The Flash destroyed the DC Cinematic Universe. In every way. But this is not the worst film - it is funny and at the same time dramatic, sometimes bad taste, and sometimes shows a high epic. The Flash was a controversial product in all respects, but the totality of the experience seems to me much more weighty than the average fresh superhero. Therefore, I find the fate of the painting unfair, but symbolic.
The DC Cinematic Universe didn’t work from the start, and the films under this brand failed to strike a balance between dramatic pathos and easy entertainment – a format that Marvel successfully instilled, by the way, also started with more conceptual and textured canvases, such as The Hulk with Edward Norton.
What about the Flash? The Flash is perhaps the closest to such a compromise. It’s not the majestic, gloomy Man of Steel, but not the mockingly cretinous Suicide Squad, but something in between. Largely due to the chosen story, simple and understandable - about the loss of a loved one, the inability to correct this tragedy and reflection on how it could have been avoided. And it works, although Ezra Miller is not the most expressive actor (and, as it turns out, not the most pleasant person, but it does not matter much in the world of movie magic).
Everything else in the film is largely controversial, from the logic of the world to the action scenes, but it is mediated in relation to the plot itself, its adventure and ethical context. Finally, a superhero is again a man on whose shoulders are given trials that cannot be overcome by super strength and willful eyes alone. A person who has to make difficult decisions and make sacrifices, even if the finale turned out to be blurred and deliberately optimistic.
That’s why I think The Flash is a fantastic story that could have been told and shown a lot better, but the result is pretty liquid. The audience’s rejection of this plot looks so strange that conceptually it is not much different from the much more popular Spider-Man: No Way Home, touching the same paths – that the violation of the integrity of time-space, that the meeting with your counterpart from a parallel branch of reality, that the notorious desire to help everyone and save everyone, is in a sense selfish and does not stand up to collision with reality. Even the concept of fate in the films is similar – that Peter Parker is doomed to suffer in all its variations, that DC heroes must go through their hardships to become who they are.
However, it is better not to think about how the temporal paradoxes in The Flash are arranged and how one can of tomatoes was able to influence the fact that Bruce Wayne is a physically different person, and about the vicissitudes of Kryptonian sons is not even worth talking about. Although this is still an even more sophisticated way to start a multiverse adventure than to pull out from behind the screen a magical man who will arrange everything.
There is no plagiarism and borrowing between the films – they are as different as they are similar, and Flashpoint, the comic on which The Flash is based, came out much earlier.
And, by the way, I have been waiting for Michael Keaton in a cameo of Batman since ancient times – since his film Birdman, where Keaton’s career as a dramatic actor, weighed down by roles in pop fiction, was played out. Of course, it was great to see him again in the role of Batman, especially since he was given a significant role in the plot, that’s just Keaton’s mask is no longer fitting, and in his hero, before majestic and unhurried, little remains of himself. And this bulletproof cloak embarrassed me very much.
As for the special effects and the look of the film, they range from “tolerable” to “excellent” – how impressive the opening scene with the hero running across the country looks, just as ridiculous and shameful looks the scene of saving children from a collapsed house. In general, the film is full of effects, most of which are quite qualitative and do not cause rejection in the eyes – which I can not say about previous films under a DC license.
And finally, humor. I’m a little embarrassed to admit it, but this movie made me laugh. If DC in the field of cinema has succeeded in anything, it is in the presentation of its characters by people of different types and characters, and not just oak archetypes shooting spinless jokes. The humor in The Flash is based on the comedy of positions and some deviations of the protagonist himself. And let the scene with the closet, breaking from the volume of garbage stuffed into it, it is trivial and beaten, but we implement this gag in the film amusing.
What's the result? The Flash escaped into the past and canceled the characters of Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, and with them the entire movie universe, which painfully kept on its feet for so many years, and the criticism of the film itself scores the final nail in the coffin of this martyr procession. And it’s a shame, because I love some of these movies with a strange love that borders on bewilderment, and I still try to see Batman v Superman as metacommentary and epic on a qualitatively different level than just a ragged plot. Well, "The Flash" is a movie that is not shameful to watch, in which you can find new motives and emotions despite the already annoying genre. Relying on the intentions of the film itself, the failure of the DC universe in cinema is more fate than a deserved outcome.
"Barrina Mother" or a whiplashy response by Toby and Andrew!
.. While all the white light haws the long-awaited "Flash" what the light is worth, the box office unpleasantly shocks even the producers of the fourth "Expendables", and the honest viewer has already forgotten that there was such a loud premiere of a high-profile project from a loud Universe of loud genre ... I will probably be the “only Mohican” who not only does not spill dirt on this tape (except for the ugly face masks of Zod and Barry), but also will praise this film in every way!!
... Paint! The palette (like Instagram) that was taken as a basis is very similar to the one in “Man of Steel”. And these inflorescences are visually very cool, juicy, bright, but not sharp, but delicious!
2 hours 24 - any expensive modern film project can turn this time into a real torture for the viewer - but not this time! A story that has absorbed not just comics, adventures, fiction, comedy and even drama, as well as a bunch of Super CAMEOs and guest stars, which you will not see in the credits and posters - does not give you the right to look at the clock for a second, pause or a couple of times yawn... For the first time!!! for a long time I watched an adventure film from beginning to end and really got high! .
..Kayfan also from the plot! The plot and the story, which probably pass through the dubious scientific truth, but ALSO fascinate and fascinate! And this despite the fact that, in fact, the story is secondary (hello to Marvel) – just presented from the other side and in a different way.
No need to sly - this is another answer to the more successful and profitable Marvel, who confidently sets (or rather set...) the tone, and DC only has time to throw answers, and, as we see, sloppy answers ... But not this time!! After missing a series of successful enemy strikes, DC-shniks enlisting the support of a powerful Muschetti from the super-successful thriller "It" this film weighs such an uppercut "red" that they simply must be at least in an intermediate knockdown!!
And yes, this is a response to Spider-Man: There is no way home! Definitely!!
.. With the only difference that there is no moronic plot level: "I don't like my fame, let's risk the fate of the world so that I'm not famous!" There are no such huge profits as the product, and unreasonably inflated rating! There are also no more invited stars than the main character, going into the shadows and, in fact, no one needs, except his devoted fans! And if the stars come, they decorate the film, not pull the blanket over themselves! And their appearance is deliberate, interesting, suddenly, intriguing and logical!
This film is a combination of several genres that Muschetti managed to put together exactly in the proportion that is necessary for a cool film, and the drama that permeates the entire film is a mountain more believable and soulful than the drama of fantastic Jack and Rose from Titanic invented by Cameron’s marketing brain – the Flash drama breaks even into tears and believes in it!
"The Flash" - not only a successful combination of different genres, but also a competent arrangement of fighting game, chase, tricks, dialogues, drama, intrigue, cameo, special effects, comedy, nostalgia ...!
This is just a very cool interesting movie, unreservedly submitted to oblivion and despised by everyone in a row!
And finally...
As much as I like Toby with his trilogy, which is ready to review tirelessly for 20 years. As much as I don’t like special effects and Andrew’s play in his dilogy.
... But!
Full role of Michael Keaton, unannounced cameos (bend your fingers!) Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, Jason Mamoa, Jeremy Irons and even George fucking, Clooney!! With references to Supermen of the XX century of different years and a possible variation on the theme Nicholas "Genius" Cage!!! Cage, with whom the film did not come out, but the fans of the Universe know perfectly well that this was supposed to happen! .
With all respect and love, well, what faded in the success of the career of Toby and Andrew and their importance for the world film industry will be compared in their long and unnecessary dialogues, gray appearance and inconspicuous flights in the dark with such dinosaurs / icons of World cinema as Clooney and Keaton, one of which is just enough to walk a proud confident gait in the frame for a couple of seconds to disrupt ...
viewer...
Andres Muschietti did not shoot a repeat of Flashpoint from the CW channel and competently made the multiverse to become a MCU, and it turned out so well that you do not even know where to start praising it. The stars agreed on everything: script, plot, cast, technical performance. At the same time, the whole raspberry was spoiled by scandals, small fees and a general failure in the media.
It is strange to define this work within a genre. It's easier to say superheroic. There was a place for action, and comedy, and fiction, and drama. I like that with a key event in the comics, which actually restarts the universe (The New 52 -> DC Rebirth), the writers did not do everything according to the patterns of the original, and came up with their own. In fact, they untied their hands for a fan service, uniting everyone and everything. It was like watching Spider-Man. Through universes, only without the rusty-eyed acid style and with live action heroes.
