Pros: plot. Yes, it is very interesting to watch all these scandals, intrigues, investigations. Politics is politics, in any country and at all times. Who will be president? What other trump cards do those in power have and which of them is really a puppet? That’s all I have, and that’s all.
Kim Jae-ha is a prince on a white horse, Superman in real life. It was nice to look at him from the outside. Well, the truth is, a handsome boy, immortal, strong, skillful and jungle name is his. But the character of the character causes questions: on his mind, he doubts everything, he does not tell anyone anything, to whom he is loyal - it is also not clear.
Anna, stuck at the age of a 9-year-old girl, why would he? As Yu-jin said, "Another attack of sympathy." Anna is Rania, who is still alive. It is necessary for Jae-ha to atone for the guilt and save at least someone, you need to look after someone and implement your fighting skills. Here you go, Anna, get it and sign it: a little, stupid girl who creates problems, waiting for that savior. What does love have to do with it? Not clear. They replaced one with the other.
And here's Yoo-jin, a great character. Revealed, with transformation, with character. She was the only one who trusted Ja-ha and didn't fail (probably). At least he gave her heart and soul emotions she hadn't felt in years. The chemistry between the two is deep and special. Yoo-jin and Je-ha knew everything about each other, cared and helped, trusted unconditionally, understood each other half-heartedly. You could have told her that they were friends.
In general, the drama is not bad, you can watch, but without high expectations.
Politicians, a little too much for me. A lot of beautifully shot scenes fights, etc. From episode 14, prepare for the hassle. And the actor, of course, my love. The second film, to sit down to pick up drool : Couple awesome)))) (cute cute) Only 16 episodes...I was expecting at least 20. :
The tale of an evil stepmother, an orphaned princess from the tower and her faithful knight
Let’s say right away that you can call this drama a political thriller with such a huge stretch that there is nothing to start stretching. I’d rather call the series a kind of action movie for girls & #39, who grew up on fairy tales about Cinderella and Snow White. Don’t try to be realistic, just relax and enjoy what you see. Personally, I did and did not regret a single minute spent watching.
Honestly, if 90% of screen time was occupied by fights, in which the main character Kim Jae-ha (Ji Chang-uk) always wins, I would watch the drama with pleasure. If this is not your first experience of watching South Korean TV series, this idealization of the main character is unlikely to surprise you. Although, I must admit, K2 is really more Superman than human: fights like a superhero, does not die, no matter how much he is beaten, caring like his own mother, guessing like a friend who has known you since childhood. Oh, he's also divinely beautiful. Perhaps it will be a fat cons for someone, but not for me. After all, if I want to see something more realistic, I can always go outside and look around. In general, Ji Chang-uk is so good at all these fights, which look more like an art form, that I still do not understand why he has been avoiding such projects for so many years. Maybe I just don't know something. For me, this is the best series of the actor, after which you start to be interested in everything, read his biography, look for other projects, watch behind-the-scenes shooting.
Who was the lucky girl who stole the heart of such a hero? If you look at him as a fairytale knight, it is logical that his love, as in many fairy tales, is aimed at a poor orphaned princess. To confess, after reading numerous reviews, I formed an idea of Go An-na (Im Yun-a) as a piece of furniture, which from time to time is moved around the frame by other characters. In a way, this happens periodically. However, the situation was not so sad. After all, what “#39; stoolwoman” & #39 can constantly escape from the pile of guards? Or will he have the courage to stand up to the one who has already eaten more than one dog in all sorts of atrocities & #39; (something ambiguously sounded, well, come on)? Yes, her struggle sometimes looks very naive, well, she has little experience. As for the love line between the characters, I got even more than I expected. This is not the first drama I have seen. And after the series, where the series like the 10th hero carefully touches the hand of the heroine, and she only shyly blushes, in K2 everything is very even ' adult'. Our An-na does not even make the typical drama round eyes when kissed for the first time. And secondly, it would be strange to expect a great passion from this couple, when the girl has been locked up for so many years since she was a child. It is unlikely that the monastery was spinning cable with romantic TV series, or there was a library with romance novels. Not to mention meetings with ' live' men. And Agent K2 didn't have time for such nonsense. With his work as a mercenary, there was no need to count on anything more serious than fleeting casual connections. Even that first love, the excerpts of which we were shown, did not involve any special dates and kisses under the moon. So in matters of love, he is also a fool.
