I can’t boast that I watched all the original episodes of Fixiki, but I really like the animated series. For good morals, lack of cynicism, acceptable visual range and thoughtful universe without logical holes "Fixica" deserved the love that gives it the audience, especially children. And despite the fact that the series was present cognitive content, “Fixics” generally rule. Of course, to see these little men on the big screen would be great, but it requires a large-scale story that does not fit well with what the series is. However, 2017 came and our masters of all trades showed themselves in cinemas.
The fact that we have a full-length, you can see from the first to the last second, as the creators carefully worked not only on the models of the characters, but also on the lighting, shadows and flights of the camera in virtual reality. This is now really a big "knave!", which promises a lot ... but in fact still looks like one very long series, the action of which still takes place either in Dim Dimych's apartment or in Professor Chudakov's laboratory, not counting the fact that we saw a piece of alley at the entrance. This, along with a rather inappropriate and therefore awkward love line, does not allow you to put the film a ten. I should have thought more broadly.
And yet, the Big Secret is great! Although the film lasts less than an hour and a half, the script manages to sufficiently reveal all the characters to the part of the audience that is not familiar with the series, without depriving anyone, not even the dog Kusachka. Dad Dim Dimych, who suddenly turns out to be interested in finding little men, arouses genuine interest from the very beginning, but the main character becomes Fire - the most disobedient of the learners. The decision to make Fier the epicenter of the planned chaos justified itself completely, since the character of the whole series ran into some trouble, and he needed a certain shake-up. Modified alter-ego Fayer turned out to be both wonderful and funny at once, and action scenes in which our lover of adventure shandars everything with lightning, in places came out so fast, as if the viewer rushes with dizzying speed on a roller coaster. And I must say that this speed even through the screen energizes. The cartoon awakens in the audience the desire to go somewhere, create and surprise the whole world.
“Fixics: Big Secret” is an animated film made precisely to entertain his audience, and he succeeded. If you don’t have a festive mood, turn it on. You will be happy for yourself and for the fact that Russia is already increasing the production of its own voluminous cartoons, for which foreign competitors are not ashamed.
So, let’s start with the fact that the animated series “Fixiki” my daughter fell in love with six months of age (at the time of writing this text she is just over two years old). So I learned for myself what "Fixics" and what they eat. Pussy! At first, I didn’t understand my tiny princess’ preoccupation with this strange cartoon. Then the misunderstanding turned into indignation. Then understand. Then in the acceptance of the heart.
And so, I began to treat "Fixics" as something mandatory. And I'm not crazy. And there's no leniency here. Cartoons about “Fixics” are actually very necessary, important and even moderately interesting! But it's an animated series. Where else will the conversation about the full meter go. "Fixics: Big Secret." The trailer was certainly intriguing. First of all, by the fact that to Dim Dimych came a friend Katya, which in m / s only talked about, but this girl was not brought to the stage ...
There is one strange thing that has puzzled me (this is really strange: why am I even thinking about this?!) Why did Dim Dimychu change his hair??? They did not do so well!! Or did they want to comb it like that before Katya came? Questions. Questions, as Gandalf Grey said, require answers.
Okay. The full-length film begins with the fact that father Dim Dimych hosts a TV program like our "Inexplicable, but a fact!". The release concerned little men. Who's the fix? (Not to mention that this is a big secret.) Here we go. Little men. And that's why I didn't like it. It is long, not quite necessary and somehow attracted.
And then, in spite (for the heroes to spite)Fire - the eternal shoal - got carried away by pranks, as a result of which he became almost uncontrollable. It came to the point that this red color of hyperactive fixic can even be recorded as antagonists. There was an electrical experience. I don’t want to tell you everything, it’s better to do it yourself.
In parallel Professor Chudakov and Dedus planned to open a company called Remote repair. And that’s why Fire even helps to throw future customers. Well, that's how it looks. And -- well, here's the cliché, of course -- But Fire is turning everything into chaos. It smelled cold. This is how most of the stories are built because...
Lizonka - Chudakov's assistant, as usual, suspected something. And now I have already called Dim Dimycchi’s father to come to get the material.
Is it okay that some unthinkable synopsis happened? What does that say? I mean, there's a lot of action here. At the beginning of the text, I talked about my daughter’s bigotry and devotion to The Fixies. The “big secret” was difficult for her. She walked away from the screen and came. It is good that we watched at home.