First of all, I like the way the movie is written. It seems like 2.5 hours of timekeeping, but you never tire of watching. Rhythmic, exciting, exciting, with a wonderful sense of rhythm. I love what the movie is about: as if copying the governing idea of the first season of The Flash, Muschetti literally squeezes all the empathy out of you, and tears cannot be held back. This is a very touching and personal love story between my son and mother. The parable of accepting loss. The story that our scars are what makes us us.
Secondly, I like how the movie is made. Despite the outdated Graphen in places, the cinema remains a very spectacular Imaxov performance, which must be watched strictly on the big screen and surround sound. Self-repeat, but where to go: watching this movie on TV is a crime.
Thirdly, I like acting here. Miller and Keaton shine. It's their movie. It's about them. Played well from before. Drama works.
Fourth, fan service. Yeah, he's here and there's a lot of him. It is interesting to observe both references to pop culture and references to other films made (and not made) from DC comics.
As a result, Muschietti’s The Flash is DC’s finest contemporary film to be mired in scandals, thrashing and profit failure. A movie that is held hostage by circumstances and circumstances. Just abstract from all the noise around this picture, turn on the fresh summer blockbuster at full volume and go ahead. Caifanet, I'm sure.
This summer came the new DC film “Flash” 2023!
What is the essence of the failure of the film “Flash”?
The release of the long-suffering film "Flash", which was supposed to restart a new chapter of DC or become its basis for subsequent films. What problems I am talking about are many: production hell, changes in the general policy of the DC Corporation, scandals associated with the actor Ezra Miller, who played the main role.
The film “Flash”, which completely failed at the box office, is the embodiment of the lack of a single director’s vision, as well as the general end-to-end idea of the entire film.
The final nail in the coffin of his current and future projects was an attempt to “play” in the multiverse, but unlike Marvel, DC made much more primitive. In the movie "Flash" for the first time appears its own version of the multiverse from the DC universe. We, the audience, in this film in general explain how the multiverse arose, how Flash managed to penetrate the space-time continuum. In the same way, this film does not explain the motivation of the heroes of both one world and the multiverse. So, for example, why, while moving into the past, Flash encountered Batman (Michael Keaton) directed by Tim Burton. And their actions are proof of that. In my opinion, this is just a marketing ploy, to attract audiences to go to theaters, since there is no explanation for the appearance of this particular Batman in the film. All this looks like meaningless adventures of the main superhero of the film Flash against the background of antediluvian graphics.
This soapy and fuzzy graphics (for 2023), in some places even too noticeable, and it is surprising why this project is high-budget. It turns out that the film “Flash” was created purely for fan service and fans of the comic series, referring mainly to the presence of numerous references, cameos and gags, in places pleasant, but it is not clear why they are needed in this film. This calculation failed miserably because you cannot sit on all chairs. We get a vague, fuzzy idea from the filmmakers that merged with its poor implementation. Adding bad graphics - it turns out a very weak movie, after watching which you immediately forget it.
We will see what happens, but there is little hope.
Summary
The film “Flash” 2023 Addresses Muschietti, which was released this summer, is the largest failure in history, with a budget of $ 200-220 million (excluding marketing costs). And the world fees were more than $268. Loss according to forecasts Warner Bros amounted to $200 million
As for the film itself, after watching The Flash, there was a feeling of emptiness and indifference. The film, as if, shot for a completely different audience, the most children, with ridiculous jokes and some cartoon. Story holes and inconsistencies, a bad villain and, of course, the Flash himself. The movie didn’t make a difference!
The only thing that slightly pleased the film was the comeo and the post-credits scene.
The film made a much better impression than expected. Although expectations were minimal, almost none: the DC universe with these characters is ruined, Ezra himself is a talented actor, but, judging by the news, not a particularly pleasant person, and the image of Flash in this universe for me personally frank kringe. Still, by canon, this is not the second Credence Barbone, but rather closer in character to the Spider-Man from the Opository Marvel Universe.
It should be noted that the DC universe of animation and story arcs has always been more catchy. The same animated version of Flashpoint is excellent, on a par with Under the Hood and other full-length works. The time for comics is bad - the audience is already fed up, they are not surprised by anything and how not to stretch the timekeeping - an ill-conceived script can not be saved. Frankly, it seems that the writers’ strike as it began five years ago, and is still going on.
Back to Flash. Pros:
1) Oddly enough, but I liked that the authors did not copy the comic sheets. This will be a minus for someone, but in my opinion it is always interesting to know someone else’s interpretation with the same ingredients.
2) shows the relatively reliable reasons that all single arched superhero films sin - where was Batman or Superman in the fight for Atlantis, for example, etc. The world is big, there are many problems, and there are not enough heroes.
3) dynamics within the Justice League (even despite the humor level of childish fanfiction);
(4) Affleck: somehow suddenly such a native Batman (Whedon’s horrors from the reshoots must be erased from memory);
(5) Keaton: references, kitchen action, slaps and Batman vibe, parallels with Bale's Batman and so on;
6) happy for Rudy, the dude has charisma, although the role is banal and he seems to have played himself;
(7) the two-barry idea. The idea is good and there are some great points. The Parmesan joke is also fascinating.
Cons:
1) the two-barry idea. Why make one hero deliberately dumber? Is it possible to show the exclusivity of GG in any other way?
2) fan service with footage from other universes: probably behind the scenes left a lot of footage. But who's the final version for? To get the three spiders effect, you had to at least show Grant Gustins or someone else in the arrow universe or Titans. The audience would be much happier. Yes, they gave credit to Christopher Reeve and others, but now computer resurrection is no surprise. The scene takes a long time, but the effect is clearly not what it could be.
3) chemistry between characters: none. Ezra Miller cries as she looks at her mother, but there is no special relationship between them. I can't feel the connection. Same with Iris West and Barry's nouneims. With his father as with a neighbor: they seem to play drama, and I want to boil, muttering “I do not believe.”
(4) Credence Allen. With this Barry, you don't want to be in the same room for even five minutes. Disconction with the canonical version, of course, is possible at the will of the writers, but here the character is as different as possible. It is as if Clark Kent in his life behaved like a womanizer and a hanger, ate mushrooms and breathed grass, forgetting about his modest image of a reporter in glasses.
(5) Flashpoint problems. It feels like a couple of strong story holes.
(6) Very, very, very bad graphics. It’s a shame to release a movie if it’s not category b or c.
7) Supergirl. Sorry, but no. There are no complaints about the actress, but I did not come. It's personal, of course. I thought it was Melissa Benoist, but now I know it's worse. Her line is uneven, strange in logic (you are no one to help me, I will not change my mind, will we go together to Zodd?) and Kara was weak.
Verdict: Lookable, from some jokes you can smile. Not a masterpiece, but neither is the Fantastic Four of 2015. Could have been better. Interest faded when it became clear that the universe would not evolve. Big minus for Bruce, with all due respect to Clooney. Minus for special effects. There was potential, but something in the conveyor has long gone wrong. Would you like to reconsider? I don't think.
I'm a mediocre film critic, so I'll give you a good grade.
I generally treat superheroics with great condescension. Like horror movies. I don’t think they’re going to be in the Cannes Film Festival, right? So I don't really understand low grades. To me, no one expects superhero movies to have a deep story or a high message. It's a movie for fun, to unload the brain. And if the screen does not run rubber Godzilla, and the city is not made of milk boxes, then at least 6-7 points can be put. 9 and 10 are for movies like Oppenheimer or Pure Mind Shining, for example. When I go to see Marvel or D.C. movies, I don’t have any high expectations, I just want to see men fighting in tights to a decent schedule.
Although, with graphics, the Flash, of course, wised up in several scenes. It seemed to me that after the solo of the Black Widow, it could not be worse, but as they say, “they knocked from below.” I won’t say that this is a quiet horror, but I am used to the fact that in the 21st century and even more so after the second Avatar, computer graphics are not noticeable to the eye of a simple layman. One in this film she strongly catches the eye, as if we are again somewhere in the 2000s and graphics level Spies Children, where they are stuck in a computer game.
