Bully is the best dog in the movie, ah heh heh. I cared about her with all my heart. Red, fluffy, squirrel-flavored...
Without laughter is a bad movie, but still not the worst (within the framework of animal horror about sharks). To be honest, I like his concept. Sharks here do not attack in the open ocean (as is often the case in such tapes). Bloodthirsty predators (thanks to the terrible tsunami) come to the supermarket!
Agree, usually everything comes down to leaky boats or the beach (it’s funny that the prologue hinted at a similar situation), and here the characters hide from sharks in the store (on shelves with products). Yes, yes, at least some variety. By the way, in the writers you can see Russell Mulcay (Boar Sekach).
Another thing is that Australian Kimble Randall has nothing more to offer. On all other counts, unfortunately, he missed. The main character is cardboard (he was outplayed by McMahon in the form of an honest thief, a-hee-hee). Like a disaster movie, the movie doesn’t look like a tsunami, it only appears once.
Sharks (with these 3D effects) look like crap. The site says that Kimble wanted to do without computer graphics. Here it was necessary somehow to do, because the graphics really cut the eyes (shark from the film Spielberg 1975 - sends the sharks Kimble knockout).
And bloody sketches, putting hand on heart, could be brighter. I don't know, there's a lot of characters in the movie. If they do not cause special emotions, arrange a blood bath. No, instead, Kimble is trying to attract drama. The guy broke up with the girl because of the death of her brother (could be on the contrary closer). Why all this? Well, we won't worry about them. It doesn’t work in Tsunami 3D drama.
I actually liked that stupid couple with Bully, ah heh heh. They were constantly fighting each other.
To sum up. Weak horror about sharks in the supermarket, but it is definitely no worse than the game that produces some Mark Polonia (Noah’s Shark) or guys from the TV channel “Syfy” (Dam Sharks). In other words, I didn’t have a huge negative. Therefore, with a slight stretch, a neutral review.
Today I will tell you about the film Tsunami 3D released in 2011. I've always loved disaster movies, so I couldn't get past that movie.
The plot is that a huge tsunami is approaching the city. And with him, the marines. . A flock of white sharks that are just waiting to eat the survivors (in fact, white sharks do not always attack people). A group of guys took refuge in a supermarket that was flooded with water. But are sharks the only danger?
Honestly, I liked the plot of the film! This is not a typical story about an island, sharks, surfing. That's what makes up 99% of these predator movies. Immediately, the directors made an idea with the tsunami, which I think is quite original. A maniac was also added to the film. I guess they did it for more stress, and variety, of course. Here you can treat differently, someone will say that they have mixed too much, and someone will seem an interesting addition. I personally got it. This is a plus for me.
As for the characters, Jamie didn't like it a bit. She's always panicking, it really annoyed the whole movie. The main character Josh tried his best, but she only made a fuss. But it's taste. I really liked Zavier Samuel in acting. He is a perfect fit for the role of a guy who has made certain mistakes in the past, but is ready to take the will to solve them.
Musical accompaniment here in the spirit of the film "Jaws". It has become a kind of classic. In principle, such pumping sounds are ideal for this genre of cinema.
And the only, but the most important disadvantage for me is the graphics. Sharks look computerized and not realistic. You don't believe what's happening on the screen. This completely puts an end to all the advantages of the film.

If you are covered by the shark "Tsunami" in the store & nbsp; — Look for your Zavier Samuel
What only films about disasters have not been filmed, and the soul continues to ask for new adventures mixed with horrors. The best of them I have already seen – wept a schoolgirl over the “Titanic”, was amazed at cannibalism in the name of salvation in the film “Survive”, rooted for your favorite actor Jake Gyllenhaal in “The Day After Tomorrow”, laughed at the charming impudence of Will Smith in “Independence Day”. So I decided to watch Tsunami 3D. Yes, the film is 2011, and it is already 2021, but it was worth it.
The plot, fortunately, is unorthodox. In short, one beautiful day on the Australian coast struck a tsunami, and the nearest houses and buildings flooded with water with bloodthirsty sharks. Among the flooded buildings was a supermarket. And it's really funny - as if the sharks decided to go shopping, appreciating the taste of fresh meat in the store.
The cast in general played well, but my favorite is Zavier Samuel. Yes, guys, this is the cute and trusting vampire Riley Beers from Twilight, turned by a red beast for revenge by the near Bella Swan. In Tsunami, he proved himself as a true hero, saving everyone and everything. And he did it. Charismatic guy and talented.
If you like “The Ancients” or “Westworld”, then “Tsunami” played and bitchy cute Phoebe Tonkin. But she didn't really get me.
The other heroes aren't. Unless Julian McMahon played well, but he's not my hero.
As for primitive graphics (what is, that is!), it does not interfere with watching and enjoying the film. The main thing is a new idea that amazes and laughs with its stupidity, but at the same time attracts. And where else will you see a huge shark dissecting in the underground parking lot of a supermarket?
In general, the film, albeit played (well, where it is visible that a tsunami of sharks in supermarkets brought), but the driving real. In addition, I often imagine when watching, what would I do to save? And that's when I realized that my story could end sadly -- I'm swimming like this, coordination is limping. Just "Breakfast Shark"!
And, by the way, after the "Tsunami" you begin to understand that you need to be able to swim better than dogs, and on vacation by the sea always keep a stun gun or, in extreme cases, a knife nearby.

Surprisingly, the picture did not disappoint and for such a modest budget as for a disaster film, it looks quite qualitative and natural.
From the very beginning, we are introduced to the main characters, which will be a good dozen and, unlike the actual picture, they did not impress me, and sometimes even annoyed me.
This is mostly about a storyline with a couple in the car. The dialogue is pointless, and the situation when a girl said that she would not give her heel to break a window is absurd. Perhaps this line was needed to increase timekeeping, but objectively better less, but better.
Other characters, although not so bad, but in their actions at times no logic. I am very familiar with Sharni Vinson’s work and I can confidently say that this role is one of the worst of her career. Regarding Phoebe Tonkin, in addition to a pretty face (about which everyone knows), the actress is not surprised by anything else in the film.
The men, objectively, coped better with their task, but even here everything is far from ideal. I would like to mention Julian McMahon. For a long time I have not seen films with his participation, but in Tsunami he did not disappoint, and his brutality was right for the place.
The tsunami scene was cool. Of course, it is far from World Standards, but again a small budget played a role. Personally, I really liked it, because the tsunami looked fascinating and outwardly left no chance of salvation.
The shark is well made and you worry about its fate no less than for the fate of the survivors. The dog smiled very much and its final fate was the main disappointment.
As a result, a good film that looks quite tolerable for its costs and is worth watching at least once.

I really liked the movie! It seems like the idea is not original, there is nothing supernatural, but the film hooked me! All in order:
The film begins with the story of a young couple Josh and Tina, and about the tragedy that happened to her brother, who was attacked by a shark. After the tragedy, exactly 12 months pass. In the supermarket by fate, Tina and Josh met, as there were 2 robbers, a cop and his daughter and a bunch of other people: And then there is a tsunami, everything is flooded, the supermarket and the parking lot were also flooded, but our heroes do not yet know that in the water they are waiting for a shark who wants to eat a little man.
In principle, there are quite a lot of movies with sharks, and this one became one of my favorites, I watched it 2 times, and I think I will watch it again.
