I'm fuckin' good, but if you haven't seen Futurama yet, you're just living a fucking life! This animated series is just a fucking bomb in the mouth, 10 out of 10, and you can also put 100 out of 10, because it's so fucked up that the extent of my joy doesn't fit into this comment! Do you have any idea how funny this is? This is not for some snotty jerks, this is for those who live in the real world and understand that life is not only colored rainbows and fluffy fucking kittens! The main character, Fry, is just a cool kid who enters the future, and there begins a hellish series of funny, moronic and absurd situations. Fuck, there's even a robot with an alcohol problem that's so charismatic, it's just awesome! And don't tell me you don't like black humor because it's just a carriage here. This is not for your fearful grandmothers, but for those who are ready to blow their brains with laughter and look at the world through the prism of moronic adventures. So, brother, don't waste your time, sit down and watch Futurama right now, and don't fuck your life with some boring TV series. Get out of here, this fucker is worth it!
Series 'Futurama' As soon as I started watching, I immediately plunged into the exciting world of the future. The story of Philip Frye, who was frozen in 2000 and awakens after 1,000 years, is simply astounding.
The characters are very charismatic and attractive. I especially liked Leela, a brave cyclops girl. Her interaction with Fry brings a lot of humor and romance. Each of the characters has its own uniqueness and adds to the overall atmosphere.
The plot is also very interesting and unusual. I couldn't imagine what Frya's future would hold, and each episode only surprises and captivates me more and more. Stories about the adventures of heroes, travels around the universe and various curious situations are simply impossible to come off.
I can’t forget the quality of the series itself. The image is clear, the colors are bright, and the sound perfectly conveys all the dialogue and sound effects, although the series was released in 1999.
In general, the series ' Futurama' is a real hit and find for all fans of science fiction and humor. It skillfully combines an exciting plot, interesting characters and excellent quality. I recommend everyone to pay attention to this series - you will not regret it!
The series "Futurama" is a bright and original animated comedy that won the hearts of millions of viewers. Created by Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons, this series offers a unique blend of science fiction, humor and deep social commentary.
The main characters of the series are a team of unlucky characters in the future: Fry, Leela, Bender and others. Each character has a unique personality and faces incredible adventures in the universe. Their interaction and comic situations create a continuous stream of laughter and entertainment.
The script of Futurama is one of the strong aspects of the series. He skillfully combines comedic elements with deep social and philosophical themes. The series humorously comments on modernity, technology, politics and other aspects of our society. This makes Futurama not only fun, but also intellectually insightful.
The visual performance of the series is vivid and memorable. Comics are stylized in bright colors and rich details, and the characters are unique and original. The variety of animation techniques adds energy and dynamism to each episode.
"Futurama" is replete with great acting voices. Billy West, Kate Sagal, John DiMaggio and other actors perfectly convey the characters and give them their unique voices. Their talent and charisma add to the uniqueness and vitality of the whole story.
The series "Futurama" became a classic of the animation genre. It offers viewers witty humor, clever jokes and exciting adventures. If you’re looking for a show that makes you laugh, make you think, and leave a mark on your heart, Futurama is the perfect choice.
Back in 2001, I was 9 years old, I lived in a remote village called Lesken, and our TV showed only 2 channels, you know what, and he showed them not always.
But at the end of 2001, I was visiting relatives in our regional center Vladikavkaz, and this wonderful animated series was shown on X-ray in the evening, so my acquaintance with modern pop culture began with one of the best representatives of his genre, mocking pop culture and representing social satire (at that time I did not even know such words). Imagine the culture shock I experienced, and imagine how much I liked Futurama and just watched one episode.
Then I moved to Vladikavkaz. Of course, I did not have the Internet and computer, as well as the opportunity to watch Futurama on TV, because we did not catch the Ren-TV channel. But there was a DVD player, and I spent a lot of time going around the disc stores, but there was no Futurama I wanted. And so in 2005, I accidentally found out that my classmate had a four-season Futurama CD. I, of course, asked for this disc and was in anticipation of viewing.
