Toro, or "bull" in Spanish, is the name of one of the gangster brothers working for one elder, who keeps in suspense any small business in the region, and, if necessary, can restore order with whomever necessary. One day, one of these sorties ends in a murder, and one of the brothers goes to prison when the second continues all these years to work for his patron.
After leaving prison on parole, Toro witnesses how his former patron once threatened to kill his bad brother, everything would be nothing with this brother, if not for his young daughter, who certainly does not deserve to be a complete orphan. Spanish crime film "Toro" may well claim the status of a local hit, with all the advantages of the Spanish film industry, they became famous for not exactly militants.
But "Toro" has several protracted, in the style of "Oldboy" or "Hostages" scenes of hand-to-hand combat, which should be admittedly shot quite well. More famous on the world stage Luis Tosar gave the lead to the local star from Galicia Mario Casas, which looks very convincing. The film could be deployed in a larger criminal saga, but the story runs somehow quickly, without much emphasis on secondary characters, and they, I think, deserved attention.
"Toro" - one of the few in my memory of Spanish militants, which, although not up to the example of the French, but definitely does not fall face in the mud.