Actors: Here gathered an interesting company from Phoebe Tonkin (Jenie), Carib Hayne (Heather), Sharni Vinson (Tina), Juliana McMahon (Doyle), Xavier Samuel (Josh), Alice Parkinson (Naomi) and others. I liked the actors, I believed them.
I especially want to highlight Phoebe Tonkin, who I fell in love with since H2O just add water, and Xavier Samuel, who I didn’t know before and have never seen a movie with him.
Special effects: I liked the tsunami, and the sharks were pretty realistic.
Cons: I can cancel some shortcomings in the script, and sometimes silly dialogues, but in general, the impression of the picture remained positive.
Bottom line: the film "Tsunami 3D" is quite watchable, I did not regret that I stumbled upon it once, and I advise you to watch.

Movies about the confrontation between humans and sharks – cannibals are still in vogue, they were and remain interesting both then and today, although their number has decreased significantly. Here, for example, the film Kimble Randall “Tsunami 3D” will tell the viewer not only about the survival of people after the tsunami, but also added to this “double bonus”, in the form of fighting bloodthirsty sharks – cannibals.
Because of the monstrous tsunami, the employees of the supermarket, and the ordinary people who came for shopping, are locked up and cut off from the world. They do not know whether help will come or how much the tsunami has battered the city, but the survivors should worry not about others, but about themselves, because with the water, which gradually rises, comes a new danger in the form of huge white sharks.
For the directorial debut, Kimble Randall chose not a bad project - a good and interesting idea, although not new, and even in a beautiful wrapper in the form of a 3D inscription, suggests that Randall decided to play big and earn a big jackpot. In any case, the film turned out to be quite good for the debut, I expected much worse, however, the title could be changed – yes, there is a tsunami in the film, but it will hit the city within 30 seconds and will not be repeated again, but on the other hand, it would be too much to call the film Jaws 3D. For the debut, Randall worked competently and not bad, but the film stifles only what was high hopes - it is 3D, made very poorly and so poor quality that the viewer easily sees a mountain of special effects, instead of a huge tsunami, as well as in some scenes with sharks you can see the same mistake, and this hack film is very bad, especially for the debut. Six writers worked on the film at once, including Russell Mulcahy himself, that’s just why there are so many people in the ranks of the film, there were and remain big questions. The script is not bad, interesting, where some inaccuracies are noticeable, but they are quite forgivable, but as for me, most of the script is devoted to the heroes, and it was especially successful - all the characters of the film are different, everyone has their own fate and life, and this will be clearly shown in the film - someone works in the supermarket, and someone came to rob it, but it does not matter, but it is important that the characters are written very well, as their cohesion. It’s not a bad script, but you could trust it to one or two writers, but no more. Not bad camera operator Ross Emery, especially successful underwater shooting with sharks and dynamic scenes that give the film a certain atmosphere of “Jaws” Steven Spielberg, and a high-quality soundtrack from Joe Nga and Alex Oha increase the same dynamics and sound great in some moments.
Great work and actors who literally got used to the role of their characters and show a good game. Although there are not many main characters here, but most of all I liked the play of Julian McMahon, a great, charismatic actor who, although he does not seem kind at first, but his acting skills disarm, he plays really well. To fame, novices or unknown actors worked - Zavier Samuel, Sharni Vinson, Adrian Pang, Alex Russell, Phoebe Tonkin - they also managed to play well, showing everything you need, especially successfully came out with a surprise - the actors showed her perfectly that you can not dig. Good acting is another plus to the movie.
Total:
“Tsunami 3D” is a very not bad movie, in which you do not believe at first, you say that this is a real failure and you do not need to watch it, but after watching it, it turns out that not everything is so bad and the movie is quite edible. Of the advantages of the film, there is not a bad script, the work of a novice director and team and acting, but the main disadvantage, as I said, is the very ugly 3D, which simply ruins the film, makes it somehow frivolous, and it is this gap that greatly reduces the assessment of the film. I thought the film was not bad, not perfect, but not terrible, it has its pluses, there are minuses, but you can watch it. I will not recommend it, because someone will find the film cool, and someone will consider it a waste of time, but if you are interested in this project, then try, do not push it away, but start watching, suddenly like it, and so, if you have interest in the film, then take risks.
Thank you for listening!
It is clear that nothing special from the film can not be expected, so he was very condescending, just wanted to stare at me hotly beloved sea killers and shrieking people, but did not relax and there were reasons for that.
The idea of the picture is quite interesting, albeit a little absurd - these large, cold-blooded-bloodthirsty fish end up in the supermarket, after the tsunami that covered the coastal town. There will be something to profit from and this opportunity will not be missed.
I'll start with the minuses. Very, very bad graphics, the sharks themselves are painted even more or less, but their victims and the scene when a big wave sweeps the town look like a second-rate computer toy. Also annoyed by the stupid actions of the heroes, of course, without them anywhere, but the fact that the shark, in principle, did nothing to eat, these men did not take care of themselves, very surprised, and the death of a valiant Asian boy laughed almost to tears, it was a frank, ridiculous murder.
Now plus, he's the only one, but not unimportant. All this tension, when in the water, so playfully splashing legs and somewhere a little deeper to them tries on a hungry animal, and the camera jumps back and forth to exciting music, it is this burst of adrenaline and is the main advantage of such pictures and here this good enough.
The film is still not recommended for viewing, it is template, script stupid, with frankly bad special effects, I have seen better, so do not waste your time.
I haven’t watched anything of this genre for a long time and I will say this: the film is not a masterpiece, but with a budget of $ 20 million, nothing better to create was and is not possible! There is no dizzying scale, but the director managed to stuff enough special. spectacular moments into the picture and it turned out very impressive! Of course, the graphics are lame, but the essence is not important. Tsunami showed not bad and bloody scenes with snacking a person in two ferocious shark is also not enough. There was plenty of drive and tension here, considering that the actors are almost all strangers, except for some (albeit serial ones). However, later the action is completely transferred to the flooded store, where the struggle for survival and the inventing of various rescue plans begins. Immediately weaves the story with the robbers of the store, one of whom seems to have died during the flood. Despite the large number of victims and torn bodies, the film is quite optimistic, there are even funny episodes. A couple of young jerks with a dog were more attuned to each other than actually thinking about the danger. There are also unthought-out situations, where without them! I mean, the hose that was missing, but without it, there would be no sentimental moment. Powershields working underwater. Sharks that do not react to fresh bloodied corpses that have fallen victim to the earthquake, but with genuine enthusiasm rush to the bait in the form of a wound from the limb are still a living target. All this of course causes homeric laughter and reduces the assessment of the film. But the location is very suitable - in the ruined enclosed space of the supermarket. Two girls from the youth TV series “N2O” did not grow up, it was nice to see them. Dlulian McMahon, who fell in love with the TV series All the Witch Women, also pleased with the negative-positive role. Compared to Piranha 3D and Jaws 3D, Tsunami 3D is my undisputed leader. As it seemed to me, the creators did not claim any seriousness of the plot and this made the viewing easy and funny, other films listed above, loaded and caused sadness.
You can also add that Australia filmed, for her it is a decent step forward.
I recommend the film to those who want to relax and laugh a little. You can bring shrimp and beer with you to the monitor - it will not be superfluous.

“Tsunami 3D” is an Australian thriller of 2011, which turned out to be a passing, sometimes spectacular, sometimes stupid horror film with a new story about sharks and their victims. You don’t expect much from this movie, but it has a couple of surprises for viewers. The movie is not boring, and it looks easy, although of course a couple of moments with sharks you just kill because of not the quality of filming or a flaw in the bloody scene.
