Surprisingly, not a bad movie. Why, to my surprise, do I treat masala films (whether Bollywood or South Indian or other Indian films) as “low-grade,” with a predictable love story, a beautiful heroine and a brutal hero, and fights that violate all the laws of physics? At first glance, this movie looks like that. But still, very rarely do I get the opportunity to see a film of Sandalwood (the film industry in the language of Kannada), so I decided to see this film, which surprised me very much, destroying my stereotype that a good Masala film is not a movie.
The film tells the love story of Sharat and Swati. A medical college student, Swati comes to an economic forum for Indian students. Sharath is the best student at the college where the forum was held. Despite his diligent studies, Sharath is known as a crazy guy who is shunned by other students and teachers alike. There are rumors in college that Sharath hates girls and love. However, Swati is not afraid of these rumors. She really liked this strange young man and is trying to understand him. Soon a friendship is formed between them, which quickly develops into love. And everything would be fine, only Sharath makes an irreparable mistake.
The actors who play the main roles, Yash and Harbanda Criti, were unfamiliar to me until this point. They did well, in the spirit of masala movies. I especially liked Yash, who played a strange guy, which I involuntarily thought, and is not he really?
Those who love singing and dancing in Indian cinema, I think they will love the soundtrack. The songs are incendiary, and even more incendiary Yash, in the clips he dances very well. There are also beautiful, sad lyrical songs.
Overall, the film is pretty good. I won’t say that I would add it to the list of favorite films, but the film left a pleasant residue in my soul.
