At first, it seems like a social drama. But then ... very strange things begin.
In fact, the plot and everything that happens here more like some magical fantasy anime, not a movie.
And subconsciously, even the viewer understands that the characters are partly what many children could fantasize about in childhood.
It's a fantasy world. It's dreaming about something. They are connected with something adult and serious. Child-adult film like It, Very Strange Things, Stay With Me, etc.
An ironic and tragic movie. It qualitatively plays on the fears of modern adults, on their fear for their children, on their fears because of all kinds of maniacs.
Well, at the heart of the movie sits firmly a love story, pure, childish, which half or a quarter will become an adult.
The rest is a matter of faith, belief in the supernatural. Something mystical, inexplicable by natural causes, in a rational way, extraordinary and unimaginable is happening. And it's impossible to believe just like that. We often believe in the supernatural, like watching Supernatural. But will we believe that this really happens in real life if our neighbor tells us this... or will we think of him as a fool?
Uh-hmm. Only a fool like that would believe a fool. Good thing the world isn't without fools.
There was a time in my life when I watched all the movies with Kang Dong Won. He is a very charismatic and, what to hide, attractive Korean actor. And, perhaps, this film with such a long and ugly title made the most impression on me. Even one of his works, the high-budget action movie “Master”, of the same year of release with a simply stunning cast will not be able to surpass this masterpiece. At the same time, all that the creators needed was two children (albeit one of them is enclosed in the body of an adult) and an unusual concept of time.
There are a lot of movies about time travel, and even some that talk about possible negative consequences. But this particular one is not focusing on the global future, but on the fate of one little person, and that's rewarding. And helps the viewer to create a deeper emotional connection with the main character. You can’t help but empathize with a young boy who has paid for his curiosity for decades and misunderstanding of others. I was heartbroken by the way he spent years in a completely frozen world, only to face the suspicions of others. Still, his close friend remained a 13-year-old, and it is clear how it looks from the outside.
But without that, there would be no drama for which I loved this movie. Special thanks should be said, of course, Shin Eun-soo, who played the girlfriend of the main character. A very talented young actress who was able to convey the complex emotions of a teenager misunderstood by others. Through the prism of fiction and detective stories, writers and directors showed the viewer how rarely adults listen to the words of children. And how tragic the consequences can be, it is better to see for yourself.
In general, I think that this film will be useful even for people who do not like Korean cinema. There is almost no inherent entourage, but it raises the difficult question of what we actually spend our time on? And this is done at the highest level and in a completely new interpretation.
I kept telling the truth, but nobody believed me. ?
The film begins as a typical, foreshadowing nothing, everyday life with a touch of romance. If you watched the trailer on Kinopoisk.HD, then it shows that the guys are generally having fun. I've been bribed.
But all the fun comes to an end.
This film can be compared to the roller coaster.
At first, everything is sad, the girl’s mother dies and her stepfather raises her. In her depression, she tries to find her ' corner ', where she can hide from everyone... but then she meets a boy and the story goes more and more joyful.
Romance, teenage love.
And then it gets tough. Children go missing, chaos in the real world with their search and the search for the perpetrators.
In a world where time has stopped, children struggle to survive. But how long they will be there, no one knows. (See for yourself)
___
If you are an emotional person, then prepare for the fact that there will be many tears.
The film evokes feelings ranging from joy to frustration at injustice and the fact that no one believes children when they tell the truth, albeit the most unrealistic.
I feel sorry for the main character to the depths of my soul, he fell a heavy burden. He is very strong psychologically.
Not everyone can live in complete silence for a decade and not go crazy.
It’s a tough story and I’m glad that it ended up being fully told.
Every communication of the girl with adults, in an attempt to be understood, was like she was speaking in a complete vacuum and no one could hear her.
Adults only came up with their guesses and put their meanings on the most fully described story of the girl.
I wanted to climb the wall because of this injustice.
It’s a shame for the boy’s lost time.

Very confusing movie, great game and special effects. But it's not about them, it's about the tragedy, which is who, and the Koreans know how to film. It’s the first time I’ve seen a Korean movie without a luscious lead actor, it’s kind of cute, but it’s not sweet as usual. I believed every word and action of the main characters.
Recently, schoolgirl Su-rin lost her mother and was forced to move with her stepfather to the island. Although it is difficult for a teenager to join a new team, she manages to get a friend Son-min from a local shelter. The children spend a lot of time together and gradually get closer, until one day they stumble into a cave with a mysterious egg that, according to legend, can stop time. . .
Many as children imagined what they would do if they could stop time. The South Korean film plays these fantasies, but does not do it in the style of children's moral tales. Since the beginning of the magic, children get into an amazing reality, but the fun turns into a real drama, where a frightening and cruel new world becomes a place literally unbearable. However, at the heart of the story still remains a children's love story, which simply happens during fantastic events. To say that the plot is unusual is to say nothing. The script describes a story full of sadness and regret, and time acts as the main antagonist, ready to share loving hearts. The confrontation of frightened children and the world of adults who are not ready to accept supernatural events leads to the main conflict, whose development by all canons leads to a tragic outcome.