Holidays had just started and I could enjoy watching. I curtained the curtains, moved the chair to the TV and smeared all 4 seasons in 2 days, I hardly slept or ate during this time. This experience has been one of the best in my life, in the life of a man who has never been more than 100km from home, who has never seen life and had little. In many ways, it was Futurama that shaped my sense of humor and attitude to humor, as well as a significant share of the worldview, it pushed the boundaries of my thinking as much as nothing else. I experienced from watching the whole gamut of feelings: from the puppy joy that I can see it, to tears of emotional longing when I watched the series about Fry’s dog.
In 2013, I watched the last episode. A stinging male tear rolled down my bristling cheek. It took me an era. The world will not be the same. During this time there was inflation 'spirituality' because now we can see what we want. And then we valued the little we got, passed these scratched discs to each other like ancient relics, we did not consume, but sincerely enjoyed. At least that's what I did with Futurama. While there’s been a lot of cool stuff coming out since 99, Futurama will always be No. 1 in my heart, and even the megacool & #39; Rick & Morty & #39; won’t be able to displace it. Because Futurama is a soul.
It is quite difficult to describe your attitude to this excellent, but still unambiguous project. Futurama, as everyone knows, was created by the 'father' of the Simpsons, the great and brilliant Matt Groening.
So after watching the whole series, can I say that it turned out to create a masterpiece of animation, to revolutionize the genre for the second time?
Partly yes, it turned out, the series was atmospheric, moderately funny, and exciting with notes of intrigue and unique appeal, this review will be unequivocally positive, but still it is worth noting that the series is not so smooth. Think for yourself, it is not for nothing that it was closed for the second time.
In this review, I will almost not describe the series itself, but will try to describe why, in my opinion, it was closed, except for the official version.
Regarding the ending, in the series it came out great, even broke into tears, and I believe that it is not worth continuing, so as not to spoil the impression of this brilliant creation. Because understand correctly, not everyone is able to overcome the “syndrome of soap”.
The series also has some other ‘sicknesses’ that I think eventually led to ‘closing’.
It seems that after the 4th season, the writers simply ran out of ideas, and after financial problems, and the return of the series to the screens, futurama, everyone’s favorite and most worthy alternative to the Simpsons, has changed.
It is not difficult to see that it went into replays, I myself noticed somewhere from 7 to 10 cases, “it was already” only with a slightly changed plot, and I do not deny that these cases could be more.
And at some times there were series, when watching which there was a feeling that the writers are just trying to stretch the airtime, lost any atmosphere, wanted to turn off.
And specifically, such series by the sixth season began to be traced more and more, of course, they did not occupy even 50% of the season, but still were present, which still spoiled the impression.
Of course, you will say that other series are also unsuccessful series and it is impossible not to agree, but after closing the return to the screens should be 100% in all respects to win the attention of other viewers, but not only to please loyal fans.
Maybe managed to win from the fifth season and more fans, but apparently it was not enough to continue the series.
Futurama is a great unique and unique animated series, but the closure after the fourth season killed him, as he failed to return with dignity despite the successful ones in the subsequent series, it is definitely worth watching for everyone who loves animated series, high-quality and high-atmospheric animation.
I am not afraid of this word, (and maybe your dislikes) it should not be returned to the screens, the third attempt can finally kill everything.
Since now everyone has a “crisis of ideas” and only selected and time-tested series continue to float.
It is worth remembering such a fast, unique, cosmic, snarky, atmospheric, funny and unique adventure, which will certainly leave the most positive responses in the hearts of its viewers.
I think it is pointless to evaluate more than masterpiece series, Futurama with its few series has managed to become a benchmark, a non-standard bright and unique, a small but memorable era in the history of animation.
Farewell to Futurama, goodbye and a huge thank you for all the time spent with you.
I draw my analytical gaze on this animated series, already being an adult, because in childhood and youth unfairly deprived him of attention. Now, even on the one hand, I regret it, because, as it turned out, the project is very cool, and on the other hand, it is very good to look at things with a mature mind.
