The whole country knows that I am not in this film, only the name Bachchan. It's not good to lie.
That’s all I’ve learned from this “light romantic action comedy.” The film collected everything you can in your country - and negative reviews of critics, and a good box office. That happens sometimes. Probably, they went to watch it because of the star cast - here Abhishek, Ajay Devgan, and Amitabha Bachchan were shoved into the title song. But the catch is that this song is the only thing I liked. I always like the numbers where Amitabh sings. Here they sang and danced all at once, it turned out very colorful and festive. That's it. Then it was boring.
The film is a remake of the acclaimed comedy Gol Maal (1979). So I watched it, I can say with full confidence that the original is better. Finer humor, ridiculous situation, although, of course, the budget was small and such fireworks colors were not observed. However, you can still see the “deceiver”. Once. For general development and to admire your favorite actors.
Abhishek. Plays a double role, Muslim Abbaz is a man with "inclinations" and... you won't believe it!!! Abhishek Bachchana!! What was the director's thing here, I never got it, probably it was so necessary that the viewer once again smiled. In general, the paw of director Rohit Shetty was strongly felt throughout the film, with his manic passion for vehicle explosions and catastrophes. The scenes of the chase were... pompous, impressive, but absolutely out of the question. The movie was supposed to be a comedy!! And it turned out to be unclear... The actors tried and drew the comedy part - and Abhishek, and the respected Ajay Devgan, who plays here a strict and fair, but completely unburdened by the mind of the local king of the village Prithviraja, who climbs into everything and knows everything. I don’t like these people, but there’s no escape from them. He patronizes the Abbaz/Abhishek family, gives him (they!!!) a job, and allows himself to be drawn into deception, which, like a snowball, grows and prevents everyone from living around. First, two brothers, then three mothers, then an aunt-twin, then a bald man. That's how you lie.
Also in the film were Asin, who also played the double role of Saniyah. Alexa (just a terrific number of double roles in one movie!), was just a nice and honest girl, who was disgusted to deceive such a decent person as Prithvi-ji, especially since he by the end of the film in her ... how to put it mildly ... fell in love. Ajay’s love hasn’t been very good in movies lately, but here, probably, nothing was demanded of him at all. “I loved Alexa, now I want to marry you.” He also, very clumsy but sincere, showed care and love for his sister Radhika (Pracchi Desai). She's a simple girl, but she's like her brother. Such a stubborn bull, in the sense that I do what I think necessary, namely to spite everyone. There was a lot of anxiety about her stubbornness.
Conclusion: if it wasn’t for the star cast, here, honestly, with my hand on my heart – would rewind to find out what is next... The movie is disposable. Rohit Shetty has overdone the action again. Comedy, as such, did not work.
