Luck smiles boldly The feature film “Make Your Bets” directed by Bronuen Hughes, which slipped past the wide screens, was able to really focus on itself, so that one evening when he saw it on TV, he gave himself a vow that I would necessarily revise this picture completely, only a little later. And that's what happened.
Cinema, despite its easy and laid-back manner of narration, has a rather strong subtext. The main invisible message of the film is that you should never give up and give up early, and the difficulties that occur on our life path are temporary, because it depends only on you whether they can break you. Having a good idea, and a really cool acting job, unfortunately, can not serve as an iron guarantor of success. And despite all the advantages of the tape, frankly speaking, there are also enough minuses in it.
When I saw it, I had the impression that there was a lack of unity in this picture. Some scenes ended right in the middle of a word, some did not carry any interest at all, and were simply unnecessary. This story lacked plot twists at all, it is one single smooth segment with point A at the beginning and point B at the end, respectively. But it’s a pity, because all this would add to the film, really necessary sophistication. The ending, although it was with a claim to surprise, is still very straightforward and predicted in advance. Considering that the director Bronuen Hughes is known primarily for her serial successes, and in a big movie, she has no special experience, I still do a certain indulgence.
