This would be a guy on the demolition of dilapidated housing in the Russian Federation The theme of turning man into a mutant is not new in cinema. So the Italian director Gabriel Mainetti decided to turn to mutants. The main character, having accumulated toxic waste in the river, and Russian-made, at first does not feel good. But a little later, the hero of the film “My Name is Robot Jig” Enzo Cescoti (Claudio Santamarino) with a hairstyle “a la poodle” begins to feel just five points! Now he has super powers.
He can open the iron door with his fist. Break off the heating battery and fold it with an accordion. I think such a frame will be very useful when demolishing dilapidated housing in Russia.
The film really turns the idea of Italy as a romantic place. In terms of cruelty, the film “My Name is Robot Jig” will not yield to the matering Hollywood horror films. What the film doesn’t take away — beyond its brutality — is its dynamism. It is inherent in all action. There are no semantic gags, the narrative is flowing like the Tiber River, in which our hero found his strength. At the same time, his power is disproportionate and at first he spends it like a fool. Not the case. Like crazy.
Seasoning in a good sense of the word adds the presence of a number of psychopaths in the plot. In real life, you don’t see them very often, and there are people who have never seen them. Perhaps that is why “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” or “Chamber No. 6” and a whole layer of cinema about serial killers are so attractive? The magic of cinema is that on the screen you can create charming types of different psychos.
How great thinks the friend of the protagonist Allesia - a girl with great emotional problems - in the hand of some handkerchief. She conveyed all this fussiness, tremors and agitation characteristic of real patients. Italian actress Ilenia Pastorelli managed this well, and she presented her image unexpectedly. And the main villain Lo Zingarro (Luca Marinelli) in his megalomania can become a model of the patient psychiatrist hospital.
The film “My Name is Robot Jig” looks in one breath and it is good with such unexpected notches on the fabric of the narrative. And a shot where a superhero screws his severed finger with tape and completely drove me into a soothing state: this film is also parody, sarcastic, and humorous! A couple of times the picture just caused real bouts of laughter. But to those who do not particularly like black humor, as well as children and sophisticated maids of honor, I would not recommend this thing to view.
If black humor does not appeal to every viewer, then the palette of characters, the wider the thing looks more interesting. The creators brought to the picture such a range of completely diverse characters - and each with their own principles (!) - that I involuntarily shook my head in delight. Here is the always silent thug with a beard, who suddenly gives a whole speech about tolerance and the struggle for high ideas. Mafiosi Antonio in an acid-colored jacket. Absolutely crazy, no - crazy transvestite and other similar bright characters.
This film impresses with a variety of colors. But he's also disgusting. On the other hand, he gives such a slight sadness and is even able to squeeze out a stingy male tear. It is difficult even to define the genre of the thing. The director of the film “My Name is Robot Jig” Gabriel Mainetti mixed so many genres in one Kazan that it is difficult for me to answer this question more specifically. Comedy and drama. Fighter and parody. Fantasy and Black Horror Movies. In general, this Italian film chef presented us with a very piquant thing on a silver platter.
In general, the film is made cool, although in style it does not fit into the Italian film niche. There is a lot of borrowing from Hollywood, even the plot is built on Hollywood patterns. Sometimes I see pure plagiarism. And yet the authors have created their own specific offspring.
However, I would not recommend the film “My Name is Robot Jig” for viewing by children, impressionable people, or refined ladies. There is no hint of moral highness or philosophical reflection. A crazy action of a fantastic kind. Sometimes disgusting black. But at the same time, amazing theater with amazing characters.