So historically it happened that the first “Futurama” on television screens came “The Simpsons”. The latter became the main object of attention and adoration in childhood. Moreover, the series did not have such bells and whistles with a futuristic theme, and was understandable to all ages. Futurama, in turn, was, although very similar to him graphically, but took attention only in those moments when the Simpsons were not shown or by chance. This year, in the wake of some popularity of Internet memes, animations and quotes from the series, it was decided to delve deeply into this multiverse. As mentioned above, the project was unfairly neglected!
In fact, the series turned out to be extremely interesting and incendiary, although at first there were several serious claims, for example: “The impossibility of such a deep humanization of robots” – they feel pain, experience emotions, can have children, grow up and other inconsistencies; or “heads in banks” – some historical figures are taken from those eras where such technologies were not close! In general, there are a lot of such questions and problematic cases, but to my great surprise, at one point they simply dissipated. This moment comes when you are imbued with heroes and their lives, and already on the full acceptance of the legend, you enjoy this drive. It is the drive that should be caught in this story, because unnecessary questions, logical inconsistencies and nagging will greatly reduce the level of pleasure received. As an outspoken “negative analyst,” I am even glad that with Futurama this rigid paradigm of evaluation has been swept aside.
Futurama is a story filled with love, kind sentimentalisms, sad and joyful moments, fantastic adventures and black humor. It is the focus, on the one hand - a fascinating children's show with funny scenes, and on the other - an adult attraction with colorful characters and caustic phrases. What I especially want to note is that the last two seasons are flavored with black humor even more than the previous ones.
Futurama is one of those animated series whose possibilities are truly limitless. These possibilities are due to the fact that the action takes place in the distant future - the 31st century, where, according to the animated series, technology has increased to the point that almost everything is possible. The series always skillfully uses this trump card, which itself and handed out, making the series so close to our most limitless fantasies that it remains only surprised to clap their hands in almost each of the series.
The series, which tells about the future, can afford to include in the team of the main characters very extraordinary in appearance personalities, which also gives many advantages to this series. The humor of the series is based on our stereotypes, which means everyone will understand it. One of the components of humor is to bring the action to absurd situations, which is obtained by the creators especially skillfully, so in terms of humor, the series did not disappoint me.
The characters are the main victory of this series, as I said, they are all original not only in appearance, but also in character. For each character, you can create a dozen series, ridiculing some stereotyped features of their character. What is one Bender, who sat in the hearts of most fans of the series. Very dramatic and romantic looks Fry, who is madly in love with Lila, his love will envy almost all of us. The creators subtly make some moments, again using the trump cards of the future, that the viewer has tears in his eyes. The series is very dramatic, which distinguishes it from other humorous projects. A huge plus.
If I could extend this moment for eternity, I would.
Unfortunately, the series is closed for the second time, which means, according to many, it is already fatal. Thank you for such a heartfelt farewell to the audience, you have always respected them and worked hard. Thank you to Fry for his ridiculous stupidities, thank you to Leela for her courage, thank you to Dr. Farnsworth for his inventions, which were the basis for most of the series, thank you to Dr. Zoidberg and Hermes for stereotyped images at which you never tire of laughing, thank you to Bender for what he is. Futurama is in my heart. I hope the second reboot will happen. In the meantime, goodbye, favorite cartoon series. 98%
Our worldview is limited. Speaking of ours, I mean, first of all, the Russian worldview. It is difficult for us to perceive some things that contradict the official television network. We disdain themes of homosexuality, science fiction, comics and anime, believing that all this is worthless nonsense that promotes unconventional values and corrupts “our children.” It makes me sad and amusing at the same time. Of course, it is impossible to prove such people using rational arguments and arguments, because, as mentioned above, they are limited and they are not able to cross these “spiritual bonds”, to split this shell.
I came across this barrier recently when I explained to a friend that Futurama is not really for children, or rather not just for children. Entering a discussion would be reckless, so I turned to another topic. By that time, I watched the animated series and saw all the feature films, and I had a whole impression of what I saw, which I want to share in this review.