And all would have been well for these two if not for the evil stepmother Choi Yoo-jin (Sun Yu-na), although no, lie, even without her, the heroes of the problems would have been above the roof (' thank you' a bunch of corrupt politicians and corrupt businessmen). It’s just this female character, in contrast to the standard masculine, catches and causes a desire to understand the reasons for how she came to such a life. It would be easier to hate and curse her if Yu-jin had no emotions and desires other than power and money. But this woman knows not only to hate, but also to love. But she does not know how to choose men at all. First she comes across a husband who, on the one hand, ruins her life, and, on the other hand, pushes her to choose between good and evil in favor of the latter. And then, years later, Ms. Choi cannot keep her heart silent when she meets Kim Jae-ha. And that becomes her weakness and her fatal mistake. Although, if you remember how perfect he was, chances of resistance she still had.
Essentially, the main events revolve around these three, everything else, for me personally, was just the entourage to help uncover these images. Even the father of the main character Jang Se-jun (Cho Son-ha), despite his ambitions, looked like Cinderella’s father, unable to influence events in any way. But it suited me perfectly. In dramas, female characters are so often muted to make the male ones shine brighter, which is sometimes even annoying. Perhaps that is why I was pleased with the image of Ms. Choi’s secretary, Chief Kim (Shin Dong-mi). Yes, she is cruel and ruthless, but she is loyal and reliable.
Summing up, once again I want to remind you that this drama is more fantasy than a realistic action movie. And if you start watching it with this attitude, you will get real pleasure.
Running to the smell of barbecue, and it turned out - the donkey is branded
This Persian proverb about me: I thought it was a fascinating political thriller, but it turned out to be a soap opera with a twist on the action movies of the 90s. The schemes developed back then are still in use: here you and lying politicians in alliance with the oligarchs, and villains with unhealthy laughter, and the classic reason for revenge is the innocently murdered oriental bride of the protagonist. The hero himself is a verbose fighter with a beautiful physique and appearance, falsely accused of a serious crime while serving in Iraq. He is so cool that his enemies bounce in different directions and fall without feeling. In short, stamps worn to the creak on the teeth, there is plenty. However, they come at a speed of 160 km / h, so there is not enough time for analysis during the viewing process.
The story builds on the same jitters of yesterday. After special forces fighter Kim Jae-ha (Chi Chang-uk) is accused of a crime he did not commit, he is forced to flee. His way from Iraq to South Korea for some reason lies through Spain (let’s take the hero at his word that he pretended to be a refugee and was able to make this ornate path without documents). In Barcelona, he unexpectedly stumbles upon a Korean woman trying to escape the police. Characteristically, Anna (the actress’s name is Yuna) runs through crowded streets in the night and barefoot (just what you should not do if you try to go unnoticed). Jae-ha would be happy to help a poor girl, but the heel is burning.
Already in Seoul, Jae-ha unwittingly witnesses the inappropriate behavior of Congressman Jang Se-jung (Cho Seong-ha), whose wife is the imperious and purposeful businesswoman Choi Yu-jin (Song Yun-a). The latter will stop at nothing to win the presidential race for her husband, so without hesitation, she orders Jae-ha to be tracked down and killed, as well as everyone around him. Naturally, Jae-ha reacts to such measures extremely negatively. Having scattered all the guards, he goes to Yu-jin to personally express his displeasure to her. At the same time, he learns that the same Anna from Barcelona is the illegitimate daughter of Congressman Chan, and Eugene is her evil stepmother. Unexpectedly, Jae-ha gets a job in a snake's nest and is codenamed K2.