The film is replete with unexpected twists and interesting details, generously scattered throughout the narrative. Summer juicy picture does not cease to please the eye, starting with the simple work of the operator, ending with excellent special effects of stopping time. The actor’s ensemble sometimes sincerely surprises with its impressive capabilities – there is not a single person here who has scalted at least a little. The central heroine performed by the young Shin Eun-soo, who managed to convey a whole palette of all kinds of feelings and make it as realistic as possible, stands out.
“Gone Time” begins as if it has absolutely nothing to offer and nothing original to expect, but as a result, the narrative twists into such a fascinating story that it is impossible to break away from it until the final credits. A great film that is not ashamed to advise even those who are far from the cinema of South Korea.

Having yielded to the persuasion of a friend, the boys reluctantly accepted a girl into their team, Song-min and Su-rin became friends, who were suddenly interesting to each other, exchanging their secrets in anticipation of growing up, afraid to imagine what they will become and what will become of them in five or ten years, without even knowing what will happen in an hour.
Supernatural or extraterrestrial - time has frozen in the fracture of space, not stopping for those who were forcibly carried away by a mysterious artifact, breaking a barely formed connection and tragically turning the life of a small village shaken by the disappearance of children.
The police are searching, the parents are in mourning, and at the same time Su-rin is a young man and confesses: “Hello, it's me...” – After a decade, Son-min returns to an abandoned friend, claiming that he is the one and no one else, becoming the main suspect for the ongoing investigation, turning into a hunt for a fugitive who wants and can not return home.
An unusual version, in general, of Shakespeare’s plot about the abyss of circumstances separating loving hearts that cannot escape the black circle of distrust of outsiders. Fantasticly unreal, inventively built, psychologically intoned watercolor story, ironically presents mysticism in the stories of a sad returnee, doomed to separation and eternal loneliness, taking them as a given, which only Su-rin knows.
Not the past time Su-rin and the past time Son-mina reminds us that it, time, not only heals, but also destroys, at the same time, talking about the pain of the lack of a common language between children and their parents, the lack of dialogue, in contrast to which – grammatically peculiar correspondence of time-divided friends, creating the same mutual trust that does not get the investigator, the logic of which does not accommodate this surprise.
From the first words, it seems that good things will not end here, and Son-min himself does not miss an opportunity to remind of the mortal danger of time that does not leave anyone alive, and the course of events is close to the fact that it will not leave anyone alive, but at the last moment, over the abyss, a sister of time appears - the hope that something will be ahead, perhaps, and will come, in ten years.
“Time gone. The Boy Who Came Back is a South Korean fantasy melodrama for all lovers of original plots. As always, Korean cinema never ceases to please us with quite interesting and truly exciting story ideas, after which there are unusual sensations and a long aftertaste. So this time, the new picture tells us about a little girl who, after the death of her mother and stepfather, moves to another city. Being completely alone in a foreign city, the young heroine still finds a real friend in the face of a carefree schoolboy. Walking and meeting in an abandoned house brings two single children together. But things soon change dramatically. During another walk, a friendly company finds a hidden cave in which they find an unusual egg. According to an old legend, the man who broke it becomes the victim of a terrible monster that devours time. By chance, the girl comes out of the cave last, but no longer finds friends around her. Local police rush to search for children, but all attempts are in vain. But one day an adult approaches the girl and admits that he is the same friend who gave her an oath of loyalty. Realizing the truthfulness of the legend, the friends are trying to tell everyone the truth, but are under the yoke of adult distrust, as people and the police are sure that the thirty-year-old tramp is actually a maniac-killer of young children who invented a story about a monster and fooled the girls brains to get close to her and then kill her.
Immediately I want to note that in the film a lot of shed tears and heartbreaking drama, adult cruelty and naive childhood. The first half of the film is more like a romantic tale about the first love of two teenagers, but then the story turns into a dramatic thriller with all the ensuing consequences. A rather controversial ending will leave many perplexed and make you ask various questions, but in general, the whole story looks quite impressive and rich. The timing of the film is a little more than two hours, but it is, to be honest, almost invisible. There is no need to be bored, as it is very interesting to see everything happening. I would definitely recommend it to all Asian film fans. Enjoy your visit.
13-year-old Su-rin and his stepfather move to live on the island. The girl's mother died, and the relationship with the new dad is not glued. With classmates, too, to find a common language, she meets the boy Son-min, with whom she is fun and interesting. One day, Su-rin begs the company of his friends to go together to watch the explosive work in the mine, and in the forest the guys discover a mysterious cave.