Where does the film come from in my opinion? Nice jokes. Yes, they're not intelligent here either, but they're definitely not bad, and I've laughed genuinely in a few scenes. For a long time they could not deal with a friend with the personality of Batman, but in the end they were pleasantly surprised. It's certainly not the same effect as when Andrew and Toby appeared in the last Spider-Man, but something close to that. And the ending really surprised me. Although it smells like a little plagiarism, it's a little bit. A little so flavored DC his cinematic universe theme of the multiverse, which is now actively promoted and developed in Marvel.
I really want to mention the actress Sasha Kalle. And all her appearances in the film may be pathos, but I was more impressed by her appearance. Very exotic and pleasant to the eye. I don’t even remember what she said or what she was doing during the film, but she remembered her face in detail. I hope to see her sometime in the future.
Ezra Miller, despite all the rumors that I can’t quote, because I didn’t really follow them, as an actor, I have pleasant emotions. I watched a surprisingly many films with him and his facial expressions, of course, are unusual, as is his appearance, however. It was interesting to watch him and I especially love all the comic scenes with him. I’m not sure if he drew the drama in this film, but for humor, his facial expressions are perfect.
Overall, the film left a pleasant impression. Not a masterpiece, and not the best movie among superheroes. More like a category that I'm ashamed to say you've seen. Black Widow's solo is there too. But this is for avid moviegoers and critics. I love superheroes in general. I won’t review it, but I don’t regret spending time and money on the film. Although I think both Marvel and D.C. have something to do with the graphics.
Tim Burton made a masterpiece that, for me, could not be surpassed by my favorite Nolan or the coolest actors. And the film Flash 2023 is the first picture that told the story of Batman in modern language, including, even if taken from a parallel reality.
I consider the style of the film in the colors of the first part, with Michael Keaton, all the technical nuances (machine, equipment, computer) and special effects (suit, hooks, wings) of Batman finally showed in a human way, and not in the style of “ordered from China by an FBI agent”.
Pleasure for the soul, for the eyes, balm for the heart, finally exhaled! Neither Robert Patinson (the film itself is strange), nor Ben Aflick, nor Christian Bale and Chrisopher Nolan with his coolest scripts (Inception, Interstellar, Argument, Prestige), nor George Clooney, and whoever else there has not surpassed Keaton and Burton. And here they are - someone indirectly, and someone in the literal sense.
And if you consider the picture about the Flash - also very colorfully implemented! A non-trivial scenario, for the first time ever made a non-Happy End and flushed the universe down the toilet, isn't it cool? The Flash is struggling with itself - also a good find.
Well, that's great! But I personally evaluate this picture only from the point of view of the updated Batman, because he, like Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean Sea, pulls over the blanket from the main character, otherwise in this case it should not be.
I’m not going to say I’m a big Flash fan, but the movie was a big one, so I decided to watch it. He surprised me, surprised me in the pleasant sense of the word. Not the story, not even the Flash. Surprised by more nostalgia than the film was filled with. What is the appearance of Michael Keaton in the image of Batman, there were many other interesting associations with the past, which I will not say that they were directly coolly implemented, but it looked very good, exciting and even very dramatic.
The beginning of the film was quite quick. Attention to the Flash came from the first minute, but if at first everything was fun and fun, then the further you look at the dramatic component, and it was transferred quite talented, despite the not the most attractive plot, but the level of nostalgia and the Flash himself did not let you get bored.
The idea to send the hero back in time is certainly not new, and recently very popular special about the characters from the comics. There were, beyond any doubt, advantages and disadvantages. Of the merits, I would note that it turned out to be a very good journey of the protagonist with good special effects, and with interesting characters who, I believe, lacked places of development, but in general it was pleasant to see. Of the shortcomings, I would like to note that little interesting is happening in the present, although Bruce Wayne, on the contrary, very convincingly convinced The Flash that one should live in the present.
Superman was obviously lacking, he was often talked about, he even appeared in one episode, but still felt that this is not what you want to see. But on the other hand, the picture turned out quite a good storyline about Barry’s past with a very strong dramatic bias.
Andy Muschietti made an imperfect film with its pros and cons, but it is pleasant to watch. It's like you're on Barry's big journey through his past. As if you, along with the main character, feel his pain, experience with him, go through all the tests again and again. The film reminds of the old truth that there is no point in changing the past, it is better to deal with the present. But the hero chooses his feelings and his loss. Time and time again he tries to change things that cannot be corrected. It was interesting and instructive to watch him.
Ezra Miller I really liked playing The Flash. I liked it because it showed a great balance between fun and dramatic. The hero faces many problems in the past. And Ezra has done all that talent.
Ben Affleck It’s very small, but it’s so damn nice to see it again. I liked the fact that I tried to reach Barry. Not this time.
Michael Keaton. It was nice to see him as Batman. He's aged a lot, especially when he was wearing a Bats suit, but he's still good. Tandem with the Flash, as for me, succeeded.
Michael Shannon: General Zodd is back. At times, it seemed like he wasn’t playing. His emotions were missing. Not bad, but something was missing. It's just emotions.
The ending surprised me too. I didn't expect to see who showed up. It would have taken on a brighter tone for the whole film and nostalgia. But that's not bad.
The Flash is certainly not the coolest movie, but I did not see a sharp rejection in it. There were advantages and disadvantages. There was more good. It was just nostalgia that caught my eye and it was nice to see The Flash and his adventures in the past. Bats, although I won’t say that he showed something unreal, but he liked it much more than the Flash. Keaton played well and caused a lot of emotions. Although the picture did not have enough emotions and great development at times, but still was satisfied.
The tragic demise of the universe or the tale of time tomatoes
Before watching the film, I heard a lot of negative comments about this film. I want to thank everyone who lowered my expectations. I saw a much better picture than the one I was told.
Let's start with the minuses. Disgusting graphics. Yesterday I watched the ascent of animals and complained about the decline in the quality of graphics. The Flash is also a representative of degrading graphics in cinema. Yes, of course, compared to the trailer graphics slightly tightened and it is really noticeable, but not so much to let it get away with the creators. It’s like 2023, and we’re seeing it. .
Another disadvantage is humor. I'm 20 years old, I love black and immoral humor, and dumb humor. But I'm fed up with these jokes about sex, genitals and all that clown character humor. Is it possible to write at least one movie humor slightly higher than the level of teenagers in the school toilet?
The story is not bad, but the ending. . . She shuts all the doors, everything. The script was rewritten several times, the ending was changed 3 times. To the screens got the saddest ending for fans, which leaves a bitter aftertaste.
But overall, the story is really good. Events move with moderate dynamics and all characters manage to get albeit a small, but development.
Also, the flash was able to momentarily recreate the multiverse of madness that everyone had been waiting for in Doctor Strange 2. One of the best scenes of the film, for which the picture can be revised a couple of times.
One of the advantages of the film is Sasha Kalle in the image of supergirl. Words cannot describe how beautiful she looks in a suit and how well she plays her role. A real character drama.
Thank you very much to the composer of the film. This movie has some of the best soundtracks I've heard in the last 10-20 movies. Dani Elfman's topic is a separate conversation. The hummingbirds are provided.
In the end, the flash turned out to be what I expected from this film, but with drawbacks that upset me. Let’s not forget that the film was in production hell for a long time and what has come down to us is a mixture of many scripted visions. But I liked the movie.
I looked at the flash. And surprisingly, I liked him.
I'm not a geek and I'm not very deep in the subject. Almost all of the major DC and Marvel films I’ve watched, and to my surprise, I couldn’t understand why this movie is called a ‘failure’.
Someone scolds the picture for poor graphics, someone did not please the plot, which does not converge with the DC lore. Someone accuses WB of copying Marvel's ideas. Fans' jokes are also considered inappropriate. This “hait” list can be enumerated indefinitely. Should I?
The picture at the emotional level is perceived quite harmoniously and does not cause internal negativity. Here everything is in place: a well-written motivation of the protagonist, a story that is interesting to watch, DC realism, in which the characters are not invulnerable and from this you begin to worry for them. From a dramatic point of view, the film basically beats the competition, showing the growth of the flash as a person, his view of himself from the outside and how he does not just take responsibility when the seniors on the team are not around. The authors are so steamed with the story that it involuntarily begins to believe and watch it in one breath, that with a superhero happens quite rarely.
About "Marvel-like." Michael Keaton’s Batman, and the other characters in the story, looked to me personally like pieces of the puzzle, not references. Michael Keaton's Batman is not 'the Bruce Wayne' the Flash knew, it's really that old Batman. Knowing the fate of Keaton and his previous roles, Birdman is involuntarily remembered in my head - another famous film of this actor.