At first I decided to watch The Simpsons, and at first I liked them, but by the middle of the fourth season I got bored and decided to switch to Futurama, and I couldn’t come off. Perhaps, after watching The Simpsons, my point of view will change, but at the moment Futurama seemed to me better and much more interesting than the life of a typical American family.
The most important argument in the "Futurama" piggy bank, of course, will be that this is the history of the future, transporting us a thousand years ahead. Of all the futuristic stories I’ve seen, this is the biggest and most exciting. To be honest, it is quite difficult to fit all the advantages and pros of this masterpiece of animation in one review, but my task is to tell about my impressions and, perhaps, although it is very presumptuous, push someone to see this work.
Of course, everyone knows, even those who have not watched the series, about the character of a robot flexor named Bender. Of all the robots we've seen in film and television, he's, in my opinion, the most charismatic and versatile. The first analogy that comes to mind is the giant Shrek, describing his kind in the first part of the franchise as bows that have multiple layers. So Bender, at first glance, is a completely immoral type, an alcoholic, a cliptoman and a womanizer, but gradually he opens up in front of us from several sides and does not look so definitely bad guy. This thesis generally applies to all the characters in the picture. It is impossible to describe the main and even secondary characters in two or three words, it will take a short article.
And what parodies and gags are placed in this series?! It is brilliant to put the heads of all famous personalities in a special solution to support life, so that it was possible to use them in the plot. And their travels through time, where they change the course of history and juggle time paradoxes like oranges can't be told here, because it's going to ruin the whole experience.
However, this series would not be so brilliant if comedy at times did not give way to drama. You can make the top 10 episodes that brought me to tears and that I watched over and over again. Like Scrubs, this series is beautiful balancing on the verge of comedy and tragedy, which stands out against the background of its younger brothers ("South Park, American Dad, Family Guy).
Another thing I would like to point out is the sitcom’s original voice acting, which I think is excellent and perfect. These may be big words, but they are. The heroes of Futurama are associated only with these voices and I cannot imagine that you can watch the series in any Russian voiceover and get the same emotions. As a consequence, I urge you to watch in the original or at least with subtitles.
All the main things, I probably said, and little things such as music, graphics, the plot is better to see for yourself, and spoiler is not allowed here.
I adore Matt Groening (in fact, his name is different, but I’m used to the Russian version) for two reasons. The first is the Simpsons, the second is Futurama. This man has great imagination and a great sense of humor. Of course, he is not the only one so wonderful. He wasn’t the only one working on these series. But these two universes would not have been born without them. At least as we know them.
And so, comparing these two projects of one creator, I realize that I love Futurama more. That her characters are more attached, that the stories of these characters seem to me more exciting, more funny and interesting.
The love of Futurama is simply explained. There is space (ethen for me just fat plus). Jokes on scientific topics, that is, various references to history, physics, mathematics (the whole series is devoted to Leonardo da Vinci, who, as it turned out, was not as smart as Fry's contemporaries seemed). The ban on stereotypes (as an example, basketball players living on a separate planet and at the same time having an outstanding IQ) and on corporations (for example, joked on Apple). It was not without gags (does he want to sleep??????????????) and of course, parodies (the Lord of the Rings, the Godfather, the Matrix, the Alien, etc.).
But that's not what Futurama is. As we know, in the Simpsons there is Homer (who, for a moment, wrote a lot of the Higgs boson in 1998), in Pirates of the Caribbean Jack Sparrow, and our series is famous, first of all, Bender and Fry. Although, the entire team of the Interplanetary Express is so colorful, unusual and charming that it is time to award the prize in the nomination of the best actor.
It may seem that Futurama is just a series about the future, shown in a playful way. Yes, it is, but... Not only that. In fact, the creators of the animated series did not want it, but everything went much deeper.
The main feature of Futurama is a series dedicated to time. More than once, writers have addressed the paradox in time (what happens if you kill your grandfather?), the past and the future. And it just so happened that these same series were directly related to the main romantic line - Fry and Leela.