I have to say that thanks in large part to a character like Choi Yoo-jin and the actress who played her, this sourdough doesn’t look as flat as it sounds. It is not so easy to call a villain the heroine who causes the greatest interest and empathy to herself. She is not an insensitive robot, but a woman from a powerful family who does not refuse to fight for her position and property. While most heroes walk in a straight line like pawns, she is the only one who can make a move with a horse. K2 is inferior to her, he is in the position of an elephant on the chessboard - he can not jump over others, but strikes in all directions. The relationship between these two characters is very ambiguous, they are both strong opponents who gradually turn into allies. The two could potentially form a very intriguing couple, even without an obvious love line. There are several episodes in the series that hint at this possibility. And although periodically K2 portrays hatred of Yu-jin, it looks, to put it mildly, implausible.
Speaking of the love line, it generally seems superfluous in this series. The character of Anna looks terribly underdeveloped and faded, and the actress does not contribute to a better perception. In short, Cinderella loses to her stepmother on all fronts. Psychologically traumatized and forgotten by everyone, she was locked up for more than ten years. At some point, Anna presses the “Do well” button and turns from a sullen recluse into a fully adequate person. The poor girl has a lot to regret, but it is extremely difficult to know when and how K2 falls in love with her. Sometimes it is difficult to get rid of the idea that he does not love, but just pity the orphan. I saw how she could not prepare the ramen, penetrated, and decided to save her from the scoundrels around her.
Alas, although in some places the series resembled successful seasons ' House of Cards', at the end, all political intrigue collapsed with a crash, stating the fact that it was only a screen for melodrama. The latter could not reach ' Bodyguard' so the bummer turned out to be double. I'm sure if the series had delved more into politics than romance, the effect would have been many times better. In addition, I will note that despite the clichés mentioned earlier, “K2” is made qualitatively: fights and chases are spectacular, the plot is tense and intriguing, the villains are not cardboard, the finale is unpredictable, absurdities are not striking. Song Yun-a breaks stormy applause, and Chi Chang-uk in the most favorable for himself role shines so that blinds.
6.5 out of 10
I've been delaying watching this drama. The reviews are mostly negative, and even my beloved Chan Wook didn't inspire her to watch. And then one night in February, I took a chance and I didn’t regret it! Yes, I can not call this drama a masterpiece, and it became interesting to watch only from 2-3 episodes, but then the plot became clear and I could not break away from it!
Chan Wook is delightful here: beautiful, dynamic, sporty and courageous. At first we see an ordinary mercenary, but after a meeting with his beloved Anna, he opens up and looks at him dearly.
Many people criticize Yuna, who played Anna. I liked her. The character is in its place, without her, there would be no character that K2 has become. She is his inspiration, his life, his freedom and his love. The actress has an unusual beauty, according to Korean canons, she is the first beauty in the whole country, although this may not be clear to the Russian audience. I first saw Yuna in The King's Love, and I liked her incredibly, so maybe I was friendly to her in K2. I think she did the job, even though the role was very strange.
The main villains, there are many. Oh, how charismatic! The most evil villains, you believe them and are really afraid of them. They are politicians and mercenaries who do not care. They have their own game, and it’s very serious.
Very hooked the character of the stepmother, Eugene - both for her beauty and acting. Every time the actress appeared in the frame, I involuntarily admired her well-groomed skin and flawless facial features. She played amazingly, as did all the other characters in the drama. Like a villain, but with his unhappy fate and trampled feelings.
The end of the drama is a masterpiece, the last series flew on one note and kept in suspense until the last minute, leaving a slight regret that it was over. I will review it and recommend it to everyone!
The series is wilted as a political thriller turned out to be either a Latin American soap opera, or a poor interpretation of the fairy tale about Snow White.
In the center of events is a family of rich and famous. Her husband is a presidential candidate and her wife is one of the richest women in the country. They have skeletons in their closet. The husband had a baby from one of his mistresses. The mistress died for unknown reasons, and the wife sent her daughter to a monastery in Spain.
The main character is officially considered "Kim Jaha" - a former special forces officer, later - a bodyguard K2. The guy is brave, not stupid, handsome. And he fights just amazingly.
Like the main character Anna - the daughter of a presidential candidate, the victim of her stepmother.
Stepmother is a gorgeous villain, played by a beautiful actress.
