“Standing on the asphalt, I'm wearing ski shoes. Whether skiing does not go, or ...” (c) After watching many titles, I can’t say that this anime is a masterpiece of masterpieces, but at the same time there is something about it. . .
Picture, for example. In 'Visions of Escaflon' the animation is not just stylish, but also dynamic. There are traditional static dialogues for anime, but they are always (this is really always, I emphasize) shown with the appropriate drawn back and normal timing without a slideshow under a boring monologue. The fights of giant escaplon robots are generally pulp: they are beautiful, they are spectacular, they always have an emotional weight and cause, do not have a bunch of screams with super tricks that all sorts of cunning people from manga in anime love to drag.
About how I was given the drawing of hair, butts and emotions, I could crucify for hours, but I will say briefly: I advise you to watch in normal quality, and then you can simply take screenshots of each series (especially in comparison with the cloud of modern titles, ' Vision Escaflon' is what animation in the anime should be).
There are interesting topics in the anime. How one’s own desires, born of fear, destroy people, the theme of war is revealed, the topic of aggression and how cruel and senseless it is to kill for peace & #39; the topic of accidental human sacrifices in battles & #39; Titans & #39; raised simply chic, the themes of self-sacrifice, inevitability and variability of the world around are well revealed. There is also a full-fledged development of heroes - they pass through the arches of characters and are quite dynamic.
Speaking of dynamics.
It's there. The story, the characters, the story, the world. Everything there is changing, the background is revealed. The series is only 26, but in my opinion, they were enough for everything, the story is complete, it is built logically inside itself and is based on the laws of the world of the animech itself. Everything looks easy together. A rather sticky and very atmospheric thing, a pleasant color, the characters are quite lively, albeit not 146% credible - after all, they feel an echo of a character from the era of cultural romanticism: heroes against the whole world and themselves. Well, it's also fascinating in its own way.
But enough about the pluses, let's talk about the minuses!
Of the disadvantages, I can say:
1) On purpose.
Romanticism is in the ideas, and I do not consider it a minus, but the pitch is lame. That is, only Hitomi (the main character, one of them) speaks ideas and messages in the forehead - and although it is in her character, and with the course of the plot this becomes less, more often they allow the viewer to reach the idea independently, but sometimes intentionality arises and destroys the atmosphere with morality, which the picture has already shown - deliberateness sucks over the already shown. That’s a lot more to my subjective view.
2) The logic of science.
Sometimes she's gone. Just not. That is, at one point we have energospheres of dragons, charging huge combat robots, Uber bombs of them and all sorts of ancient crayons, on which a piece of the logic of the world is built (and this is fine), but at another - ' luck' in blood, bringing in lovers of schoolchildren with the entire headquarters of the villain (* here could be a joke about House 2, but I still have self-respect*) and a character-spoiler who changes sex simply because ' evil science' It remains only to understand, forgive and let go.
(3) Psychology is not respected.
And it was the romance that was not loved. Friendship was shown well, the arches of the characters are, and they are excellent, but the romance should be left to the fikreiters. Just because if the villainous side and a couple of episodes everything is clear and clear, but emotionally, then Hitomi throwing between Wang and Allen is too easily resolved. And #39: Oh, so you love someone else and I promised to kill anyone in my way who would interfere with us? You really love him? Well, ok' After getting acquainted with the not at all simple characters of the characters, this is a solution to the conflict, of course, noble and friendship-gum (somewhat even fits with the arches of the heroes: ' forgiveness' and ' self-knowledge'), but... Really? And the secondary heroes have the same rake on the forehead. The seeds for the beginning of romantic lines are good, but as the characters get closer, the grinding of the characters and the story arc becomes unclear, and why in the end this crooked drama at the polygon (and he is there really ' many-') was not disclosed?
(4) There was a little lack of gloom.
Personally, I think it could be a real grimdark fantasy with blood-gut-scraping, but here it is portioned. Not a minus, but not a plus. If the world were played as a dark fantasy, and not in the style of adventure fantasy, then we could get with equal probability either a beautiful shade of hopelessness of the world on the edge, or an eerie overload with cardboard pathos from any Shoen to choose from.
(5) And naked torso men personally embarrassed me.
Just as a fact. Probably more about me than about anime.
Summing up what I want to say. The anime is worthwhile, the plot is interesting, the picture is beautiful, everyone should look with at least one eye. Fans of fantasy / fellas / robots / cat girls I recommend to watch from the bottom of my heart.
And you know what else?
Whether you watch or not, and with all the pros and cons 'Escaflon' still ten goals better than RPG-catch with stats and the System.