I will not go into details here, but I will say that both these topics were closely interrelated and a real fan of the series will necessarily after watching the seventh season say that someone somewhere cuts onions.
The writers of Futurama received well-deserved awards. Ken Keeler (a good last name for a mathematician and philosopher) received an award from the Writers Guild of the United States. The efforts of the children were noted by critics and various publications. Nomination ' Best Screenplay' Nebula Awards I consider the most revealing.
But there is something to be clarified about the seasons. It's not all that smooth.
For me, Futurama I divide up to the fifth season and after, because the fifth season itself, as you know, is a cut feature. They're a little weird, the humor is specific, but still in the spirit of the series. However, it is more like additions, rather than full material. The fifth season does not move much, except that I recommend watching the last full-length to understand what happens in the first series of the sixth season.
From the first to the fourth seasons, this animated series fascinated with its world and diversity. There were a lot of gags and pranks, but aimed more at various events, phenomena or unusual situations. Not every joke can be understood. The futurama of the first seasons is a banter, as I said earlier, over our ideas, stereotypes about science and more.
Most importantly. There are no failed series in the first seasons. Everything is well and well done.
Obviously, Cohen and Groening had a lot of ideas to show Futurama. Here you and the planet of the Amazons, and the birthplace of the incredibly funny Dr. Zoidberg, the planet of robots racists and even the whole Mind. They expanded the world of Futurama as much as they could until season five.
What happened to the sixth? And the trend of references to modernity began, and most importantly, more attention was paid to the heroes of history. Futurama has no new personalities after the first seasons. The creators stopped expanding the universe, they decided to develop the characters themselves (Bender, Fry and the professor, and, of course, Lila).
To be honest, I didn’t like the first series of the sixth. The thought crept in that 'Futurama is not a cake'. But then I was happy. There was drama, there were new jokes. Yes, they are different, but they are also funny and funny. The phrase of the Universal Mind from reincarnation alone made me laugh and at the same time made me think.
Yes, it was unusual from a different format, but then I came to the conclusion that it is no worse than the past. It's just that there are failed series, it is. But there are also brilliant interesting stories, even better than the series from the first seasons.
In the end, everyone will find something in this series, if, of course, fascinated with it. Futurama's ending isn't easy and gives fans food for thought.
I can only say that I will miss the wonderful world of the Interplanetary Express team. I'm not afraid to say, but this is the best humorous fiction of the 21st century. And although the future is described, these stories are primarily about ourselves.
Are we different from them?
Fry was convinced that no, not much. He loved the world, which was not by chance.
I did too. Oh, we should order a cryogenic chamber and sleep there for 1,000 years. Shut Up and Take My Money!
P.S. A sage once said, 'Nothing dies, it only takes on another form.' And he died. Next time you see a lizard under your feet, don't kill it. Maybe it's you.
This is an outstanding work, necessary for anyone who wants to plunge into the ironic interpretation of Postmodernity. Futurama has made an interesting move: our modernity is tipped into the future and presented as the past in their coordinate system. And immediately all the principles, values, “common sense” and so on, on which we spend our health and time, is ridiculous, ridiculous, ugly.
“Futurama” is perhaps the most striking, consistent, and intelligent banter on Modernity in all its spirituality: faith in Science, Humanism, Consumerism, Anthropocentrism, Secularity, and Globalization are brutally and ironically exposed in the series. Along with them, various subcultural crafts are exposed, pretending to be the guides from the spiritual postmodern to traditional society, to “other worlds” or somewhere else. One Robodyavol what is worth...
“Futurama” is the brightest illustration of McLuhan’s “global village”, into which the so-called “high-tech society”, devoid of humanistic pathos, is turning. It's an in-between of disparate freaks who have realized they can't get away from each other.
The impasse of Western-centered imperialist modernism is so vividly shown that a lecture in some fashionable branch of humanities can be devoted to each series. As Guy Debord dreamed, everything has been brought to its limit, and this limit is absurd. I wish Debord had lived to see Futurama. Or I would brag not about the amount of alcohol consumed, but, as I do, about the total time spent watching "F." and discussing it.