As a result, for me personally, the “failure” of critics turned suddenly into a high-quality picture, and watching the film caused only positive emotions and pleasure.
8 out of 10
Barry Allen, known for his mega-speed abilities, made it to a solo movie! DC fans were already well known with him on the series of the same name, those who do not follow the comics very closely, could see Allen in the Justice League, as well as in the Justice League of Zack Snyder.
And there he is! Wow! The flash on the big screen in the foreground and Batman (and others) is somewhere far behind! Yes, and the story twists, affecting the multiverse, which can be more than one Flash, more than one Batman, etc.
That's just...
The multiverse is certainly not bad. As well as the opportunity to see Michael Keaton again in the role of Batman (as well as the actor himself to return to this image is also great, right?). Plus that old-school suit from Tim Burton's movies with that very old-school emblem. That's cool!! And if in a cameo role, the viewer sees another star actor who once played Batman - so it's a mega-event!
The positive “basket” can also be attributed to the return to the epic battle scene from “Man of Steel”, as well as the appearance of different versions of Superman including Nicholas Cage from the never-realized project of Burton, Christopher Peave and George Reeves, as well as other DC characters who appeared here thanks to the capabilities of graphics and neural networks.
The truth is that the advantages or rather the pluses of the Flash end (well, this is in my purely subjective opinion).
The Flash is not original in the script (although the originality in the superhero is now something of a fantasy, as funny as it may sound), because the protagonist has an internal conflict and a problem (the father is in prison) that he is trying to solve. Although here you can find some difference from the traditional scenario, because the Flash has to solve a problem much more difficult than the victory over the main villain.
In some places, when viewing, there is a feeling that scenes were mercilessly cut out of the film at the editing stage, which made The Flash look like Justice League 2017. And from this narrative becomes torn and does not have a holistic shell.
Tired and the musical theme of Diana Prince and something suggests that it will continue to be used with each appearance of this character and the directors will come to this scene: conditional Bruce Wayne is driving down the street of Gotham, listening to Paranoid, but then there are interferences in the receiver and for a couple of moments the musical theme of Diana sounds, and all because of the fact that in one of the street cafes at the very moment when Wayne passed him, Miss Prince was sitting drinking her latte!
But the biggest drawback is the graphics. In some places, she's awful! And the viewer stumbles upon the first such place at the very beginning, when he sees graphically horribly painted babies! It’s 2023, but it feels like Andy Muschietti’s film brought us back to the beginning of the zeros when the Hulk with Eric Bana came out (I don’t know why, but it was this superhero film with far from the best graphics that came to mind first).
Yes, even the very first "Jurassic Park" looks more realistic, although this film and "The Flash" shares no more than 3 decades. Well, go a little less, given that “The Flash” was shot much earlier, but due to a number of problems, it reached the screens only now.
But the fact remains: the graphics are terrible.
Ezra Miller, who played Barry Allen well in Justice League, in The Flash presented the same eccentric and funny Barry Allen and at times his slowness looked funny. Like in the beer bottle scene. However, the stupidity of the hero, multiplied by two (remember that this is a multiverse), looks too heavy. There is too much comedy in the film, where there are so many human victims.
Alas, but so far DC soloists do not shine with quality. We can hardly expect a breakthrough from the Blue Bug. There is hope, but...
Facts
At the time of the film’s release, Michael Keaton was 71 and became the oldest actor to play Batman in a movie or TV series. He was older than Adam West, who was 88 when he last voiced Batman in Batman vs. Two-Face (2017), and Olan Sole, who was 74 when he last voiced Batman in the seventh season of The World's Greatest Super Friends (1973).
- When the unfinished version of the film was shown to test audiences in 2022, it reportedly received the highest ratings for a test screening among Warner Bros films since The Dark Knight (2008). Warner Bros was so pleased with this reaction that almost immediately confirmed the release date of the film.
- One of the first films was seen by Tom Cruise, who received a copy of the film a few months before its release. He watched the movie and liked it so much that he called director Andy Muschietti to congratulate him.
The film was originally scheduled for release on June 23, 2023, the 34th anniversary of the release of Batman (1989), but was postponed a week earlier.
But look at you. I do not impose my opinion on anyone.
The main spoiler - yellow rainballs and red balls will not.
But there will be 'Mama', which cannot but rejoice, because Mother is a saint!
Actually, the story is about the Flash, who goes back in time to try to save his mother (she was killed when he was a baby). Well, it's all going well. . .
I know. Looks like John Watts' last lost Spider, where the famous triplet was. There is also a multiverse here (especially at the end), but wait for something special "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Lift up my jaw!! is not necessary here.
If you look globally, the tape is maximally filler (this is not injections, but empty series in series that serve to increase the number of episodes in seasons). That's the same shit!
We are trying to introduce the character of the Flash, because he did not have a full-fledged solo album. Therefore, the primitive pens of the writers sent him back to the past, so that he “received a little training in abilities.”
Moreover, the main drama with the mother is not really disclosed, because in the film, God give 5 minutes and a couple of additional lines to the background. Like, read comics before watching to fully feel the inner pain of the character. It’s not Uncle Ben who left Tobey Maguire with a “great responsibility.”
But the scenes with the mother are still incredibly touching and can cause emotions!
The rest of the tape can not offer anything interesting. There is no crazy action, interesting story, strong drama. Of the main characters, except for the charismatic Ezra Miller, no one really remembers. Even Batman who was burned in the trailers. . .
But the main disadvantage of the film is the graphics. You've never seen this level. I'm serious. And the closer you get to the end, the more you want to watch the movie with your back! Where did the budget go? . .
But, as I said, the movie is nothing. He's not bombarded, but there's no wow emotion either. You can watch if you miss the norms of superheroics (because against the background of ring comedies for babies from Marvel Flash looks almost a masterpiece, because here the balance of humor and drama is not broken). But watch your eyes, because you can catch an overdose of soap!
4.5 out of 10
Overall, good. Yes, this does not correspond to the positive noise from the first shows. This is not one of the best comic book movies of all time. And it's not even one of DC's best movies. I enjoyed watching the movie.
Much may depend on how you feel about Ezra Miller. Junior Barry Allen was really annoying, but I think that's the point. At first, I had a problem with him too, but towards the end of the film, things changed.
Outstanding to me was Michael Keaton. When Batman goes about his business, and Danny Elfman’s legendary music gathers momentum, it’s a joy. But don’t think it’s not Batman 3, it’s the movie The Flash starring Batman-Keeton.
Supergirl was good, I liked it, and if it got a separate movie, I would have looked at it. There were some moments that surprised me, but were not disclosed.
Graphics. For the time they spent making this film, she was very limp at some points. Given what the creators have been saying, I can’t believe they released the film in this way. Computer graphics at the moment is my biggest complaint.
They get away with a lot of his ratings, including nudity and a fair amount of obscene language.
I’m not sure I’ll watch it again, but I was happy to watch it once.

There were so many problems with the film, with the actor Ezra Miller, with the story arc, and after James Gunn headed the studio, the project was dubbed the restart of the entire Cinematic Universe. Difficult things with DC, the projects changed directions, after Zack Snyder there was no development of heroes, and the Flash was able to combine several characters. But the film failed at the box office, it was a failure for the studio, so let’s take a closer look at it.
Barry Allen is a runner who can not only do a lot of things in a short time, but also travel through time. I didn’t like the character as such, but I got to know him in more detail from the CW series The Flash with Grant Gustin. We have a full meter to solve Barry's personal problems, since he glimpsed Batman v Superman. At the Dawn of Justice, in David Eyre's Suicide Squad and revealed himself to us as a full-fledged hero in Justice League. You know, you have to love a superhero. A comic image is, of course, fun, but as a hero, we have a fast guy.
Andres Muschietti can offer a beautiful suspense. His Barry Allen story goes well. It's still echoes of the movie universe, so it's interesting that Barry is being watched by Batman and Alfred is getting in touch with him. But after the Marvel projects that developed this theme into Spider-Man: Away from home, it is now a secondary. As shown by the fees of both studios-competitors, the audience is tired of the superhero, and the “Flash”, which dragged on in production, took on too much. Elements of humor and the power of speed perfectly show the hero, while the plot of “Flashpoint” concerns only one, looped story, Barry’s drama.
