Serotonin is not included in the kit. Eddie Salazar has everything – a high-paying job, a spacious personal office, a good house and a beautiful girl. In his quest for success, Eddie is used to giving his best, friends call him “diligent”, customers consider him “as in his business”. But here's the problem - our businessman begins insomnia. Gradually, Ed’s behavior changes, he becomes irritable, suspicious, paranoia and mania of persecution develop. Problems begin at work, personal life goes downhill.
Trying to make a film about insomnia, the filmmakers could not captivate the viewer with an action and interesting plot. In principle, you can predict how events will develop and how everything will end. Unlike the legendary film The Engineer, there are no special effects or hallucinations. This was probably influenced by the budget. I don't know if it's good or bad. Have you personally tried not to sleep? I once did not sleep for 4 days in a row, and began to notice irritability and a change in the perception of surrounding events, strange thoughts began to creep into my head ... the brain really worked differently. In principle, in “suffering insomnia” this is well shown. But this does not save the film from the mundane and gray.
The only highlight of the film is Danny Trejo, in the role of a wealthy investor, a client of Ed.