But, by the way, I can’t say what the flag “Fixica” drops. They just walked on thin ice. But they did, in my opinion...
I didn’t talk about the other characters because they didn’t change. Only Fire comes to the fore. And I also learned that Dim Dimych's mother is called Lyuba. But this is so... the little things that concern only those who already know the universe of “Fixics”. But, in any case, I recommend everyone – a pleasant view!
7 out of 10
Perhaps I gave such a low rating because of my expectations, because the cartoon is beautiful, but the series is very short and the film is long and I had high hopes for it. But the film completely left the ideology of the series, it is unclear why the interlaced thread of the relationship between Dim Dimych and Katya (why is it in a children's cartoon?), a completely mediocre plot, and the idea that you can just cut off electricity, all the time creeps into your head. A long wait, a few trailers, a good promo, and in the end? The plot is not just disgusting, it just isn't there! New characters (except Katya, but her character was already in the cartoon) - no. Graphics - in an ordinary cartoon, in my opinion better. Timekeeping - the film is stretched from 15 minutes per hour. The only plus is the soundtrack (it is because of this that 1 out of 10, not 0), but it clearly does not pull all the minuses, and half of the Fixipelaks were already in the cartoon. The film is sponsored by the Cinema Foundation, i.e. with our money. The budget, as you can see, is not small, but for some reason it did not affect the film. Everything is as always, except for the fact that the money here is not spat on idiots, who can not distinguish the next garbage of Russian production from normal cinema, but on innocent children who persuade their parents to take them to the movies and sponsor the good life of lazy and insolent talentless people.
What are the Fixies about? It’s about how our world works, how it works and where it came from. This is a mini-encyclopedia for kids.
And here comes the full-length cartoon. Confidence in the authors of the cartoons was so great that neither the reviews nor the trailer were watched. We bought our tickets and went.
That was a big mistake.
This film is full of unexpected discoveries.
Papa Dim Dimych is the host of the program about cheap sensations with the appropriate name “Mysterious Mysteries”. The tautology of the hearing cut right away! Why?!
Which TV channel does this look like?
Dim Dimych is a C. So his mother invited his classmate Katya to study with him. Katya, at first all positive, turns out to be a manipulator and blackmailer, seeking to find out the secret by any means.
And the fixes themselves? All right, Fire's a fool. But he was a good fool! For some reason, under the influence of current, he becomes a villain, then in general, a potential terrorist.
To prevent Firer from escaping from the lab, there was nothing better than plugging the sockets. Why not just turn off the electricity? It's very simple - then the film would have ended immediately!
I always thought it was like a Christmas tree. The plot moves are banal.
So for a Christmas tree, the plot is suitable, but for Fixics, alas... Replace the characters with any others and nothing will change. It's full of stories! For example, how Fixiki lived in the past, or Fixiki accidentally found themselves in space, or got to school and study laboratory instruments – this would be useful for schoolchildren, many would want to learn about these devices in life.
When you take your son to a movie for the first time, you feel like it’s your first time. Well, I'm lucky at least not to have the torment of choice. The child for two months only said that about the full-length Fiksik and, in fact, it was only to wait for the premiere. We waited. We bought a front row ticket. We waited for the commercial. And finally it started.
You know, when you hear at least three Fixipelics every night for a couple of years, life really changes. Melodies are imprinted firmly into the subconscious, the surrounding world gradually acquires pastel shades, pores disappear from the noses of others, and to each screw lying on the road you playfully and understandingly wink and nod your head. Like an old friend. Because we know what will happen to him as soon as we turn away.
I mean, I mean that for those who watched with children animated series, entry into the full-length will be quick and painless. Except that the name Dim Dimych cuts the rumor. I don't think we've heard it before. All the same familiar apartment, which I personally with the whole layout can — wake me up at three in the morning — with all the furniture to draw in the carcad. All the same heroes. Dim Dimych has grown up, according to the local chronology, only two years have passed since his first meeting with Simka and Nolik (here, however, a harsh critic begins to yell inside: they used cd-discs two years ago, and Dim Dimych’s TV was warm, lamp? I don’t believe!). Same guy chasing the little guys. The same school of fixes... Oh, stop. The school isn't exactly that. There are changes. And it is clear why - the average duration of the series along with the credits and the song is 6 minutes. Why do landscapes often change, if one long time ago carefully rendered room is enough? It's a different story. 80 minutes. The audience gets bored. The scenery needs to be changed. Therefore, the school is still in the same huge laboratory of Professor Chudakov, but in addition to it we will be given a look into the surrounding premises. And these regular changes of locations feature-length is very useful, because the picture remained at the level of the TV series. On the one hand, it is habitual, on the other – terribly annoying. Where you could add details, make the world a little more alive, we still have flat, monochromatic walls and blurred backgrounds. We didn’t come to Pixar, did we? Children will not be outraged, but parents will not be ashamed.