Futurama is an aesthetic and intellectual catharsis. You can't stay the same after watching it. The world is changing. It turns out that the world did not exist – one string of discourses and interpretations. And this cartoon is a guide from the world of illusions in... Probably in the world of aesthetic conceit. But it is immeasurably more interesting than the “world” as we see it.
There is no center in Futurama – it is a stylistically and methodically pure postmodern work. In it, you walk in circles, repeatedly noticing new details illustrating both the spontaneous outburst of the compressed unconscious and the mind that has lost faith in its existence. Therefore, F. is an outstanding work, necessary for anyone who wants to plunge into the ironic comprehension of Postmodernity.

Futurama is my favorite animated series, I first watched it at the age of 9 and still delighted. When I get really sad, I just turn on Futurama and get a lot of positive emotions. Created this ingenious creation Matt Groening and David Cohen, and I want to say thank you very much for such a brilliant animated series!
In Futurama, you can see a lot of characters, and you can find yourself among them. I’m not going to talk about the characters, because you have to see them yourself!
The humour of the series is high, yes, there were not very good episodes in the last seasons of the series, but the season consists of 95% of great episodes!
Now futurama has been broken down into quotes. Such as: "Kiss my shiny ass","Bag of bones""Good news, friends!"!
Futurama has been closed many times, but it has been reborn, so I look forward to continuing this splendor. Since legends do not die, they are reborn.
A great series that I will never forget! Everyone should see this masterpiece!

“Futurama” is a fantastic, comedy cartoon, which turned out to be a good and interesting series filled with humor and wit. Anyone who likes The Simpsons should watch this fantastic series, because it turned out to be decent and incredibly funny, and not watching it, I think, means really losing a lot. “Futurama” will take you to the incredible world of the future with a hero from our time, and each series is unique and filled with sharp and funny humor, and once you start watching this cartoon, and then it will simply be impossible to break away from it.
We see the protagonist, who accidentally froze and got into the future, which for him was alien and incomprehensible, but this event he took as a chance that gave him fate to start a new life, and we see how he meets his friends and who he becomes when he gets into the team, and in each series he is waiting for an incredibly adventure that is saturated with fantasy, humor and various comic and incredible events.
Futurama is a seven-season series, and I love this cartoon and have watched it eagerly and enthusiastically. His characters Fry, Leela and Bender become beloved, because they are funny and interesting, non-standard personalities. The world and stories of this cartoon from the first to the last series are saturated with fiction and various funny and incredible events that will please and laugh to tears. I am convinced that Futurama deserved and deserves the attention of the audience and positive feedback. If you want to get a range of different positive emotions and a lot of laughter and various memorable jokes and crown phrases, then this cartoon for viewing is perfect for you.
Good to see you!
For me, Futurama is more than a series. I lived with him, changed, grew up. Having started watching as a 13-year-old, the last episode (I hope the series will continue one day) has now been seen by a 26-year-old man.
In parallel with the series, I developed, so it turned out that the series laid the meaning and those situations that were relevant to me. Just like Fry, I took steps to understand what kind of world I live in, who surrounds me, what real friendship, affection, love, career, team is.
Hell, when Fry was learning to play an instrument, I was thinking about going back to music at the time. When I started taking the first steps towards Lila, I was also taking the first steps in my relationship with the opposite sex. While studying at university, I remembered how Fry studied at Mars University with a monkey and living with him in a dorm.
Futurama instilled in me a love of animation in general, without it, I would not like any other series.
I really like how the creators of the cartoon relate to their offspring, after all, in the Simpsons they are within a certain framework, and in Futurama – this is a pure outlet for them, it is noticeable, it feels, everything is done with such love and carefully verified that you just enjoy every moment, every episode.
At an unrealistically high level for many now in the comedy animated series raises serious, life, everyday, social and political themes. Futurama is for all ages.
In my memory, Futurama is one of the first series where there are no children's main characters, where there are no family man stamps like in The Simpsons, Griffins, Cleveland, American Dad and the like.
Futurama is different. Futurama is forever!