The beginning of the series was great. There was a political thriller and it was. It was exactly until the writers decided to rewrite the script and give more time to the yurodious Anna. The script became oblique and began to be full of blunders and illogicalities. And when they decided to cram “love” K2 and Anna, it already became a rape of the series in a tough form. I wanted to spit from the romance sucked out of my finger and Anna began to make me feel the same as her stepmother – the desire to get rid of this girl as soon as possible. If Anna was hit by a bus in 8, most of the audience would say thank you. Unfortunately, the writer was not happy.
Series 6 began to slide from politics to family disputes. The role of K2 was reduced to loving views on Anna and fights. We were told everything about the rich family, but we never learned anything about the main character, after whom the series was named. Who is this guy? Where did he get such outstanding combat skills? Who are his parents? What happened in Barcelona? There are many other questions that the writer has not answered.
It's a pity, but the series had every chance to become a masterpiece.
“And so it will come down,” said Vovka. The Korean writer listened to Vovka.
If you are going to watch this series, then do not read the abstract, because the annotation does not correspond to the real circumstances of the series. Lame on both legs storyline, cardboard characters and wounded motivation of the characters.
Plot. The storyline was to be built around the main character Kim Jae Ha, and the first series was still about him. But soon this character was pushed to the extras, forcing him to wave his arms and legs, and no more function and load for the plot he did not carry. His line was brazenly degraded. The name of the series “K2”, in the first series explains that this is the call sign of the main character, why K2 is not explained, just K2, because the writer wanted it.
Plot lines. They're not connected. There is a woman who is not clear whether she is taking revenge or defending herself - the writer has not decided on her role in the plot. There is a girl who brazenly poses as a victim, being the daughter of her father's mistress. And these two women are going to be sorting out the relationship throughout the show, and it's their story that will come to the fore at some point. And the story of the protagonist... It starts in Iraq and we know he's a mercenary, we know he's unfairly accused of a crime no! But, unfortunately, this line is not revealed, and he becomes not a wolf, but a court snail who performs what other heroes need. He wants revenge and reveal the truth, but other people commit revenge, and he reveals the truth only with his words, not with a storyline.
Political intrigue. All politics is in clarifying the personal relationships of the heroes. About politics itself casually in the first series, or rather about the electoral system.
Heroes/Actors. Kim Jae Ha is the main character who has not been revealed. He was left without clan or tribe. It has no past, present or future. He's just a cardboard thing that fights well and supposedly calculates a few steps ahead. He gets shot, but he survives. Somehow, wanted by Interpol, he manages to come home from Spain. Whether Interpol is stupid, according to the screenwriter, or the screenwriter was completely lazy to describe this moment. Kim Jae Ha is not allowed to deal with his past lover, she is simply forgotten and instead of her, he is shoved another. And what a fright he suddenly forgets the past, and bows before the new does not explain. Just a man of radiance in the affairs of amorous.
The hero has PTSD, which is expressed in the fact that he cannot shoot a gun. But for some reason, periodically the main character with all his heart shuffled in all directions of the world.
The actor, even though the script is frankly disgusting, is laid out in full, and proves that he is an actor and will play until the end. And it's a shame for the actor to get into such a disgusting thing. The actor is talented, and he could paint his character, he could present him, but what he was given is scant, and just mocking the writer over the actor. As if the writer was not happy with the actor and did everything to spoil the main character and push him to the backyard.
Anna. Why is this character in this storyline? Because that character is annoying. Absolutely stupid and counterintuitive. This character is constantly interfering in the story. And even a love line with this character can not be prescribed. This character is portrayed as infinitely stupid and infinitely mentally ill, but always going across her existence and living somewhere in her reality. And every time you get to the storyline with Anna, you ask the question: “Are we still watching K2 or have we switched to another series?”
Romantic line. One gets the impression that they tried to lick her from “Hiller”, but failed.
Actress. When she is not enough, you do not notice her weak play. When it gets a lot, you wonder. Because you start to realize how many bad actresses in South Korea get into TV shows and movies just because of their beautiful faces. The actress did not try to save her character and play. At some moments she froze, at some moments she crooked, but always did not play.
