Don't let your story be spit on by the BBC The plot does not name dates, but the times are near-war. Accurate calculation that stupid, but desperate children's adventures will please children, young generation and thoughtless mothers who will see here only a happy childhood. And children will absorb all the false anti-Russian message of the plot if we allow such films to be in the ranking.
Russian villains are preparing in Leningrad weapons, secret ships capable of destroying entirely English cities. And all this in wartime, when in reality, the Northern and Baltic fleets of the USSR fought with the armada of German ships and submarine fleet of Nazi Germany, drowned them in unequal battles at the cost of the lives of heroic crews. They fought in alliance with the British. Only thanks to the heroic steadfastness of the Red Army and the people of the Soviet Union did the Germans lack the strength to open a front in the British Isles. Forget it.
Replacing the Russians with the Germans would be true, but there is no mention of the Germans in the film. Not a word about the war. It was just a light-hearted era, when English families were without men, captains were “working” off the southern coast of China (probably fishing with friendly Nazi Japanese around Japanese oil fields in Indonesia), and the Russians were preparing super weapons to destroy everyone. This film is a subtle political rot from the BBC: a vile census of history, covered in a moderately naive but curly-twisted plot with innocent children, so that for a family viewing, an unthinking parent nostalgic for the adventures of childhood, and young captains and pirates, along with a good “boy” romance, swallow the lies of the context and study a new history where there is no greatest crime in the history of mankind and shameful pages in the biography of European states, and there are no Russian, Soviet Heroes, and no People of the Winner.
Friends, dear parents, there are many good movies for children. Be careful, take care of the children, they themselves do not notice the deception. The score of this film is 0 brainwashing. It is impossible to evaluate the play of children in isolation from the intention of the creators.