We are faced with a too fast plot (in the film about the Flash), so the development does not allow us to appreciate the tragedy. The flash, due to speed, travels to the past to change it. That's the Flashback. All possible stories about time travel immediately pop up when you realize that the “butterfly effect” has not been canceled. Bruce Wayne is also talking about this. It’s a shame that both Marvel in Avengers: Endgame (and then Loki) and DC in Justice League and The Flash resort to time travel. When nothing else can be squeezed out of the hero. I’m not arguing that slowing down time for a fast hero is cool graphics and brilliant action (remember the appearance of Mercury in X-Men: Days of Future Past), but Barry does not solve the problems here and now, but goes to the past, destroys the space-time continuum. All according to Dr. Brown's notes.
How do you get the audience? Do what Marvel did in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was beautiful when two timelines merge into one. As Hermione warned in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the main thing is not to meet yourself, and Andres Muschietti just pushes two Barrys at the same time. Interest affects comedic notes, and the plot again returns to the events of “Man of Steel”. But at this time, things are a little different. That's what the studio is counting on. Despite all the disadvantages of the paradox, the picture begins to take out on nostalgia and a change in the usual plot image.
Michael Keaton is back in service. It was cool, it was exciting. It's a bit like Danny Elfman. In this world, we have Tim Burton's Batman. But if the character is different now, then Superman and Wonder Woman and Aquaman and Cyborg should be different. The seed for Justice League members is pretty cool, but again, too fast. It is clear that in the yard of 2013, and General Zod is now destroying the planet, but everything was brought to this according to the plot to quickly gather the heroes.
If, instead of Affleck, Keaton is here, if Superman is Supergirl, why is Ezra Flash? This is a plot excuse, though with small errors. But for two Flash characters use a scene from Frankenstein and lightning rod (BET thunder). When viewing it seems that something is missing, and something in abundance.
The heap in this film, which could be safely broken into two parts. Especially the director did this with the adaptation of “It” Stephen King, but the studio bosses pressed, so we have too many eyeliners, one climax and a meeting with the main opponent of the Flash. Katina for the finale gives a multiverse of madness, where for nostalgia, for fans of different eras appear their Batman and Superman. But there are other gaps: If we have the Tim Burton universe here, why Supergirl? Everyone knows who was supposed to be Superman in Burton’s third film. Although pleasant shots "Flash" still gives fans.
The drama of the superhero is clear, the plot with time travel and problems once again show that what happened is not given a second chance, this is well represented by the example of both Flashes. But the film was trying to prove that the studio can keep up with competitors. At the same time, the film was not canceled, and James Gunn said that “The Flash” will be a restart of the cinematic universe, but how can we restart it if all our projects lose development and in general meaning. The film studio is sinking, but still trying to catch a lifeline.
"The Flash" came out beautiful, interesting, but stuffed with all the chips for fans and for the studio, while the film failed at the box office. Shazam! The rage of the gods failed as well. "Blue Beetle" is a little-known project, which will be released in a week. Aquaman's sequel is already looming at the end of the year (but it will be postponed due to strikes). But we see that the situation is not being saved, that one project, for example, Suicide Squad: Mission Through, shoots, and another, for example, Black Adam, sinks. "The Flash" tried at the expense of the ability of the hero from the multiverse to do something significant, but comes out weakly. The film itself is not bad, just put too much on it, and it did not live up to expectations. There is a string of problems, from Miller’s scandals to the writers’ and actors’ strike. And in the end, everything is clear: people are tired of the superhero genre.
The owners of Warner studios had big plans for the Flash to become a special blockbuster and perhaps the best comic book movie in history. This was repeatedly stated by the CEO of the company David Zaslav. However, the film itself took a long time to get to the premiere, the creators started numerous reshoots and postponed the release of the film because of the scandals associated with Ezra Miller. And so "The Flash" still got to the cinemas and instead of high hopes brought a serious disappointment.
Speaking of the plot, he tells us how Barry Allen, aka The Flash, is trying to find a place in a new world where meta-humans are no longer something truly incredible. But Barry still feels out of place. He is constantly considered a hero of the second tier, he is forced to follow the orders of Batman and in general does not look independent. However, Barry finds a special purpose and this leads to very unexpected consequences.
The fact is that Barry’s father is suspected of killing his wife and the hero decides to develop hyper-speed and travel back in time to correct this moment. But Barry made a mistake somewhere and was not in his universe, where the other Batman, Superman no one knows, and General Zod is about to announce his plans for Earth. As you can see, they are not friendly at all.
That's if you take and read the plot, the film looks quite interesting and until the middle of viewing the adventures of Barry is actually interesting to follow. But then The Flash started to bore me a lot and by a certain point it was boring. I personally liked all the scenes with Michael Keaton’s Batman, as the character is well written and revealed in quite detail. However, the story with the next attack of Zod is not at all impressive, although she was given a lot of screen time.
As for the climax, it also succumbed to considerable processing and turned into a farce for the sake of farce, which also cannot please. It is clear that the creators kind of caught the courage and went into artistic separation, but there is no logic and meaning in their actions. And this even though they persuaded one serious person to make a responsible, but still meaningless cameo.
“The Flash” was supposed to be a big breakthrough, and turned out to be a rather mundane film with bad special effects and plot holes that no longer matter because of the restart of the entire universe.
5 out of 10
Superhero long-term “The Flash”, which survived the change of director, several rewriting scripts, several reshoots, scandals with Ezra Miller and the change of leadership of Warner Bros, finally saw the light of day. The Flash now needed to restart the Cinematic Universe so that this time WB would try to get it right. And we can’t say that the comic book in the end coped well, but I can’t end up calling the film bad.
The plot of "The Flash" is based on the free adaptation of the arc "Flashpoint" - one of the most significant and famous events in the DC Comics universe. And the adaptation is actually very free and at the same time much less ambitious. But even considering the history of the Flash, I want to praise it.
Despite numerous edits to the script, the script of the tape is actually very good. This is a single piece, headed by Barry Allen with his own personal tragedy. And already on this basis, meat is added in the form of another interpretation of the multiverse concept, the return of old and the appearance of new characters. The work with the central hero (or rather, even his two hypostases) was very good. His motivation is clear, as is his personal growth throughout the narrative. The story leaves its mark on Barry, and The Flash learns its valuable lesson.
Speaking of the script, I want to scold two things. First, humor. No, there are enough good, really good jokes in the movie. But not everything can be called such, some gags are obvious too much with stupidity. Second, a farewell to the old DC Cinematic Universe. The Flash should have beautifully let the old heroes go, but it failed. It is very painful to see Batman played by Ben Affleck after the work Zack Snyder did on the character.
But Batman played by Michael Keaton only want to praise. Grandpa's back to his legendary image, and he's still damn good. It’s a great character within the film, which is a really important part of the story, not just a cameo for a cameo. Keaton's Batman is great, the action with him is very good, the scene during the rescue of Supergirl is just power. Bravo.
And since we were talking about Super Sherl - Sasha Kalle very well fit into the image. The girl looks decent on the screen, even if her role is not as big as I would like. Again, it is a pity that Supergirl Sasha, apparently, will not enter the new cinematic universe.
And of course the Flash. I doubted Ezra Miller, but it was The Flash that convinced me of his acting ability. The film features two different versions of Barry Allen, and Ezra does play different characters. Yes, this is essentially one hero, but each version has grown into its own reality, and therefore each Barry differs from the second in behavior, speech and intelligence. It's just a great job here.
What's wrong is the graphics. I have never seen such a disgusting visual part in modern blockbusters. Even Marvel, while their CGI and VFX quality has objectively fallen, has not been so disgraced. The Flash is just hitting the bottom. At the same time, from an aesthetic point of view, the picture should have been happy, you can see that they tried to stage the frame, and it would have been happy if it did not look so fake and cheap.
What's the result? The Flash is a good movie. It is not perfect, by all means, there is something to redo, there is something to improve, but a lot of effort was invested in it, it is obvious. Over the tape tried, "The Flash" works perfectly with the concept of the multiverse, works with the main character. For this, he wants to forgive his shortcomings. Which I'll do.
Goodbye old DCEU, goodbye Snydervers, you did what you could.