We see how the tsunami hit the resort town, and the heroes of this story were in the store, from which there is now no way out, because everything is flooded, and bloodthirsty white sharks swim in the water. The heroes of this story are trying to find a way out of this situation, and we see a bloody action story of young heroes and ruthless, cold-blooded sharks.
How many people can a white shark eat? After this movie, I really wanted to know. This film is not bad, mass was even scary, but it is certainly predictable and to the masterpiece of “jaws” he is far away. The actors in this thriller were many unknown to me, but everyone played well and without falsehood, and this is the most important thing. After all, when actors play poorly in such films, you do not want to watch at all. Zavier Samuel after this film I remember well, and with the main role he coped well, which can not be said about Sharni Vinson, who I did not like in this film. Julian McMahon is an interesting actor, and I like him for a long time, but how did he even get here?
If you like a disaster movie or a movie about bloodthirsty sharks, then this movie will catch your attention, but do not expect anything supernatural from it. “Tsunami 3D” is quite an interesting and fascinating thriller for one time.

“Better is a dish of greenery, and with it love, than a fattened bull, and with it hatred.”
The Bible. The Old Testament.
One of the very first films about such a man-made disaster as the tsunami, dated 1973, but special glory to its director Japanese Shiro Moritani did not bring. On the other hand, a film about such a predator as a shark, became the first summer blockbuster to bring three Oscars and world fame to its creator Steven Spielberg. What happens if you combine these components? Screen Australia was thinking about this, and this is what happened...
"Living bait is much more delicious"
The homeland of Hugh Jackman can not often please the viewer with the genre of “horror”. But once gathered six people, one of whom is the writer of the film “Deep blue sea”, began to write the script. They decided to focus on sharks, but I don’t know where all these 12 eyes were looking, the plotter came out with such flaws that if you put them together, imagining that this is a pit, then no kangaroo will jump over it (such is the Australian hochma). As a result, a dramatic work with sagging dialogues, a slight touch of horror and a pinch of a healthy khakhashka appeared.
"Today we are all written as sinners by Mother Nature"
In the Oceania food market, everything is as usual. Sellers place the goods on the shelves, buyers make purchases, robbers dodge the gaze of a security guard. But the tsunami that struck the city paved the way for sharks who came not for a 50% discount, but for free. The types came out quite cardboard and heroic. And ridiculous moments with them pond, or we can say the ocean ocean. This moment alone is enough: Get out of the water! - What? - Crumbs... You have to listen to what they say after the accident. From the cast liked Julian McMahon (magnificent Cole) who poured philosophy left-right and blonde Cariba Hayne.
During the filming, no shark was injured
How will they be harmed if none of them are alive? Okay, I know the director didn't bet on them, but on people's relationships, but even in the 1999 film, they were more convincing. Then they fly into the air for several meters, then calmly swim past the victim as if nothing had happened. It reminded me of a game when I was a kid, when you jump from bed to bed so you don't get scratched. I fell on the floor, it doesn't matter, there's still a long way to go before you get eaten. I understand suspense and all that, but cinema has to be different from children's play. Punishment of poor things is just beyond reasonable bounds.
"You're squabbling here seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and that would go on for another forty years." You'd still bend here, just moved the deadline.
Quite inexperienced Kimble Randall made a childishly naive movie. Lots of locations, everyone is a hero, and in the end, love wins, it's like movies from my childhood. Perhaps that’s why, despite all the shortcomings, I liked this story. The tsunami itself (it was the Russian distributors who emphasized it) turned out to be very computed and well invented. Not as good as Naomi Watts' The Impossible, but there's no hand-face gesture looking at it. The reference to Hitchcock, the vicissitudes with the dog and the very finale in the best traditions looked good. As the poem says, “I love my job, I’ll come here on Saturday.” The horses will die from the work, but I am an immortal pony! Do not abuse your work, have time to relax and sometimes watch this kind of popcorn movie. One night with beer and cheerful company it will definitely brighten you up. Thank you very much.
The film begins as a “shark horror” in the spirit of “Jaws”, then shows us a slightly cheap disaster film in the spirit of “The Day After Tomorrow”, and then we see the “shark version” of the film “Dawn of the Dead”. That is, a shopping supermarket was flooded with water, several survivors and a couple of sharks were launched there. So say, "Save yourselves!"
Subject to good scenery and well-drawn computer sharks, the script was rocked. The actors simply have nothing to say, and in places they are full of nonsense, referring to patriotism, it is unclear what to do. It looks silly, especially when someone gives their life for saving some left-wing "friends from the store." Yeah, five minutes later, nobody even remembers him coming out for a smoke. What is this nonsense?
Yes, and the horror itself is so so-so: there is blood, corpses too, but it is not that scary to watch, but simply not interesting. Not impressive.
What do we end up with? An hour and a half of cute Zavier Samuel, for whom I included this film, but his face alone does not save the film. Thinking back to his work in the movie “Beloved” (2009), you understand what he is capable of and what he was given to play here. Nothing! I hope he doesn’t play such mediocre roles anymore. How did this movie get to the cinema?
Our Russians changed the name to Tsunami for some reason, and many people later became deluded into thinking that the main theme of the film should be the tsunami itself.
Plot. There is a tsunami, a random group of people finds themselves in a supermarket, water floods it, all the survivors climb to the tops, once former shelves. Everyone seems to be fine, but sharks came from the depths of the sea to eat human. This is where the main action begins. I mean, people in the same place are all different. There are two troublemakers, a policeman, a thief, a girl with a guy, a guy who loved the girl who was with a guy. Well, there's a lot of people here. But also, the scene of the plot was in the parking lot, where there was a car under the water, and a couple in the car. A couple of them are not far off. Of all the actors, she really annoyed me. If this is some kind of directorial move to defuse the situation, then it did not work. Stupid, played.
I liked the other actors. Zavier Samuel, Josh, who loved a girl who was with another. He's good, it worked. Sharnie Vinson, who played the same girl, also did a great job. The other actors also played well. Phoebe Tonkin liked her role. Graphics. Yes, the sharks were not natural, they were not painted like that, but the quality of the picture is not determined only by graphics. I need some acting. And she's at the level here.
I loved it.
If we take into account all the films on this topic, all that in the “recommended”, that is, all the “jaws” and “piranhas”, then “tsunami” is unstablely located in the middle of this considerable list.
A relative plus to the film for the fact that the action takes place not in the deep blue sea, as it should be according to the laws of the genre, but in the supermarket, well, kind of original, a team of screenwriters, well done.
When I decided to spend a couple of hours watching on tnt, I honestly expected a bigger effect from underwater predators, in terms of their species. They flashed a couple of carcasses in full length, but it is not impressive exactly as Megan Fox in clothes.
Xavier during the film suffers from heartache and at the same time performs the role of a universally recognized hero and defender, a rather typical image for the main character, so for the primitiveness of this item in the minus column, rather. And the girl, by the way, is very attractive to see all the bones.
For the bones - look, for the sake of sharks - no.

The shark is rightfully considered a sanitary of the seas and a thunderstorm of careless divers, only a specially shark after a person will not, since it has something to profit from in the open sea. However, the creators of horror films believe otherwise, passing off the shark as an intelligent and calculating predator that will chase people until these same people run out of well or until the shark is killed. Well, in today's film we will talk about exactly what about such a shark, or rather sharks. So this is "Bait."