An incredible amount of humor, satire, science, fiction and jokes - in this cartoon enough. Very interesting story, each series of the series in its own original and interesting.
In the animated series, all the characters are perfectly drawn and written. Of course, the main trump card of the cartoon is Bender. But all the characters to the smallest detail are perfectly shown in the series:
Fry is a stupid guy who accidentally ends up in the year 3000 and tries to change his life. Despite the fact that in most TV shows, dumb characters cause rather disgust and anger, with Fry everything is the opposite. It is incredibly funny to watch the everyday life of a simple guy in the future.
Lila is a chick, a fighting, strong and quite intelligent girl who has a difficult relationship with Fry. It also makes you smile.
Bender is a robot flexor, an incredibly charismatic and independent hero who needs nothing but booze.
Professor Farnsworth is Fry’s quirky, 150-year-old nephew (my favorite character) because his scenes are laughable. Take just this scene:
"Oh my God, they're in danger, we need to do something." But I'm already in my pajamas.
Dr. Zoidberg is also a very eccentric, always hungry hero.
So, we have a very fresh, interesting, funny animated series with great main characters and a beautiful plot!

- Don't be an idiot! - Whatever I want, I'll be!!!
As a child, I was raised on Soviet cartoons and Disney classics, so when I was offered to watch Futurama, I agreed without much desire. But still. . .
At first I liked the main characters. It was fun to watch Bender's leprosy and Zoidberg's naive detachment, Lila's experiences and the changes in Fry.
Then I started the second stage, when I began to notice secondary characters, a parody of American and not only the world. Look at the flag of the Earth, does it remind you of anything? And the pretentiousness of Lincoln and the head of their universal church? Separately, Brannigan is the full embodiment of American foreign policy. The Jewish Question (Robonuka), environmental issues, social media and much more are often touched upon. Music groups, celebrities, great minds of the past - nothing is hidden from the eyes of the creators of the cartoon.
We look at Calculon and Hypnotoad in the series and it seems absurd that the characters of the show are interested in, but everything becomes extremely simple when we turn on the TV and go through the list of popular programs. The film features parodies of films 'Titanic', 'Avatar', 'Hachiko', 'The Godfather' and more.
What is interesting, despite the piquant humor used in the series (of course it is focused on the older audience), there is no vulgarity in its perverse form. Yes, sometimes heroes are rude, but they are sincere. And it's very much like our own lives.
After this stage comes the next one, when you notice the philosophy in the cartoon, when you begin to empathize with the main characters. And Zoidberg is no longer some squid feeding from the trash, but a smart doctor who is unlucky in life. Professor, this is the embodiment of the mind, which does not get along in ordinary life. Bureaucrat Hermes, whom we can meet in our time in any office, and Leela, Fry and Bender are ourselves. A stunning view of world relations ' ... the human race has a dream to kill a stranger, not to learn his language and views on the world ...
This is all 'Futurama' This is a series that will allow you to relax with the benefit of the soul.
I will end with my favorite quote:
- I'm immortal!
Why do you cry when something threatens you?
- I'm just hysterical!!!

I first met this animated series about a year and a half ago. It was shown (and still shown) on the Ukrainian channel under the name QTV.
Futurama immediately caught my attention, primarily due to the extraordinary and interesting plot. Not least, there were a lot of jokes. And all the seasons, several full-lengths flashed very quickly.
Futurama tells us about the life of an ordinary courier Philip Fry, who freezes in a cryo-chamber for one day, and defrosts when the yard is already three thousand years old. In the following series, he meets the residents of New New York - Cyclops Lila and robot Bender, and also finds his only relative, 150-year-old nephew of Professor Farnsworth. Also in the future, we get acquainted with other characters: Dr. John Zoidberg, intern Amy Wong, Scruffy cleaner, bureaucrat Hermes Conrad, DOOP captain Zep Brennigan and his lieutenant Kif Kumkal and so on. Each of these characters is different and interesting (but my favorite characters are Bender, Scruffy and Zep Brennigen – each of them is an extraordinary and interesting person). All this is seasoned with interesting and original humor. Yes, sometimes humor is absurd, but for me it is for the best. I also want to note a good soundtrack that gives even more dynamism to Futurama. Thank you Christopher Ting!