Sad movie. Very sorry for the girl, she was left essentially alone, with her stepfather she can not find a common language, which is a stranger to her. And along with this, she moves to a new place where it is difficult for her to find new friends, but even in this difficult time she manages to find a good friend. Shin Eun Soo - a sincere girl, outplayed many adults.
Kan Dong Won - Son Min, a very strong role. Here he laid out the maximum of his strength and emotions, showing the gradual maturation of a person, and the transformation from a carefree teenager into a person who can sacrifice himself for the sake of a loved one. With this role, Kang Dong Won proved that he can show any image, play the most difficult character.
It's a beautiful movie. Fantastic scenes are striking in scope, especially luxurious looks frozen sea and frozen drops of water in the air.
A touching film. It was hard to watch the scene at the beginning of the vanished time, when the children were alone with themselves, and when they lost their friend, it was very emotional.
They say that in the full moon in the forest there is a cave, and in the cave lies the egg of a magical monster. Whoever enters this cave and breaks an egg, that monster eats up time. The monster ate time and destroyed the fate of people, while at the same time testing them for strength and bringing them back together. The end is so sad that you want to cry despite the positive outcome. It is a must-see, as I consider the film one of the best about loyalty and true friendship.

Tale about the time gone Very unusual story. Plus it adds a peculiar style of narration inherent in Korean films. In general, the picture is a very pleasant aftertaste. The story is fantastic. I've never seen a story like this before. Make time warp so extraordinary. The legend of the coincidence of the necessary phase of the moon, the legacy of an unknown monster and a bunch of curious children is interesting for its unusualness, something warns and frightens, something attracts. So I want to check the legend - because there is no such thing really. The story is sad. The curiosity of the young (and not so much) is sometimes punished. Inexorable. Predictive accuracy. He who does not believe will drink the cup of knowledge. When you see the consequences, you feel sad. The mystery of events will excite society, trying to explain what happened by the rules of the light in which we live. And the more mysterious will sound the real story, which dedicated the viewer. The story is sadly romantic. The birth of first love is a fragile and so beautiful flower that, even watching from the sidelines, it is as if you are experiencing it again. Realizing that someone wants to protect and protect the other, imbued with empathy characters. And yet, sadness catches up. And from the unrealizability of unspoken hopes, and from the thought that one will certainly have to bear a huge burden of despair. Being a hermit is fun, but not for long. At first, it is fun to wander around in a new universe, to be glad that its days belong to you, everything is nearby, but no one knows about this secret. It’s great to have a friend with whom you can share such a gift while waiting for the spell to end. How about repeating that? When I waited, I realized the losses and negativity that fell on my head in my home world, and there is nothing left but to leave again, especially for the sake of saving the person you cherish. Disappear alone for another 30 years. This kind of movie is rare. I really liked it. Skillfully intertwined drama, melodrama and fiction. According to the degree of impact, I would prefer to watch it again instead of most unfinished horror films - although the genre is not declared, but goosebumps ran repeatedly, and without any screamers there. And the ending didn't disappoint. Original
First of all, I would like to say that I love and respect Korean cinema immensely, and I do not hide it at all. After all, it seems that the worldview of Koreans is very different from what people see in the rest of the world. Otherwise, from where so often appear so original and high-quality paintings, while other countries barely give out one masterpiece a year, or even remakes.
But sometimes...
Sometimes this worldview does not fit into the head of an ordinary viewer. What you might encounter here. I want to ask a lot of questions to the creators of this work. The main ones are:
What is the message of this film? What did the author want to tell us? For what, and for whom did he create this picture? What should we take away from her? What to think about? Where is this pleasant aftertaste, why are important issues of our lives not raised, and I only regret the time spent?
Okay. In order. I do not like to reveal the plot, so my eloquent speeches will sound abstract.
No, I’m not saying that the movie is terrible and not worth watching. I don't want my eyes to see him. No, no. I’m going to be neutral because I liked a lot.
In this film there are many plus - camera work, an excellent cast, which, despite all the nonsense, played this nonsense almost flawlessly. Beautiful music, again...
And the plot. That beautiful plot, which was smeared with a huge number of joints and inconsistencies - he is there, somewhere behind the fogs of unnaturalness and madness on the screen, crying, clamped by producers, in the corner.
And the obvious minuses are revealed in the same plot. If people decide to make fiction, but 50% of the film is mixed with a rather big reality, then the reality must be true.
And this raises a lot of questions about the plot: why did the only surviving girl come home right away and continue walking through the woods as if nothing had happened? Why didn't you call a psychologist? Why was everyone acting so weird? Where did logic go, and most importantly, the laws of physics? (although this part was shown in a fantastic world, you had to hold your hand to your face completely unconsciously...)
Why does reality appear in the form of fiction? That doesn't happen! Where is the harmony you expect from a film? Why is fiction worse than reality and reality worse than fiction?