The plot for films of this genre is quite original and tells about a group of people who, because of the tsunami that hit the city, are locked in a supermarket, along with sharks. Sea predators, decided to cook full, eh?
To be honest, I did not expect something extraordinary from this picture, but only hoped that this would be a one-time film that would brighten up my leisure. And I was partly right, the movie is disposable. But this is clearly not about him. The fact is that nothing really happens in this movie. Yes, we have a tsunami that flooded almost the entire city and cost half of the film’s budget. And we also have a few sharks that occasionally eat people who inadvertently managed to fall into the water. Of course, you can safely object, say, what to expect from a film, where the action takes place in one room, to which I can safely answer that people in a confined space, and even with a killer at hand, are able to demonstrate remarkable ingenuity, and most importantly emotions. Alas, but the ingenuity of the characters is enough only to make a Korean protective suit of steel trolleys, and as oxygen to give him a huge hose, which barely passed air. As the mountain diver didn't choke, I don't know, ask the screenwriter. Although I suspect that even if you find him, he will not be able to give you a clear answer. As far as emotion is concerned, everything is bad. Heroes are enough only to squint their eyes when a shark bites a little man, but they do it so unnaturally that you wonder how they received diplomas of acting. However, marine predators are not far from the heroes. Sharks for some inexplicable reason stopped responding to blood, water fluctuations and corpses, which are scattered around the supermarket in huge numbers. Why do sharks hunt for living people? I understand in the beautiful thriller “Deep Blue Sea”, the sharks were upset that they were experimented on and therefore out of their way just to kill people, but then what is the problem?
The special effects of shielding sharks turned out to be extremely unnatural, and I would even say rubber. And this despite the fact that at one time Spielberg managed to create a truly memorable marine predator, despite the fact that the budget he had was four times less. You should be ashamed of yourself!
The music turned out surprisingly good, but it is absolutely out of place in this film. Such compositions would be perfect for some drama playing death and deprivation, and not this circus with sharks.
So what's the end result? And as a result, the viewer sees the film in all respects weak and the only thing he is capable of is to take an hour and a half of your life. So I strongly advise you to avoid this movie, thank you.

The 2011 Australian film. In it, the essence of Western education is seen nowhere. If in Russia a high school graduate even remotely understands the law of Archimedes, then the film shows the principle of denial of the obvious and considers the possibility of action of the laws of nature not according to the textbook, but according to the plan of the screenwriters.
The cook understands only spices and menus, the president only politics and (partially) geography. Writer – the art of writing scripts and only, i.e. “to touch the living”, “induce fear”, “to engage the standard feelings of different segments of the population”, etc.
The BMW car is the height of tightness, if water surrounds you to the roof - this is not the cause of panic, there is always the opportunity to consider yourself the commander of a submarine.
If a multi-level parking lot is below a floor filled with water due to flooding, this is not a cause for panic! Do not open the door, or the water will fill the lower level!
In Australia, extremely cheerful sharks swim - they do not react to human blood and meat, they react only to movement - apparently they have something from Persian kittens - they like to "play and bite" with a bow on a rope! . .
How often have I recently watched films in which it is not immediately possible to guess whether it is a thriller, or horror, or comedy, or parody.
Budget – 30 million, fees – 25 million, the Prime Minister of Russia – the end of September ... do not go, despite the pieces of meat and blood, for a high school graduate – the film will seem more “A very scary movie”, only with a serious face!

Announcement at the cash register: sharks are served out of turn.
If you’re expecting to see a tsunami here, I’m in a hurry to disappoint you, as the title of the film translates quite differently. Tsunami here as a general force majeure for a group of people who came to the store for various reasons. At the time of the oncoming wave, a pair of sharks throw here, which immediately did not fail to make their bloodthirsty purchases. It looks like it's already there.
You could first look at the movie rating, the budget, the country of the producer, the names of the actors, finally translate the title, but no, the 3D format completely eclipsed the mind. In 3D, people in confined spaces look great. There is nothing more to show for the film.
The shark scenes were mediocre. What else could have happened with such a budget? In addition to the dull drawing, their very presence and maneuvering in these conditions caused questions, disputes, and bewilderment. The shark, as well as the tsunami itself, could also be attributed to the general background, as a local irritant, if not for two moments.
The first point is how the brave ones dealt with them. Clearly, after that, each of the sharks did not deserve to be just a head with an open mouth sticking out of the water. Although here I note that such an important attribute as a sinister, dissecting water fin was not, but a pity. His frequent appearance in the frame would greatly affect the overall atmosphere, whipping up fear.
The second point is that, in contrast to sharks, no real drama has been offered by humans that would interest me. Yes, they did not throw themselves here, which became ordinary, heroic phrases and did not whine annoyingly with a reason and without. Just sit back, come to your senses, and it's time to get out.
Still, I only now realized that the way certain horror movies are made can be really powerful. It doesn’t matter if it’s a serious movie about how Alfred Hitchcock made his Psycho, or a movie with a frankly humorous accent. Although the second is ideal for this tape. For even in the trailer it was clear that the creators prepared us a rather second-rate horror film, which is nothing more than a “horror film” is not. I’m glad the movie wasn’t as bad as I thought.
I am not familiar with the work of the director Kimbl Randal, but I can say for sure that first of all his film loses due to entertainment. It is clear that within closed locations to give a lot of spectacle difficult. But nevertheless, there are not so many moments of death and they are shot traditionally for shark films. Take David R. Ellis’s Jaws 3D, which stood out for its more spectacular and inventive spectacle. The creators of this tape borrowed from the above tape only a chip with sharks, which are high to eat the victim in the jump.
Otherwise, there are no similarities and this is in principle sad. The 3D format is made in the best traditions of this kind of cinema. Every now and then various objects fly into the viewer’s face, fish, snakes and other attributes swim, but this does not cause a special impression. Largely because the visuals seemed too crude and artificial. Even the moment of the tsunami flood is fully generated on the computer and the fact that even in close-up plans even people are drawn on the computer is definitely depressing. Actually, as well as the stingy appearance of sharks, which did not impress me at all.
The story is ironic and perhaps even prophetic. Not so long ago, because of Hurricane Sandy, sharks even visited the streets of New York. And here we see how sharks ended up where they shouldn’t have been. Many viewers, including myself, willingly bet on this part of the plot. It's like "Frozen," just with sharks. That’s just seemed quite promising idea was implemented rather poorly. In fact, you could think of a lot of action. Immediately, the actions of the heroes are reduced to a minimum, as if they have nowhere to stumble here. And the sharks were disappointed that they were surprisingly lethargic.
To God, this is the first shark movie I've ever seen where they're not really active. Even in scenes of "philosophical" conversations between the characters, sharks seemed to disappear from view. Although they should be in the palm of your hand due to a rather small amount of decorations. Funny, but perhaps not as much as the idea of a self-made suit for protection from sharks from improvised means, which looked quite funny.
However, it was clear that even with a standard timekeeping of 90 minutes, the creators tried to come up with something to fill the screen space. It just didn't matter. Hence, it is not surprising that most of the picture is saturated with numerous philosophical and dramatic dialogues between the characters à la Santa Barbara, which are accompanied by very melancholy music. Which leads to a very strange morality. Mother Nature decided to punish everyone for their sins.
Stupid of course, but not like the final. Because he seemed too stupid to me. Why push a shark that eats a seagull in the last seconds of the movie? Stupid pseudo hint of a pseudo sequel. Definitely we should wait, as in the case of Piranha 3DD, the continuation of this tape, which will be called “Tsunami 3DD”. Where the wave will be larger, the sharks too, the characters of the first part will be covered with a wave again and the promised large tits of the size of DD (Double Delta) in the film flash only for a couple of moments.