One of the most (if not the most) hard-hitting movies in DC. A movie that should have been released in the last decade. Frankenstein, woven from hundreds of scripts. The film, which was eventually defeated by everyone and severely failed at the box office. Is it that bad? And yes, and no.
This is probably one of the clearest examples of how a studio can influence the creation process when it has no plan. And the excuses that now the cinematic universe will be restarted with this film turned out to be complete puff. This is a terribly unbalanced and ragged movie that by itself does not know what to show the viewer. It just throws humor, drama, action, references into its broth to make it happen. But he does not normally want to tie everything together, which makes it boring to look at the screen.
A story about loss, overcoming pain and acceptance. A huge opportunity to show the full spectrum of Ezra Miller’s acting (and he does, despite his antics, which I condemn). But the authors decide to show anything, but not to concentrate on the character. And when they remember, they pour out a whole lot of drama. It doesn't work well anymore. There are links and a message, but how poorly implemented.
The concept itself is incredibly interesting. But the film doesn't use that potential even halfway. That seems to be the problem with all multiverse movies (yes, I’m the one who’s not happy with the latest Spider-Man movie). Sometimes you can really see something really interesting, but next time the authors spoil everything.
The picture from the first scene just repels from viewing. Saving babies is a nightmare and a horror. And it is not only in the schedule, but also in the production itself. It's very bad. I don’t even want to talk about the visual component. Comic books are getting worse with special effects. But here we went deeper into the bottom. Very bad.
There is a lot of inappropriate and just disgusting humor in the film. Yeah, the Flash is a fun guy. But not a clown and an idiot. And the authors decided to recoup completely. Especially when there are two Barrys. Why not make them different (which is right). But not so much so that one kind of squabbles you. When you make a comedian relief with his drama, I think it’s a bad idea.
There are advantages, but they are hidden behind all the shortcomings. I really liked Sasha Kalle as Supergirl. Yeah, not exactly canon, but she's cool. It's a pity that she's criminally lacking in the film.
What a man! Thank you for Michael Keaton. He's just stealing all the scenes. Yes, and the staging of action with him is cool (as if other people filmed everything related to this character). Watch this movie for him at least. Well, that's the melody from Burton's movie. High.
Oh, yeah. Cameo. It was done just very badly. Clear for the tick and no frills. It would have been better not to.
I always feel bad for DC comics. They had so many chances to shoot something really cool. But the Worners do everything to make people spit. And The Flash was no exception. Yes, someone can enjoy it (and in some places it will seem interesting). This movie is clearly better than many superheroes of late. Just when you take a source that is already cult by the standards of the comic book and sit in a puddle, it is perceived much more painful. So, in general, we are facing another failure. The authors had all the cards to make at least a cool movie. But we got what we got.
I want to start my mini-review with the fact that yesterday I suddenly wanted to go to the theater with my father and my choice fell on a new DC film called The Flash. Briefly on dubbing: Dubbed by Flarrow Films Fire! It was nice to hear the same voices I was used to. The sound is high quality, the actors’ play is also top. Now for the movie: The Flash is a cute, fun, easy popcorn movie. Personally, I don’t think it’s a 21st-century masterpiece, but if you think about it, it’s not DC’s worst movie, I think they’ve had worse movies. On the plus side, Great actors and their acting, good soundtrack, good camera work, good plot. Of the minuses, I would note a couple of plot holes. In the end, “The Flash” – although not a masterpiece comic book, but it was a lamp, cute and interesting adventure for 140 minutes. During this time, my father and I laughed, and even screamed in the voice with jokes, and somewhere even cried with him. I think I’ll revisit this movie someday, and I hope I buy it for my collection on Blu-ray! I’ll give the film a strong 7.5-8 out of 10 and recommend it!
A pleasant reboot of the movie universe that gives hope!
I am a big fan of DC Comics!
And what happened to the DC Cinematic Universe, always tried to defend and justify, although it was painful to watch.
Marvel’s superheroics, which we’ve all grown accustomed to over the past 15 years, are in crisis, as can be seen from their latest projects. And it seems that the James Gunn movie universe has a good chance to pull the blanket over itself. Flash is a great start!
I approached this picture with high hopes, but with skepticism and from the first minutes I realized that it was not in vain. Weak graphics hurt my eyes. Thank goodness that wasn’t the case throughout the film. There were moments where there was a clear lack of refinement, but it can be boiled down to the last-minute changes from James Gunn. The graphics in the scenes in speedforce are probably squeaky-eyed on purpose. Apparently, from the Flash side, the world at its speed looks like this.
They had an idea and they stuck to it.
Graphics are the weakest part of 7 out of 10.
I want to mention a rather pleasant humor. I laughed in my voice for a couple of moments. I remember watching the long-suffering Justice League of 2017, and I was constantly feeling the Spanish shame of The Flash being made a complete fool. Mistakes were handled competently. 9 out of 10.
All the actors performed their roles wonderfully. And I was once again convinced that Ezra was the perfect match for The Flash. He was able to show how his character grows up throughout the film, and turns from an errand boy into a real hero.
His 18-year-old version was also successful. I think a lot of teenagers, if they were in this situation, would behave this way, and not like the heroes of Riverdale.
I'd like to say thank you for all the Bats and Soups who showed up. I love cameos, even such minor as the appearance of the cutter Andres Muschietti and Nikolai Coster-Waldau, where Barry stole food straight from his mouth.
In the film managed to say goodbye to Affleck and Gadot. And the scene after the credits clearly made it clear that Jason Mamoa's Aquaman will definitely remain in the new movie universe. Looking forward to Aquaman 2.
The cast of 10 out of 10.
The script also did not fail, and I did not even notice a single significant blunder. Everything is calm and clear, I did not have to scratch my head or beat myself on the forehead from the stupidity of the characters.
And the scene explaining their multiverse really surprised me. I discovered this concept for the first time.
Almost no cranberries. Thank you, Marvel's "Secret Invasion" is in charge of that.
After watching the movie, I have no questions, except what happens next? 9 out of 10.
Flash pleased, now you need to wait for his detailed analysis on YouTube, for complete happiness.

A superhero that inspires hope. James Gunn, good luck.
A boy with superpowers travels to the past to save his parents. As a result, everything breaks and makes it worse.
Note that the stupid Spider in his film cared about the personal good, wanted to simplify his life. And for that reason, it was a mess.
The Flash tried to save Mom and Dad. The difference is huge.
Everyone liked Spider (I liked it too), and the Flash was scolded by many. Yes, the laughter of the young version of the character is idiotic, but you can look a little deeper.
Clearly, with Bruce Wayne's connections, getting Dad out of jail doesn't cost much. But heroes are not looking for easy ways.
So, what do we have here for a vinaigretic mix?
- a lot of stupid jokes and some very nice ones.
Stupid: dirty underpants on the face, glued tooth, baby in the microwave
Pleasant: Lasso of truth on Batman (br br br br, I better give money to the poor), Eric Stolz in Back to the Future (a joke for moviegoers)
- Counton bad. Hence, perhaps, such low ratings of the target audience. Well, I don't care.
- Actors are normal. They completely play their characters. And the fact that the characters are comic, simple, it is not the fault of the actors.
- Cameos are nice. Several Batmans from different universes, and Galya ran past. I'm always happy.
- the duration is excessive. The dynamic is sagging.
Material there for an hour and a half maximum. Not by two and a half.
- meaning, idea, there. Even a few. Even the good ones.
Love your mother.
Accept your life.
Appreciate what you have.
For a movie about a runner in red pants - very good.

Man, being a complex, contradictory and multifaceted creature, consists of his decisions and actions, mistakes and successes, his present and his past. He thinks, he speaks and argues, he reflects and experiences, and often - sometimes more often than necessary - his thoughts are occupied by the past and sunk into oblivion. The more difficult these days are, the more thoughts they occupy. The relationship between a person and his past is not easy, thousands of books have been written about it, thousands of films have been shot, but the creators of The Flash do not much help the beaten and most understandable path. For the Flash, the injury of its protagonist is only an excuse to plunge into the abyss of another bright action, which cannot be a worthy solution for a picture on such a topic.