Plot. Oh, there's a lot to talk about. On the one hand, for some reason, it was revealed to everyone long before viewing, flooding kiosks and shops with a huge colorful book with a novelization of the script. And even before, there were chocolate eggs with character figures, and from there we learned about two new fixes. On the other hand, for those who, like I deliberately did not read it (although I bought it right away, of course), spoilers are a deserved object of hate. I will say this: it would be possible to lower the age rating. My son at 4 and half laughed joyfully, was afraid and sang all the familiar songs in full voice. When he left the room, he demanded that he be returned immediately and shown again. But at times I was not that bored, just sad at recognizable Russian realities. Here, for example, the TV journalist who broke into the laboratory and destroyed it, obviously working on the Ren-TV channel. If I were Professor Chudakov, I would immediately summon the police, make a huge lawsuit and get grants for this case. There are innumerable disasters in the city. But for some reason, one wants to blame this not on unknown natural forces, but on the insolent Moscow mayors. Perhaps that is why the techno-disaster shown to us does not have any special consequences and does not lead to organizational conclusions. Well, or it's all off-screen. And one of the drawbacks of the new technology, unfortunately, we will not be told. In the center of events is a completely fantastic joint invention of Genius Evgenievich and Dedus. And the sinister consequences of playing with the unknown forces of nature.
And not only Dim Dimych grew up. Shakespeare’s passions are boiling in the frame, monstrous crimes are committed in the name of love, characters that seemed to be a stronghold of reason and virtue betray the ideals of friendship, release cruel monsters to the will and openly disobey their elders. It's all about adulthood.
And the most important thing is that we will finally be shown Katya!
I told you about the schedule, the plot too. Why else do we love the Fixies? To the songs, of course. There are only 4 of them in the movie. Alas, conventionally new was only one, and that for the most part the remix is well-known. Next time I would like to have a couple of exclusives. But, again, the child sang in the hall with a full voice and rejoiced - well, like a child.
To sum it up, you know, it turned out a lot. This is not a masterpiece, of course, it is just a very strong first full-length pancake, contrary to all expectations, not released in a lump. Against the background of the latest domestic crafts, "Big Secret" looks excellent. Most of the low-budget animated films that have flooded theaters in recent years, look down and shamefully fade into the shadows. And if we compare with the giants, then we are, of course, far from the “Puzzle”, but already “Captain Underpants” for sure. Then let the numbers speak.
Graphics: 7 out of 10. We need more details.
Plot: 7 out of 10. I will rate 6 as an adult spectator looking everywhere for analogies, archetypes and hidden references to other works of art. From a child’s point of view, this is a minimum of 8. The truth is somewhere in the middle.
Sound and music: 5 out of 10. No really new songs? Really? No, well, Loza, of course, on his raft sailed for 30-plus years, but in the case of the Fixics, this raft was once on board the Medusa.
Acting game: 10 out of 10. This place was great. Recognizable voices, great work, no overplay. No surprises, and this is the best thing you can want.
The result will be 7 fixes out of 10 (and a little Bug for the final scene in the kitchen). My son and I are waiting for the next full-length series. And I recommend to all doubters not to wait until a pirated copy leaks into the network, but to get out to the movies. A good domestic animation is too rare a guest on the big screen to miss.

For those who grew up on Soviet cartoons, the characters are ambiguous. On the one hand, they look somehow too bright, three-dimensional, “not our”, causing the first associations with “another Hollywood”. On the other hand, as soon as the parent makes a small effort to look at and listen to what the characters that his child likes are doing there, it turns out that everything is not bad at all, but very good! Fixics are kind, intelligent, inquisitive, selfless... exactly the way we were taught to be as children, and what we certainly want to teach our children!