Shining in “Twilight” Zavier Samuel probably in his own Australia became a real hero after this. There is no way to explain how he got into this movie. However, it seemed to me personally that he was the only one who played more or less. I thought I was pretty in Step Forward 3D, Sharnie Vinson was too skinny and absolutely unattractive. Perhaps due to the fact that the creators saved on water-resistant cosmetics, and the skinny figure of the girl in the dance film was hidden by hoodies.
She played here very weakly and looked no better. Not that “Phoebe Tonkin”, which outwardly attracted and outwardly eclipsed all the actresses of the film. Julian McMahon played normally, but it was clear that something was holding him back. Either the desire to play normally was not, or the character is sparingly spelled out. Sorry. The rest played well and not well. In general, there are no complaints about them.
The music of the composers of the film Joe Nga and Alex Oha turned out quite ordinary. Gloomy, tense and dynamic. Not a bad track for adventure horror, which is perfectly intertwined with the action taking place on the screen. There is no other way to explain how well the music fell on the events taking place on the screen and was so quickly forgotten after watching.

Enough passage, but still surprisingly pleasant, easy and sometimes even interesting horror film. The older brother of Piranius 3DD, which turned out to be much more serious, but lost miserably due to the quality and quantity of both spectacular deaths and naked boobs. There are many disadvantages, but despite this, the film looks surprisingly without much dislike. So if you want to, why not watch?
This is the first time I've seen a movie where sharks were so lethargic and uninteresting, as if they were in the penultimate stage of being exposed to a destructive drug. “Tsunami 3D” was already with a ruined script, the lack of expressive acting and a minimum of dynamic action, so still unhappy marine inhabitants in the amount of two pieces ninety-five times out of a hundred did not have time to catch prey or did not even understand that they had live food.
And the trailer gave hope for a good disposable slasher - not all the same failed "Piraniums" to produce. If you love shark movies, you will be disappointed. The plot, designed to be original, turned out to be tediously boring, with a minimized share as simple as a cork of philosophy: Mother Nature will repay everyone for his sins.
The retribution came with sharp teeth but a stupefying reaction to blood and hesitation. People stuck due to the two-minute tsunami in the supermarket, whining and whining, distracting maneuver on hard surfaces beat (nonsense, you are not a maniac some want to attract, and sea bloodthirsty monster) and figured out possible rescue options. It was rather worth escaping from themselves, for almost no death in the film is like another (which is not quite beaten). Losses in the human joint are minimal, the semantic load is minimal, empathy closed in a limited space is minimal. Shark empathy is slightly above average.
And it turned out a weak, nondescript thriller with a couple of standing moments (precisely those when the predator rightfully got to eat human beings). In an even tone, this pallor is smeared on timekeeping, so it is impossible to say that by the end something global has changed. Quietly and peacefully people swarmed in the water, collapsed iron, on cars, in their own feelings and awakened conscience.
I don’t know who will like 3D Tsunami. Revisit "Jaws" or "Deep Blue Sea". Another film-deception, which sitting in the cinema audience, probably impressed by 3D, was afraid to put low ratings. Well, it’s not exactly a failure, but it’s not worth watching.

Bait. Tsunami 3D, or as once again tried distributors.
After watching the film more than a month ago, I still can’t understand – well, did 6 people work on the script for this movie? No, driving sharks into the supermarket is original, but that's it? Where's the essence of the movie? Where's the good ending? You won’t see anything like that in this picture.
We see a bunch of people trapped in a half-submerged supermarket. I liked the process of gathering the heroes into a single group, but it all looked outrageously naive. No, right on the day of the tsunami, the former lovers met, although they had not met for a long time. Yes, it may be a coincidence, but still I think it is childishly naive.
Speaking of heroes, almost all the characters here are empty. Javier Samuel's character plays the hero and it's very annoying when he makes a decision - the music is playing, a la theme from the Terminator. In general, I did not like any character, except that the character Phoebe Tonkin stands out externally. In my opinion, the only normal person in the film whose character does not consist of numerous clichés. It was after this film that I admitted that Tonkin is not even a bad actress, although perhaps she looks the best against the background of the rest.
I was shocked that even Julian McMahon, a favorite of the girls from the series Charmed in this film did not try to play. Or maybe he understood that he did not need a good game, because one or two people will not be able to bear such a heavy burden as this “horror movie”. By the way, about the character of McMahon - some cliché, that is, a bandit who by the end of the film becomes kind (although he becomes so even in the first thirty minutes), even manages to strike up a romantic relationship.
Also in the film a lot of blunders, limping physics. And I still don't understand, well, how could a huge wave blow up buildings and break the windows of a car? And this non-destructive foreign car looks even dumber against the background of broken cars at the gas station. Another claim is that the survivors sit on wooden shelves, can’t a shark just break them? If she figured out to jump up to bite off a piece of one unnecessary character, wouldn’t it come to her that she could break these fragile racks and feast on a huge number of losers? Perhaps the claim is unfounded, but there may be those who asked this question, as I did.
The whole movie I was sitting in a half-sleep state, there were a couple of action scenes, but they were very short, so I don’t even know if they are pluses. Again, I am angry at the actions of the heroes and their heroism. Well, I can't, well, maybe it's not so annoying if music from films like The Expendables, The Terminator and other films where heroes save the world didn't sound.
“Killing a dog is even worse than killing a man!” are the only words I can remember, the rest of the dialogue is just scraps of phrases. So that's also a minus.
And to sum it up, there's not much blood in the movie. Well, I'm sorry, it's a shark movie, and there's a lot of heroes here, but the big half survive. That was a little embarrassing, too.
To the pluses, I included Phoebe Tonkin, a quote from Cariba Hein, the presence of a dog, a surviving dog. That's pretty much it.
Sometimes you want to come to the cinema, and especially with a spontaneous impulse, and see something unusual there. I don’t think the filmmakers 'Tsunami' it didn’t work out at all. I’ll tell you right away: I liked the movie!
I would even call it 'Faculty' in a way. It looks easy, there is originality, the plot is covered from all sides: sharks, barricaded people in the supermarket, along with psychopaths and other people, with their problems and joys of life. The music, of course, is not as iconic as in the above, but it is also remembered. There is something in this film, its own, sensual, worthy. Agree, because how many about sharks have been filmed: and sik, and scientists, and just in the sea, and on land, and in the air – all enough. But they keep filming. In general, I am very skeptical about this kind of stamping of films of one genre ... so I did not have to be disappointed. On the contrary, I was rather surprised.
The actors were happy. It's not bad, it's average. Funny, by the way, I notice how a little-known still young actor makes a cool, such a sexy boy with a gun (and even in the past a rescuer), and even unhappy in love, at the same time imperfect, and with his misdeeds - well, right, so look at it sometimes, well, damn cute thing directors, yes.)
Here in general gathered everyone: Cariba Hayne and Phoebe Tonkin (from the series H2O...), Alice Parkinson (' Sanctum'), Julian McMahon (' Enchanted'), Sharney Vinson (' Step forward 3D'), Richard Brancotisano (' Fighting Rangers') - ahaha, before everyone went crazy, but it seems that no one remembered him, and, of course, Xavier Samuel (our newborn). . Eclipse'! What can I say: the play of the actors is a buzz, it is nice to see little-known, almost nowhere yet have not had time to light up, heroes who are trying on the set. Xavier can play by the way, by the way, normal that here ...
