A few moments that separate day from night... and good actors from bad movies. The last role of Lyudmila Markovna Gurchenko. In this film, she also acted as the second director. No one argues, Gurchenko is a great actress, but “Twilight” is one of the worst films with her. Partly autobiographical, it is good only for loyal fans of the actress, who at the right moments will let a tear, remembering such a wonderful and talented woman. What else can be found here besides a melancholy memory filled with musical inserts?
The main character in her later years meets a long-time friend - a blind musician, who as a child struck her hearing. The young man changes something in her by his appearance, makes him rethink the suddenly returned past, look into the eyes of his lost fears and learn to forgive, love, live. Slow scenes, notes played on the piano, the general atmosphere of the picture, so similar to farewell. Do you agree that the necessary components are present?
And the actors did not fail, they tried very well. But something prevents you from evaluating “Twilight” high. With all the efforts of Gurchenko, Shirvindt, Ilyin, Kubasova and others. As if the potentially tearful plot was made some soulless, predictable, tortured. Not interesting. Not exciting.
It’s a very personal film, it’s not for a general audience. I did not love him, did not touch (although there were some weak urges), did not fall into the soul, did not hook ... nothing. Sorry to admit, it could have been completely different.