Yu Jin. Initially, they try to show her negatively, and even compare her with the Evil Witch from the fairy tale about Snow White. But then she becomes the victim and perhaps the most important victim of the drama. It turns out that she is played negative, because the most miserable of all the characters. And this character is already better written, seeing in it the love of the writer. She was given the past, the present and the end. She was raised from an unhappy childhood, justifying her past actions. She was given the present where she tries to survive and use whatever she has. She was given a final. And yet, even this character managed to end up being ridiculous.
Actress. It is likely that the merit in the disclosure of the character of the actress herself, who perfectly presented her heroine, betraying both restrained, indecisive cruelty, and showing pain, and jealousy, and joy over small victories. At some point, it seems that the main character of this series is Yoo Jin.
The other characters are passing by and not at all memorable. They were there for something? Yes, for extras.
When Kim Jae Ha's storyline is intertwined with Yoo Jin and Anna's storyline thanks to unfamiliar old people (who have been forgotten and it is unknown whether they are still alive or have been solved), then you fall into a stupor. And that's the first stupor. The next stupor from the plot is that at first the main character wants to kill the “main villain”, but then he saves her. Why? Because it must be an orange. This noble gesture has never been revealed. When the main actor and the main actress can not schema and implement a romantic line, you already turn to the casting team with the question: “And what did you start from when choosing actors?” When the whole storyline is a complete mess and swinging legs, arms and head in different directions, and shootouts, I want to ask the writer: What did you write about? What did you want to convey to the audience? What is the meaning of this stupid thing?
Interestingly, the annotation stated that Kim Jae Ha was Yoo Jin’s bodyguard, but for some reason in the series, he guarded exclusively Anna. And again, the question to the screenwriter: “Would you really tolerate an employee who would not protect you, even though you are his employer and hired to protect yourself?”
This series doesn’t make any sense in the first place. Politics is undisclosed. Love is not revealed. Friendship is not revealed. Betrayal is unsolved. Loyalty is undisclosed.
I'm not thrilled, but I liked it! Ji Jang Wook is as good as ever. The fighting scenes are unmatched. And let it be a little fabulous. But the picture is spectacular.
I liked the mix of action, drama, politics and romance. Almost everything in moderation. But for me, the struggle for power was a little overdone.
A little annoying "mirror." Probably because you don’t fully understand what it is. 21st century, technology at a high level, but still ...
I disagree with the end. Even though evil must be punished, what happened is very cruel to me.
I thought the love line was not too bright, but very sweet, romantic, tender, fragile. That's right. And Ji Ha and Ahn Na really liked her.
In general, nothing new in the drama, but there is something special that you feel after watching it. Something warm and intimate.
It's not a drama that would make me postpone everything, nor one that I would watch a second time. It certainly deserves attention.
At least because of the main character Kay 2. Beautiful performance by actor Chang Wook! He's very comfortable with these images. On the one hand, it's a hitman, a machine that sweeps away everything in its path. And on the other hand, a surprisingly gentle, open, smiling person. In the end, it is impossible not to fall in love. Who is respected and feared by both friends and enemies. An amazingly charismatic personality.
I really liked Choi Yoo Jin's character. It was the first time I saw actress Seon Yun-a. I really liked her transformation. What a facial expression! You believe her in every situation.
Co-Anna is one of the main characters. I think it’s a bit of an “incomplete” character in this story. I didn't believe her. Unless at the beginning. And then... Although in the film she grew up, but somehow I can not say that she got used to the role well. It didn't work out naturally.
But Cho Son-Ha played perfectly! This is a secondary role.
As for the story, I did not see anything ordinary. I really liked the final scene, the last series was surprisingly well-designed. In the end, the film leaves a positive impression.
Somewhere there is a double impression of the drama. On the one hand, this is a tense political thriller about a dirty behind-the-scenes struggle for power with the main character, or rather the antiheroine Choi Yu Jin at the head.