Sharks are also participants, let’s not forget about them, especially since during the filming ' no shark was injured' - it is important... about this I will say - super, that they at least look like animals, in size and consciousness, and do not ram the wall to loss of pulse in their native ' Deep blue sea'. Sharks are sharks and here they are at least real similar.
The plot was good, overall. There is plenty here: danger, meat, death, love, anxiety, remorse, hope, justice! And don’t tell me the movie is for once, you don’t believe it. Look, I'll love it. You can’t say that 1 hour 30 minutes wasted. It just may not make sense, but there is no stupidity of drowsy. Australian good thrash frame (as we call it).
And if you ask what is true in this story and what is false, what is real and what is not, how the sharks got into the supermarket, where the Megawave was during the tsunami and why the film itself is translated like this (no one knows English, especially Australian, haha) - so get off, it's none of your business!
Brilliant!
Australian horror was repeatedly transferred in the schedule of the premiere, which already gave reason to doubt the quality of the picture about bloodthirsty sharks. And again, our distributors were surprised by the translation of the title of the film, because correctly "Bait" is translated as bait, which is a more appropriate name describing the essence of everything that is happening.
In this kind of film I can be interested in 3 factors:
Good special effects;
Acting (at least not below average);
The tension around what is happening.
As a result, he did not receive either. Yes, the budget is not big, but was it worth trying to show us something if it was not brought to mind? I didn’t like the tsunami at all, they decided to show it so quickly that they would close the improbability of this element. Water is pouring, but it does not cover people and buildings. And besides, the corpses of people look worse than the zombies from “Resident Evil”, as if the tsunami occurred at least a week ago.
Surprisingly, I didn’t feel compassion for the characters in the film. Incomprehensible, inadequate actions on their part, which can be predicted every time, from which you can rewind these moments. Of course, if a shark touches a car or something that people are defending against the attacks of this sea monster, then some individual will fall. Stamp on the stamp. Acting is not convincing, you do not believe in their feelings. At least take the main character, who quickly forgot about one guy and traded him for another. .
I can’t say anything about music because I don’t remember it, which means it’s not worth it.
Now it is clear why the film failed even at the national box office, because last year’s “Jaws 3D” went far. There is not a single moment that would surprise or even frighten me. Yes, there are spectacular appearances of sharks, but all for 3 D. A bad year for this kind of genre, because “Piranha 3DD” turned out to be a dummy from the category “home video”. It remains only to view favorite old paintings about toothy monsters.
P.S.: Yeah, I’m just wondering: 34. Where do so many people climb a relatively small shark?
I knew I was going to see an Australian movie. I understood that people were walking upside down and in general they were not like the rest of the world. But I didn't expect "Tsunami" -- we have, meaning "Jaws" -- to have them. And since the 3D-boom, apparently, only now got to “Hell on the contrary”, the ticket costs one and a half times more expensive.
What do we know about Australian films? I suddenly realized that I hadn't seen a single movie made on this continent, I mean, without Hollywood. And here is the opportunity to touch a different culture, the opportunity to see how they will behave in the conditions of a natural disaster, even the script for the film wrote as many as six (!!!) people. So what??? They couldn't come up with anything better than a 2007 adaptation of "Mgla" with blackjack and whores. Well, what is this?
If you watched this horror movie (if you did not watch, see a good movie), then remember that there, a fog fell on the city, a group of heroes was covered in the supermarket and they had to fight off the monsters living in this fog. In 2012, a monstrous tsunami struck the city, a group of heroes flooded in a supermarket and had to fight off sharks who swam shopping. If you discard all the “how is this even possible?” that stick out like rusty nails from a cake, then there is something like a psychological thriller, adjusted for the curvature of space-time.
A group of people are stuck in a confined space, someone loves someone, someone hates someone. Someone's father, and someone's daughter, there's that dude, in general a thief recidivist with a gone roof, who is sure to do something in the end, and those "heroes" will die for the benefit of everyone else, it's a pity, but their death will be completely senseless and illogical. It seems to be an emergency situation, you can work at 200% and the suffering of bullshit like, “let’s wrap a man with a net-rabbi, put a basket on his head from the supermarket, give a breathing hose and in this “suit” we will send a walk on the bottom, as if the shark does not eat.” It seems that local people should know about the habits of great white sharks (although how does it fit between the shelves in the store????) But we have dropped this question, tourists in titanium cages are lowered, and they want to protect it with this?
But the Carcharodon carcharias themselves behave in the best traditions of the film Jaws, appear from nowhere, necessarily under sinister music, eat everything that moves and jump out of the water for a couple of meters. Look, however, very bad, on a good schedule money apparently not enough. But in the end, one guy gets bored and he, again, in the best traditions of shooters, shoots them with a shotgun in slo-mo.
B-movie in 3D and that's it. Even when it will be possible to get, it makes sense to watch only for fans of the genre, an attack of nausea does not cause and on that thank you. But if you have a break in patterns, then you are to blame yourself, the manufacturer does not bear responsibility, maybe they do.
P.S. Remember the movie Taxi 2, in particular the episode where Commissioner Gébert falls in a car into a pool and the car does not leak. Here, the BMW three is the same, only it also has lights on, I bet it would start and go.

Despite the negative comments, I decided to watch this film, and I realized it.
From the very beginning of the film, the director does not disdain the lack of logic. As an example - why the heroine of the film broke up with her fiancé - the main character and found another fiancé? They were going to get married, and when her brother was attacked by a shark, he tried to save him as best he could. So there was no reason. But the director has his own logic.
Film titles our distributors like to twist in their own way. The title of this film, they also did not ignore and called it “Tsunami 3D”.
After reading the title “Tsunami 3D”, it is logical for viewers to expect a tsunami display in various angles to demonstrate high-quality drawing in 3D, but this was not the case here. The tsunami itself shows only a few seconds for the entire film, the rest of the film the viewer sees just attempts to live bait to survive, or have fun feeding themselves to sharks. The original name sounds like “Bait”, but translators do not care whether their name is appropriate or not, the main thing is to create the appearance of your greater contribution to the translation.
I called the bait of the heroes for a reason, because a person is at least a little trying to think, trying to do something to survive. And here it is not clear why jumping into the water next to the bloodied body when the shark bit off half the director on the pipe; it is not clear why they dragged the air supply hose by drowning a Korean who turned off the electricity, although they saw that he did not have enough length to reach and he could take a hose and continue breathing back a couple of steps, if they did not drag him, why would the bait in the form of a piece of meat be dragged on the same rope with the girl-daughter of a police officer, why in the garage climbed the pipes to a couple when they needed him, why? There are a lot of “whys” that lead to the conclusion that the heroes are not reasonable people, and their sense of self-preservation and logic does not even reach primitive animals, but corresponds to the usual bait suspended on a hook.
According to the decimal system, I would rate the film as follows:
The plot of the film - 3 (overstated this facepalm because they are not brands of the film industry)
Special effects - 5,
Actors play - 6 (but in this scenario...)
Soundtrack - 3 (hmm... was he?)
Atmosphericity - 3 (like a zoo-horror)
I didn't see any horror.
I won’t recommend it because it’s hard to find films that are so bad. There is nothing to look at when there is no interesting scenario, no quality special effects, no atmosphere. If the film’s publishers return at least half of the costs out of the $20 million spent, they will be very lucky.