At the same time, I would like to start with what can be called the merit of the new film, namely with the quite decent acting work of Ezra Miller, who embodied ... I would like to say that one person at different periods of his life, but no, in this case two completely different characters. The glaring difference between the standard Barry and Barry alternative, like nothing else, clearly conveys the simple, but quite true idea that a person is formed not so much by genetic preconditions as by the circumstances of his life, which was confirmed, for example, by the example of identical twins separated in childhood; now the creators of The Flash have gone even further, depicting different things on the example of the same person. The fact that the hero is actually one follows from the actions of the alternative Barry towards the end of the film, quite typical for the main version, which, however, does not make the characters fundamentally similar. But “The Flash” would not be itself, if for some reason it did not refute the successfully expressed idea through another key character, namely Batman, who is to some extent a point of stability for millions of straight and curved versions of reality, but for some reason with the unity of his fate in them everywhere different.
Choosing the hero’s overcoming of his past as a fundamental theme, no, even more – his acceptance, implies, at a minimum, a place for reflection, experiences, emotional swings and searches for answers to long-formulated questions. However, instead of self-improvement, Barry is engaged in some desperate boiling activity, whose effectiveness is comparable to the success of fighting windmills or fighting the Snake Gorynych, which grows three new ones in the place of one severed head. In addition, having got into a difficult situation because of his undeveloped complex, the hero must realize by the end not only that he made a mistake - the film speaks about it head-on, but to understand the infidelity of the very nature of the decision taken in order not to repeat it again. Due to the approximately zero attention of the picture to the emotional state of his hero, nothing like this happens, the hero not only does not come to the desired understanding, he actually steps on the same rake, and what he does not fully receive in the forehead, can only be a poor-quality study of the plot. In addition, the picture does not offer the hero an adequate way out: where in the usual situation, the central character must find a new point of support instead of the obsessive thought that has been released, our hero does not get anything, remaining at the same level of development, therefore, risking again making a bunch of stupid mistakes.
It is impossible not to note the absolutely unfavorable relationship of the plot of the picture and elementary logic and common sense. If at first what is happening seems at least partially normal not contradictory, then the further, the more hopeless. If we take into account the mini-lecture of Batman on the nature, eh, the local multiverse, albeit much more conventional than that of direct competitors, it turns out that the realities, firstly, may not coincide, and secondly, should not depend on each other. But if so, then the reproduction of the events of the basic reality in the considered alternative reality is not necessary at all, and then the seething activity of the main Allen loses any meaning. The only thing that should worry the hero, may be only returning home, but for some reason it is not. Perhaps because in such a situation it would be too simple, not at all exciting, and the villain-antagonist, in “The Flash” absolutely passable, would not be needed, and the writers could not go to such a situation.
Another problem of the film, though much smaller than the ones described above, is related to the superhero essence of the protagonist. Superheroism, in its essence, cannot mean and does not mean simply running in tights and releasing fire from the eyes, superheroism is, above all, the willingness to make decisions, take responsibility for them, independence of thinking and independence. Even in a normal state, Allen, in a situation of need to show his unusual “me”, hopes for anyone – for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Superman, Batman, but not for himself. It's kind of immature, and our primary Barry isn't a teenager at all. Shown on the screen some key story event associated with Barry's abilities, for the perception of the hero as not quite a superhero does not change anything. In addition, the writers clearly did not understand what to do next with such a turn of events, limiting themselves to a couple of funny scenes, and then deciding to return everything as soon as possible to its own way - why did you even start such a fuss if you have nothing to say? In the end, everything went into some kind of whistle, which cannot be a compliment.
Being a superficially fascinating picture, "The Flash" somehow manages to keep the audience's attention, but not the viewer from a solid facepalm. The plot is quite helpless, deeply secondary, illogical, often primitive and far-fetched, which reduces to "no" the efforts of many actors. Cameos, which in the “Flash” pond, added just for hype, plot they are not substantiated and not necessary – it’s not “Spider-Man”: just a cheap trick in order to fool the fans. But Ezra Miller, no matter how controversial this figure is, in principle, copes with the role: for example, the constant impatience and haste of the hero in the light of his abilities is very convincing, and the game of two personalities is also worthy of attention. But only this is not enough to make the film considered lucky – alas, it is not.
As one famous footballer once said, “Your expectations are your problems.” I didn’t expect anything because I knew I was going to watch. So I was not disappointed.
The Flash is a kind of Marvel Spider-Man, only the copy came out badly. In the justice squad, he is still shaded by other characters. When he runs a movie, it's not great. When all this is superimposed on a stupid scenario, it’s hard to expect anything good. What could be worse than Ezra Miller's Flash? Young Ezra Miller. Traveling to the past at exceeding the speed of light is generally such nonsense that aliens, supermen and others look almost scientifically proven facts. Therefore, the plot initially looks disabled, and at the end and completely lost any thread of the narrative (this happens around the time of the appearance of my beloved Nick Cage). Coincidence? I don't think. And the return to Zod looks strange.
The jokes were nothing, but in general, Marvel is a long way off. Graphics in some places raised serious questions, what did you spend 200 million? To this grossest cgi?
The only thing you can put an unambiguous plus is a therapist dog, especially in the final credits. It deserves a whole score from the top.
In general, a passing film for one evening, and then if there is nothing else to watch.

I am not a fan of the DC Universe. However, I have watched most projects related to the theme of the Flash.
I really liked the film and left a positive impression, I watched it with great pleasure in one go.
I think he is very underrated by the public.
It feels like the creators have tried to reveal the character/universe in an unconventional and completely different way. No bright, tolerant-racist LGBT propaganda. No stupid stereotypes about Russians. We tried to assemble all the necessary cast. Good soundtracks, light humor, Ezra Miller fits very well into the role of The Flash with his real drug addiction. Feeding history through a tomato bank is a very creative idea.
Separately, I want to note the simplicity of the plot and its intuitive comprehensibility. Screenwriters are great. Very filigree showed who is "Reverse Flash" and how he appeared, unlike other projects. Supergirl fits in, and after 20 years of exploring the universe, I'm at least beginning to understand who it is. And there are no boring explanations.
It's a bit of a flaw. Too much computer graphics, you need to use more real props when shooting, otherwise special effects begin to catch your eye.
It just so happens that the last decade in the eternal race of two media franchises based on comics, DC spent first as catching up, and then just hopelessly behind.
Judge for yourself: Marvel five years earlier gathered the most iconic characters in a single film, not to mention that “the Avengers” came out many times better than “Justice League”. 10 Marvel films have broken the bar of 1 billion in fees (and two of them and even got more than 2 billion), while DC had only 4 such films.
And the theme with multiverses was also first promoted by Marvel, already in the early 2020s, giving out a wet dream of all fans, gathering in Spider-Man: There's no way home, three Peter Parkers. All that remained for DC was to follow, trying to match, if not in quantity and speed, then at least in quality. Did it work? Let's figure it out.
"The Flash" also saddles the theme of traveling through different universes and also uses a sense of nostalgia as one of the methods of attracting the viewer. If only in Spider-Man: The appearance of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire was not announced (although there were leaks to the press) and was a surprise to many, the Flash reveals all the cards already at the trailer stage, showing Michael Keaton in a Batman mask. So there was no surprise. But this does not mean that the film has nothing to surprise.
First of all, the movie has an unexpectedly good humor. We're all used to DC tending to frown and try to make their movies gloomy (the Shazam dilogy is an exception). There were fears that the “Flash” will try to catch up seriousness where not necessary, but they, fortunately, were not confirmed. One moment with Lasso The truth is worth it! The drama, however, is also in the film, but it does not look tortured and drawn by the ears. Thanks in large part to Ezra Miller, who plays dramatic moments very convincingly. The story of temporal paradoxes and the predestination of key events also works to create the right atmosphere. There are, of course, excesses: for a “dramatic” moment with the transfer of a toy monkey, closer to the end, you want to prick the writers on the neck – the scene looks so cheap and implausible. And the death of their characters, some actors act very strangely: no gradual fading, but just at some point they suddenly stop moving and “die” with the same thoughtful-heroic expression. In other words, the drama works well.
Despite the fact that the surprise with the old Batman did not work out, to see Keaton in the image of one of his most memorable characters is very, very pleasant. Michael still wears a mask, despite all his wrinkles. And the charisma, of course, the actor is powerful. It is funny, however, that he has recently appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a villain, and then again Batman, but these are small things, omitted. Continuing with the Batman theme, Affleck is right here, though it doesn’t appear for long. A couple more DC characters got their short but memorable cameos.