On the other hand, this is a story about love for schoolchildren with two ridiculous characters K2 and Anna, whose amorphous personality fits perfectly into what is happening and takes place, but! Love love between her and the pseudo-mercenary K2 ruins the character of the latter and does not fit into the seriousness of the genre, as if the editor accidentally pasted pieces of film from another series. K2 is an amazing fruit. He was portrayed as a perfect killing machine, albeit with a slight breakdown, a mercenary from a private military office in the past, that is, a man with his hands up to his elbow in blood and all this as the main character. However, it turned out that he took this position on all legal grounds and all his actions, which seemed stupid, more or less explained. Then what was it all about? I have been humiliated and confused with this hero.
Had it not been for this love-carrot line and the dubious, up to the penultimate series, personality of K2, the series would have turned out brilliant. You can see that the production and shooting were invested seriously. The murder intrigue was kept until the end. Heroes, negative, interesting and holistic. Especially Choi Yoo Jin. Her personality is so bright, deep, strong and even tragic that it overshadows the opposition of good in the face of Anna. The actress played a woman who went down the path of vice, but it is hardly possible to call her the absolute embodiment of evil. If the writer wrote about the love of an adult woman and a young man, then in addition to the action thriller, we would have a psychological drama, its rudiments were already overlooked throughout the drama. But if the hero of Hurmuschka, that is, Ji Chan Wook, bypassed Anna and gave his feelings to Yu Jin, I think fans of young actors just exploded with indignation and the creators decided to go along the beaten path.
The drama, however, deserves attention, especially if you close your eyes to the romantic absurdities that were inserted to attract younger audiences. Have a good time.
Do not start watching K2 until your to-do list is minimized, otherwise you risk your sleep, well-being and appearance. Yes, even if you firmly decide to stay on one episode, the last frame will change everything to hell - and your eyes will be an order of magnitude more surprised than Chan Wook! And the series ends, as a rule, with stunned eyes Je Ha (Chi Chan Wook) at the moment of the highest point of tension.
From the top to the final, this tension does not subside. Supports him (except for the most intrigue and the incredible intensity of passions) believable drawing of characters, the viability of situations, honed dialogues. It would be a crime not to mention the accompanying music tracks. Starting from instrumental, their dynamics aggravating already turning situations, and ending with melodic vocals, emphasizing especially touching moments (painfully loved "Anemone" and "As If Time Has Stopped" Park Kwang Sun). The composers worked with musical images interestingly, many track titles take us to a fairy tale: "Mirror, Mirror", "A Queen Of The Forest", "The Witch And The Girl" and others. Of course, you guessed what we were talking about. Yes, the motives repeating the long-suffering story about Snow White and the dwarves and in the frame itself was plenty: a mirror, an evil stepmother, a weak-willed father - so vividly they are woven into the plot and emphasize the characters.
Especially vividly illustrates this point is the image created by Son Yun A ( Choi Yu Jin), which simply does not cease to admire. Every grin, grin, grimace, every penetration of real feelings of pain, irritation, resentment of the mistress of the mirror through the mask of equanimity developed over the years will not leave anyone indifferent. You can say that this is the most multifaceted character of K2. The first minutes of her appearance on the screen, you really think that virtue is in front of you! Rare force reincarnation managed to turn the actress! And the entire cast just pleases the eye, making you believe in your characters. Lim Yun A (Anna Go) is a charming angel, for just one performance of "Amazing Grace" in the church you can forgive the fading of her heroine. Chi Chan Wook (Kim Je Ha) is a winning role, even in the absence of interest in his character, everything would redeem the scene in the JSS bathroom, but, fortunately, this is not the only thing that the audience interest in him is alive. Playing grief-husband, grief-father and the same grief-politics Cho Son Ha (Chan Se Joon) also brought a handful of raisins to the drama. One bad guy is ready to admire forever - Lee John Jin ( Choi Soon Won), killing off the ground with one of his smiles.
It would have been quite possible to end there, but I was very offended by one moment. In one of the most heartbreaking moments, you just had to sew in a fast food ad, right? This just godlessly erased all the drama of the situation.
It is impossible to be happy that there is nothing more to talk about the bad."K2" - one of the few cases when the tension by the end not only does not subside, but jumps above all possible limits. The last two "ticking" series was the most intense event of the week. I do not want to contrive, bypassing spoilers, so that’s where I finish.
Kumao for attention!