Catch the wave! And people... (that's me for sharks).
The main problem for the characters of this film was not a natural disaster, which titled the film (in our box office). Sharks. This is not news to anyone who has seen the trailer (or just read the annotation for the movie). Therefore, the film should rather be compared with “Jaws” and the like, and not some “Poseidon”. “Tsunami” seemed to me more interesting than “Piranium 3DD”, more plausible (despite the steepness of Josh) “Jaws 3D”, but less tense than “Open sea”. But the theme of love and sacrifice, the film still resembles “Poseidon”.
According to the trailer, I did not like the heroism that the main character, Josh, was endowed with. Unconvincingly, when he realized the danger floating in the water, he said to everyone with knowledge: “Everyone get out of the water!” But during the film, everything became clear. He used to be a lifeguard. Hence this confidence in words, the tone of an expert in his field.
But, still, his “outings on the stage” before a one-on-one meeting with a shark are a little “hooked up” in the 90s. He was like the hero of Schwarzenegger or Van Damme. Some kind of unreal fearlessness. This was especially true of the underwater scene with a gun.
One of the most challenging episodes, of course, is the tsunami. It was beautiful, strong, windy, realistic. But not enough. And fast. I didn’t want more of that scale (it is!), but more time for all this beauty. Just as fast was, for example, the climb from the depths in Rise from the Deep. And in the movie “Otherworldly”, the tsunami influx is shown more spectacularly. The process and the consequences.
The film loved its cruelty. This was related to the consequences of the disaster (for example, bloodied corpses after an avalanche of water). But it’s funny that a car was left untouched, stuck in a blonde couple with a dog (and fake Gucci shoes). But the place of imprisonment they got interesting, where the water level was just at the roof level, and they could open the hatch without flooding the cabin.
It was the first time that the shark showed itself. A floating commodity led by a doll. It was creepy. If I didn’t know it was a shark, I would have guessed it was the same monsters as in “Rise from the Deep.”
I also liked the snake that was swimming in the water. It’s a pity she didn’t become a minor negative character. The ocean could bring so much joy with it, except for sharks! But he did. Krabikov. Or something like that. What a good time they came! Little did the audience fall...
The shark does not eat the dog, the shark only eats Asians and killers.
Scenario
Let's just say the plot is not the worst, but not by 10 points for sure. I bet 4, for the fact that there are no jokes and there are no complaints to the author of the script, but too many survivors, too much. (It would be better to leave only 2 heroes, and all the rest of that.)
Game of actors
Too much is played, very stupid arguments are made where they think who will climb, + emotions there (I understand of course that this is not a drama, but still, emotions should be at least some. + I did not see that they would throw up at least once, because after some scenes I was drawn to puke (not because of the movie, because of the corpses) In general, I think it will pull 5 out of 10, but I would bet less.
Black humor
Quite good, but sometimes it infuriates, and for this I will not put an assessment.
Directorial work
No, it's great, but if it were a little more scary, more unexpectedly, it would have been a very, very movie, but the director of Kimble Randall probably didn't want to shoot exactly the horrors that should scare. Only 6 out of 10
Special effects
Here’s what, and this is one of the best (2 special effects for the entire film) tsunami itself, which is done perfectly, and the second will see for yourself. 7 out of 10
Operational work
The whole movie is really in 3D, and that’s great. 9 out of 10 (single high score)
This film has a huge drawback, which should be noted immediately: they overdid, of course, with graphics. Rather, they did not overdo it, but put too much hope on it, and the budget did not allow to make it realistic. For example, the most recent frame, when the main characters are selected outside.
Where there were no special effects, everything is great. Blue water, rose blood - in general, everything is bright and beautiful.
Sharks are better off. Well, if you miss somewhere, then to allow unrealism is the most terrible oversight. Thank goodness I was able to feel fear when I looked at the shark because it was 10 points.
Next story. Don't you feel empty? Can you find a real story in this movie? Template horror films are horror films with a smeared plot. It’s a shame to admit, but in the “Tsunami” the plot was pumped up. First of all, the main character’s relationship with his ex, especially in the supermarket, made me laugh. Imagine: The store. Sudden new flood. Most died. Everywhere there is blood, water, somewhere there are two sharks swimming. And to your group of survivors warmed up robber, who, despite everything, has some clever thoughts. And you lie on top of the shelves and say, "Why did I leave him," or "I miss him." And then, when these breakups jump into the water where the two sharks swim, kiss, chat. And under this "romantic" atmosphere will put music from melodrama.
I personally had a smile of perplexity on my face.
And the next blunder is a psychological load.
Did you notice that when the shark ate someone in front of the heroes, some of them with a stone face closed their eyes and turned away? You know, there's also an association that when you eat five plates of semolina porridge, then it's going to be very nauseating. Here is the situation with the dismemberment of the shark: the characters closed their eyes as if had seen it, and nausea immediately rushed to the throat.
Now actors. Things are much better with them. As always, any film will grace Phoebe Tonkin. Here she played for all ten - and this is given the fact that she previously had the role of a thief with five years of experience. And she showed her character strong and brave.
Zavier Samuel, I think, played who the directors wanted to see. Well, for me, his character would arrive from time to time in some kind of coma. In any case, his work in the film deserves praise. Although recently it is believed that the so-called brooding, sad characters are cool and unusual.
Cariba Hayne would never have thought that she would be able to play a naive blonde with a dog. There’s no doubt about it – she’s a great actress. She has won every project.
In the end, as banal as it may sound, but it is a one-off film.
6 out of 10
Despite the fresh idea of the creators to lock two white sharks, ordinary buyers, criminals and a policeman under one roof of a supermarket, turns out to be extremely stereotyped, ordinary, empty and completely uninteresting horror.
After a well-drawn tsunami on the computer for such a modest budget as 20 million Australian dollars, the authors begin to make one mistake after another, which is the main for the horror action in the film is not enough.
The first authors leave alive only actors, and secondary shoppers safely drowned in the water. From what to send in the water to feed the shark almost no one remains. And only a couple of volunteers decide to become a victim of a great white shark, but even those who decided to go down into the water of their own free will, the authors are not going to give all of them to fish. From what some of them will have to portray the drama in an even place under water, and it already looks completely uninteresting and superfluous and in such a passing horror pretends to nothing but to be watched one evening.
The authors immediately negate the conflict between the robbers and the police, instead of somehow developing this storyline. She could bring additional tension to the film, which in the film is already in short supply, to develop the film in another direction, but no, the authors firmly decided to shoot according to the template.
B — the third creators use through steriotype characters. The criminal turned out to be a good guy, the driver is a moron, whose further account is known to the viewer in advance, with his stupid blonde girlfriend who does not know how to play. Loser turned out to be a hero and rescuer, etc.
In the fourth, the film is full of stupid, unlogical moments and blunders. For example, having a firearm with you, why not use it immediately when the shark is swimming under your feet, why pull to the last. The shark prefers to wait for her to get down and therefore circles in the supermarket, despite the fact that in the water there is a huge amount of ready-made food in the form of fresh corpses. A truck in the parking lot that flipped over several times remains lying on the roof with whole, unbroken windows, similarly, a red car with a driven moron and a stupid blonde with a dog also remains intact after a powerful rush of water to the parking lot.
In the fifth, the film has an extremely predictable denouement with a marine predator, although spectacular.
As a result, "Bait" or according to our "Tsunami 3D" - turn out to be an extremely template not interesting one-off horror movie about a shark in a supermarket.
