Super Blitz Interview American John Fauer, screenwriter, director, producer and, of course, the operator of this unique documentary project gathered for him a whole “crowd” of famous American cinematographers (almost a hundred, as they say in some synopses) to tell about how they found their calling, about their creative path and “professional features”. It turned out a real “master class” of masters, which will be interesting not only to advanced film fans, but also to students of film schools, and filmmakers themselves (the latter two categories must be watched!). The author of the picture faced a difficult task - how to show all this fascinatingly, widely, in detail and dynamically (we do not have to watch and listen to a lecture). But as they say, all genius is simple. Therefore, Fauer made the only right decision: to turn the film into a “slicing” of interviews of his colleagues, from “motives”, “beginnings” to “creative heights”. Looking at this “clip”, it is impossible to break away from the screen, although the video sequence is the same – “talking heads”.
I was curious. At the same time, as I expected, I and many of my famous colleagues from the film, the path to professional development was similar: acquaintance with art in general or some kind of art - from it the desire for cinema (", so that the picture, the photo could move) - mastering the basics (from rubbing tripods and washing floors in the studio to shooting news on TV). And then on. And then you can argue, learn and generally wind a lot. A very useful, useful film. Faueru - "Special Sanx" and respect!