Over. I can safely say that Futurama is one of the funniest animated series I’ve seen. It is suitable for everyone – adults, children and even pensioners. Although in the courtyard of Futurama and three thousandth year, but jokes, characters and even music from this cartoon will be close to the viewer. Bravo to Matt Groening!
The creators of Futurama, in my opinion, surpassed themselves from The Simpsons.
P.S.3010 is the same as 2012.
"Futurama", despite its not so great age in comparison with "The Simpsons", another brainchild of Matt Groening, has already managed to gain considerable popularity around the world. What is the secret to success?
Of course, thinking about "Futurama" involuntarily compare it with "The Simpsons" and "Griffins" - they have something in common, but there are serious differences. First, the plot of this series is more consistent and linear - many changes that occurred in the universe of "Futurama" can be immediately seen in the next episode. Second, vulgarity and violence are minimized here, especially when compared to Griffins - and the show only works. And thirdly, humor here is more specific, there are of course simple, accessible jokes, but the main attraction of the series is the banter over all fiction and pseudoscientific humor.
The authors managed to joke about a lot of things in the series - mathematics, physics, programming, and history become objects for jokes here. Plus, if you are familiar with the most significant works of science fiction – you will not be bored. Each episode can be analyzed in detail, and you will be surprised how much the creators invested in it.
Simple, understandable to everyone jokes in the animated series, perhaps, not so much – maybe some episodes will not cause you unrestrained laughter in all 22 minutes of screen time. However, Futurama has something to attract the viewer beyond humor. These are bright, memorable characters and an amazing, worked out to the smallest detail universe. And while some things are not logically consistent with the 3,000 years during which Futurama is set, the fantasy of the authors works perfectly. Despite the reodiciously manifested cynicism and tragedy of what is happening in the series, he has a rather cheerful, kind atmosphere, because of which he does not let go - all the time I want supplements.
The work of the writers deserves special praise - the plots here sometimes come across really interesting, on a head above many other animated series. The authors skillfully use manipulations with time and elements of the futuristic universe, sometimes even insert detective elements, touching and dramatic scenes into the series, and sometimes just make a parody of any object of modern mass culture, adapting to the realities of Futurama - and in all cases it turns out to be the place.
It is also worth noting that the series is especially good with the original voiceover – Bender’s snide lines, Hermes’ Jamaican accent, Zoidberg’s slurred speech, Professor Fansworth’s catchphrase “Good news, everyone!” – no translation can convey their charm to the fullest.
If you for some reason have not seen this animated series, and even more so if you love science fiction, Futurama is what the doctor prescribed.
Since Futurama is so much more than just a cartoon, my assessment is:
10 out of 10
My story is similar to yours, only more interesting, because the main character is a robot. Futurama, an amazing world in which our descendants will be lucky to live... if the future is like this, freeze me! What was my first impression of the series? I confess honestly: "God, what is this drawing???" After dozens of anime series with refined drawing, the style in which the series was created seemed to me primitive. But then what happened? And the fact that I completely forgot about everything that at first seemed repulsive, because the series sucks into its universe, and you can’t think about anything! A magnificent creation, with humor, and at the same time it is built really on science, which makes it even more attractive, every step of the hero, every series is thought out to the smallest detail, and the creators were able to masterfully weave the plot line throughout all seasons. Each hero is unique, individual and interesting. Crazy professor, stupid but very kind Fry, a mutant who thinks she's an alien, a crab who thinks she's a doctor, and on top of it all, Robotic! Oh, yes, without Bender, the series would not be half as interesting! Even minor characters are interestingly thought out: news anchors, a janitor whom everyone sees as if for the first time (but it seems to bother him little). In general, the series is recommended for viewing. And I will not be surprised if after a while, I want to see this magnificent work again, and again plunge into the world of the three thousandth year! Rating 10 out of 10! Original