The coastal Australian town is covered by a huge wave. Several survivors after the impact of the elements are locked in a semi-submerged supermarket. The situation is aggravated by the fact that, along with a mass of water, two white sharks swam into the store.
Thanks to the appearance of the great horror Stephen Spielberg “Jaws”, the fashion for a shark in the cinema will never pass, and while there is blue, films about beautifully terrible white fish will shoot again, again and again. Another case is that Spielberg opened and practically closed this topic with his outstanding cardine. It is impossible to make a film better or at least at the same artistic level of practicality. Therefore, any new shark "horror" is doomed to compare with the masterpiece not in favor of the latter. And according to the essence, no one is trying to make a nominally high-artistic picture of the famous sea predator, but simply exploits this theme in a divisive key with a varying degree of success. Yes, sometimes there are technically virtuoso, captivating and spectacular tapes, such as, for example, “Deep Blue Sea” by Rennie Harlin, but the main matrix of predatory-fish scarecrows – juveniles of comparablely low quality, as in the survey, and “Terechtina”. And conditionally a good shark "horror" is now considered to be the most effective film purely from the position of a visual composition, which, with all the primitiveness of the dramaturgy and template performances, is still pleasant to watch on a large ecran in 3D format and do not regret the missed not scores. How once to such a category of good popcorn bait belongs to the Australian "Bait" (Bait), which received in the Russian sale spectacular, but stupid in relation to the creation of the tape called "Tsunami 3D".
Of course, the huge waves in the film will be declared in the official nickname, but only one time in the beginning of the main action. According to the essence, namely the large-scale, but short-term natural cataclysm of the tape and differs from its peers, creating a deceptively impressive film-catastrophe with the following atypical situation for the main characters. The very plot twist with people who found themselves in a semi-submerged closed area in the company of hefty voracious sharks is interesting, but further implementation leaves much to be desired. Yes, director Kimble Randall is trying to combine a suspension-triller with a naturalistic horror, and places from him it gets, but in the whole cartina spoils the tribal-banal dramaturgy with too much stereotyped performances and, as a result, it is spoiled. In my opinion, in this case, in order to make an even and thoughtless, but real spectacular and memorable movie, the director would have to throw himself into one of the extremes: either to make a frank black thrash, pulling out a tape counting wild gags and hypertrophied. Or it’s easy to extirpate a spence from each scene, releasing it with dark-naturalistic violence, putting the film in the category of “serious” horror. And in the case of Kimble Randall is trying to please everyone, then frightening the audience with “meaty” scenes, then cheering the audience with funny verbal pieces of individual episodes, which, in a deadly dangerous situation, simply make fun of each other, as if they were threatened by their own sins. That’s why “Tsunami 3D” seems to be a good film, but at the same time it is so populous and stupid-unsurprising that it stands on the steps of a paint-and-pass horror story, which I watched and forgot.
Therefore, in "Tsunami 3D" it is useless to look for an interesting history with all the unusual initial situation, artistic delights and unusual local turns. Here you need to simply enjoy a classy visual series, which is really qualitatively visual with a relatively low budget and at times eerie three-dimensional effects, which are really felt under the conditions of a cinematographic review and 3D glasses. On you not once from the ekran "jump out" the shark with different treatments, water will flood from toe to head ... or blood! Many who have watched this film scold him for the “badly sprouted” fish, but in my opinion, the sharks here look as if at once true, at least when they simply swim underwater in “bloodless” episodes. Well, what about the unexpected attacks, then at this moment the animator of the global role does not play, most importantly, that you shudder in three-dimensional glasses, and means the scene has fulfilled its task.
Therefore, “Tsunami 3D” is a purely cinematic movie, an effective visual attraction for viewing with a disabled brain. In the tape there is no style, no history, no art, but there are jaws, blood and not so bad 3D. That's too little for a really good movie, but enough for a weekend brainstorm. Not bad for pop horror, but not for anything big.
It’s a good movie if you’re not biased at first. Bribes the cast. It was very nice to see two mermaids Phoebe Tonkin and Caribu Hein in interesting roles. Phoebe very fit the image of a certain detachment, lovers of risk, and Cariba, oddly enough, looked harmoniously in the image of a nearby blonde with her favorite dog. By the way, it was her line that diluted the thriller with comedic notes. And of course, Julian McMahon. He's playing negative roles, damn it! And in this movie, he's a bad guy on his way to correction, which adds even more charm to him. The rest of the actors also looked good, at least to their play no complaints.
As for the plot itself, I was pleased with the lack of nudity and bed scenes. And lately, that is not horror, so surely bare breasts will flash somewhere. Apparently, it's a relaxation in between the torn heads, I don't know. But here everything is fair: they said that the film about the tsunami and the shark - you please and the tsunami and the shark, without any nudity.
I will not say that the development of the plot shines with originality, rather the opposite. You can call "Tsunami" a horror movie with a happy ending: all the superfluous on this holiday of life, the shark ate, so to speak, her selective menu. I lacked a bit of poignancy in this regard, although there should not always be unhappy endings. There are plenty of boo moments in the film, with and without 3D effects. So you'll be sprinkled with blood, I promise. My verdict - "Tsunami" is quite suitable for viewing in the cinema (for best effect) to pass your evening.

Water treatments with predators storming three-dimensional screens continue, the benefit of the aquatic genre is not yet identical to alien invasions or hangover comedies. Water is associated with sharks, and the beaches in the cinema with sex, drugs and booze, this is the trend in Piranhas, where there are debauchery, ironic deaths. A fresh Australian product still reached our screens "Tsunami 3D" acts in a completely different concept. The movie, although not signed under the comedy, but serves as a clear resemblance to “Very Scary Movie”, where the shark theme falls in demand. You will not be frightened and indulged in excessive shaming on a par with debauchery, but rather gracefully run through the genre of “water, danger, and all that.”
Tsunami (Japanese "port, bay", "wave") - long waves generated by a powerful impact on the entire water column in the ocean or other body of water. The cause of most tsunamis are underwater earthquakes, during which there is a sharp shift (raising or lowering) of the seabed.
Our distributor again twisted over the title of the picture, because the tsunami itself is here for a couple of minutes, but to confess, it looks spectacular, but not suitable for sweeping even the terrifying bays of water in 2012. Demonstrating their visual beauty and competent head of the director, young people are still smart and have not exhausted the work of the brain, while they can demonstrate their beautiful bodies, although the topic of boobs here did not want to be revealed. “Tsunami” on the one hand makes the spectacle of the waiting viewer get bored, and on the other hand it is more pleasant and kind for the older audience, and the main point is not the equalization of breasts, not the amount of blood in the water, but the relationship of the characters, the concept of humanity, but the whole theme looks trivial and not so warm. And the analysis of relationships, survival techniques in the supermarket, affected by the tsunami and teeming there White Shark will make you see a better creation with a twist in the acting.
If your body and mind has not been touched by adrenaline, then perhaps the Tsunami will make a dash and transfer the characters to the atmosphere with their cockroaches in their heads and cute dogs in cars. Wounded policeman looks like Harrison Ford, his gangster and brave daughter, her boy is the star of the Chronicle, a criminal with the habits of “petrosianism” and malicious laughter, as well as a more humane bandit, a couple of Asians and their new model of “Iron Man”, as well as unforgettable gifts of ironic, mocking scenes with dramatic death and other laws of the genre, where the most vividly revealed relationships of the characters, and the shark eats everything that will fly and hang over her.