On the TV series "Fixics" has grown up a whole generation - those who began to watch it in 2010, have grown up, become obese, turned into sullen teenagers and proudly show everyone that "long ago grew out of cartoons." Oddly enough, even these gloomy teenagers, if you drag them to the cinema to watch a seemingly “baby” movie, the feature film “Fixics”, come out completely sincerely satisfied.
The plot is rich, the quality of the image - as I thought, for domestic cinema - wonderful! - and most importantly, the characters (although at first it was difficult to get used to the small changes that occurred in their appearance) - remained as honest and correct as they always were - even from a complex collision - "in an interesting movie there should be a villain, but we have all the good!" - turned out with the help of an extremely curious move. This is a very musical film!
Resume - yes, this is a great domestic full-length animation, which is not ashamed, but quite the opposite! Fixies are good!
And who and what are these things? And who are they and who are they? And what's the secret?
The cartoon, made on the same series, called all fans to go to it in order to learn all that was not shown in the animated series. Did the creators manage to shove into an hour and a half cartoon everything that could not be shown in the series? It seems to me that he did not quite succeed. Why? Let's find out!
The first nagging to the cartoon - there is no clear narrative of the plot. There are plenty of storylines in the cartoon: Fixies in the lab trying to catch a stupefying new-generation fixture; then Simka and Nolik in Dim Dimych's room watching children do their homework; Mom in the kitchen with her dog; The professor with his secretary in the lab who "catch cockroaches and spiders," etc. In general, the plot is not traced here, everything happens quickly, not evenly. The animated series was instructive and told us about any device, accompanied by 2D inserts. In the cartoon, all this is not in sight, the plot is based only on the entertainment of what is happening, and not the education of children, i.e. the creators focused on the artistic part. I was disappointed the most.
The second nagging of the cartoon is irrationality of what is happening on the screen. Fixies are quite intelligent people, but sometimes in some situations they are terribly stupid. Even adults are shown here as short-sighted types (for example, the Professor is shown as a very gifted person, but very absent-minded and naive).
About the characters already known to all from the series, it does not make sense to talk, but it is worth talking about a new one.
Katya - Dim Dimych's friend, shown as an intelligent, inquisitive and strict girl. She has red hair, she is wearing a striped red and white sweater, and on top of it is a denim dress. Both characters respond with sympathy.
Other characters were mentioned in the animated series: Dim Dimych’s friend Vasya, but there was no screen time for him. Probably, the green moving alien on his avatar in the “Skype” series “Keyboard” – this was Vasya. Not clear
The jokes of the cartoon will not be completely understood by young children (in the hall everyone sat silently from references to the Lord of the Rings, Star Trek or Johnny Depp).
I would like to mention some little things: Scientists’ coats have now turned green. Little screen time for the character-fix player; There are no new songs about fixies, but only rehashing of old ones from the animated series.
Finally, I want to highlight the changed graphics in the cartoon, as can be seen from the trailer: The hair of the characters became better than the bulges on the heads of the characters. But it's only in people. There has been no change in coordination.
The scope of action has expanded: now events unfold on the street, in the lobby of the laboratory, in the storeroom of the laboratory, etc.
As a result, a medium-sized cartoon, with plot twists inherent in other films, which is aimed at commercial success, although I doubt that. Even if you haven’t watched the animated series and don’t know about it (how it is), you’ll still be told about the world of fixtures. From me:
6 out of 10
P.S. I didn't mention the title of the movie: "Fixics: Big Secret."
Fixiki, whom parents have known for a long time, decided to follow in the footsteps of modern times and released a full-length story about the adventures of “electronics”. I don’t raise my hand to write what’s in this pun, but there is so much Hollywood there that it becomes pity our cartoons. “Plastic”, artificial, insensitive spectacle on the screen.
First, a cartoon for children 6+. And in this situation, the rating is not justified, honestly cartoon children +12.
Secondly, the cartoon has no soul or logic. The story for a 20 minute cartoon for some reason stretched almost 1.5 hours. Humor, which was supposed to make children laugh, even for adults becomes very difficult.
And thirdly, the creators have moved away from the most important idea of Fixiki, from the fact that in principle they once won a niche in the Russian box office and this is a cognitive beginning for children of all generations, which in this cartoon is completely absent.
The short result is stuffed with Hollywood jokes, and inserts. Poor children's humor, lack of a normal plot, too difficult to perceive.