But the problem here is, suddenly, with action and graphics. There are practically no fighting scenes in the film that I would like to return to, which would amaze with their scale, originality, elaboration. The directors, as in figure skating, roll back the mandatory program, but there was not enough either ideas, or funds, or time for anything beyond this. Graphics during time travel and does look very doubtful: at the level of computer games a decade ago – and this is not an exaggeration. If this is such a deliberately chosen stylistic technique, then it is clearly unsuccessful.
However, despite all these shortcomings, the film definitely worked. It seems that against the background of the fact that Marvel, having said goodbye to most of its best characters, is experiencing hard times, DC has a chance to leave this decade behind.

The path of the DC Cinematic Universe, sometime in the future, may serve as material for a documentary about how, with huge budgets and time-tested diverse stories and heroes, still suffer failure after failure, but remain steadfast in trying to create a long-lasting franchise. I love DC. His characters have been with me throughout my childhood, and even though I’m not excited about where they are at the box office right now, I believe the best lies ahead. However, today the genre itself is experiencing a very unpleasant period and after a series of projects that disappointed the viewer, the question arises - is it just our fatigue from the superhero and the oversaturation of the market with it or is the problem lies in something else? Well, I'll give you my five cents. Let's get into more detail:
Characters:
Barry Allen / The Flash, Barry Allen / The Flash, Batman and Supergirl:
The tape starts with a reference in its absurdity (in terms of performance) action scene, demonstrating the ability of the Flash. If you close your eyes to the disgusting effects, the moment is a good one, because in addition to entertainment, it provides important information about the world where Barry lives. First, we are shown the intricacies of the system of superhero craft, and what place our main character occupies in it, secondly, the limits of his powers immediately become clear, and what their uniqueness is in general, and thirdly, we see Barry’s reaction to what is happening. Few current blockbusters are able to present the exhibition so deftly and filigreely that the viewer does not fall asleep in the process. In short, Barry Ezra Miller is a sample of a good script and acting skills, which, despite my initial skepticism, managed to please me. A good guy with a personal drama that you sincerely wish for success is what Barry is like. The appearance of his alternate version in the plot gives food for thought to those who did not like the idea of making the Scarlet runner overly expressive. Miller's "extraordinary" pitch, which used to irritate me, is played very competently here. Before us, the interaction of one character of different ages and it was funny to watch as the more mature Barry from the main line was perplexed by the stupidity and curvatures of his past (without context!) and in this contrast, the protagonist looked noticeably older. But it’s all about Michael Keaton’s Batman! I never thought I'd say this about my favorite incarnation of Bruce Wayne and Batman on the big screen, but I wish he wasn't here! Yes, Keaton in a bat suit is still great, but, in fact, he is just a scenery designed to shoot crown phrases and has a couple of episodes in the form of an excuse for being in the frame! If you return old characters, only not in this way! Supergirl, despite all the efforts of Sasha Kalle, due to the small timekeeping does not have time to open. She rushes past the viewer in her blue-red tights, leaving behind only a bitter sediment from the realization of the futility of her presence! I don’t know about the comics, but in my opinion, this particular soloist would benefit from the lack of a ton of obsessive fan service and focusing entirely on the adventures of Barry Allen!
The visual component. It’s hard to imagine that a whopping $200 million worth of computer graphics could be so miserable! Yes, given the production hell in which this product has visited, it is probably not surprising in such a low quality, however, awareness of the behind-the-scenes troubles does not really help when directly viewing the truck. In any case, you have to witness how a lousy molded 3D model for almost two and a half hours running through the same “artificial” locations, meeting other horribly painted 3D models, the imperfection of which the directors did not try to hide the selection of the right angles or playing with a flower blossom, as in the recent “Mortal Kombat” (2021) by Simon McQuoyd, for example, where proper work with light and scenery led not the most outstanding visual series to a completely digestible appearance.
Humor. How many questionable “super” crafts have Warner Bros. released over the past decade, with their shortsighted policy of slashing their own paintings and killing directors’ creativity? How much room for jokes and ridicule did the concept of the multiverse give? How many unrealized ideas and scripts were at the disposal of the authors, and how many existing adaptations of DC comics, with all their known shortcomings in popular culture, could become the basis for situational humor? None of the above is used well here. The whole comedy is built on unfunny primitive buffoonery with constant falls and blows against the wall. Admittedly, it is a shame - so many missed opportunities in favor of meaningless cameos and references, scattered out of place, and having absolutely no value even from the point of view of a nostalgic vibe!
“The Flash” by Andres Muschietti, it seems to me, does not represent the decline of the superhero, but the general inconsistency of the frivolous approach of corporate tycoons to the genre as a whole, because the desperate parasitism on the merits of predecessors gradually ceases to bring income and people demand a slightly more respectful attitude, saying that they are not going to pay for hacking!

This is an extremely strange film with incomprehensible narrative and some plot holes.
The pluses of the film include the cast and how they play their characters. That is, behind all the shackles of the film, which will be discussed below, it is quite easy to forget the fact that Ezra Miller plays two characters with different characters and it looks pretty good. Sasha Kalle is also quite good in the role of supergirl. Michael Keaton is good, too. The soundtrack and effects are quite worthy.
One of the obvious disadvantages is:
1. absolutely disgusting dialogue in the first half of the film. I feel like I wrote them, I don't know, preschooler. It's just a quiet horror, I've caught myself thinking that people don't talk like that even when they're insane.
2. Graphics in speedforce. That is, why this decision was made, in principle, is clear, but could it not be done qualitatively? In the same cyberpunk videos on the game engine look more realistic. Couldn't normal models have been rendered? I just don't understand it.
3. The humor of the first half of the film. I can't name what I saw otherwise. It's the Flash, which is part of the movie is acting like a shaped half-wit, it's a dog that makes faces, it's basically the whole scene with computer kids, and it's not even dolls. And these are the screenwriters who again confuse introverts/autists with feeble-minded.
4. Logical inconsistencies, like, how does Batman know how time travel works? Because he's Batman or where? Why is the cause-and-effect relationship broken in the appearance of Savitar’s character, about which most people are not aware at all, why the hell was he added at all? Why did Zod arrive only now and how did he even know that there was a Kryptonian on Earth (here it must be remembered that he froze the hell knows when, and flew to Earth in a man of steel because he accidentally activated a beacon on a colonial ship on Superman). Without Superman, this ship would have been in the ice, and since Supergirl could not activate the lighthouse, who did it? And these questions become more and more when you try to think about the film a little bit. And this, in fact, all the heaps of the script, which was rewritten a number of times due to various moments.
I’d like to stop here because that’s what I think spoiled Batman v Superman and the Justice League. This is what I would call an attempt to cross a hedgehog. Relatively speaking, there are great cartoons that underlie the DC multiverse. This is The Dark Knight Returns and Justice League: War, which could be a great donor for the sane script of these films. But Zach Snyder decided otherwise and we have what we have.
In this vein, it is completely unclear why the film Flash has absolutely the same picture. That is, there is a great cartoon - Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox. That’s why the main enemy in it is reverse flash, which just knows how time travel works, and then someone in the hell understand what armor, damn who. This character is known only to those who have watched the series from the CW, or who are a fan of comics. Why put supergirl in front of the Russians? To show which USSR is bad or what? Let me remind you that there is an alternative superman who just got to the USSR. He was brought up in the framework of the Soviet ideology, and not locked up somewhere there. But this moment was in the Flashpoint Paradox, only there it was locked in the Americans. I mean, cross it with a hedgehog again. Why does Batman look different and everyone else? From my point of view, it's because in the original script it wasn't Bruce, it was his father, but the idea was dropped. And again with a hedgehog (an old batman, which was Thomas Wayne, who drinks and lives in the mansion).
This is not to say that the film is blatantly bad. There are good moments in it, like scenes in Batman’s cave, scenes where Supergirl makes choices, talks about Krypton and so on. The second half of the film is pretty good. Only the above-described shoals do not cancel. Watching this movie is more sad than fun, because you can see the potential of the picture if things had turned out differently, and the decisions made by the DC and WB bosses were slightly different.
It should have been cancelled, but not cancelled. Why?
"The Flash" is a confusion, leaving viewers with mixed feelings and frustration. I cannot but agree with the view of ridiculous scenes and ridiculous CGI, which unfortunately drowned the film in the world of absurdity.
Let’s start with the technical aspects. CGI in "The Flash" causes bewilderment and ridiculous feelings. It is far from the level of expectations of modern cinematic projects. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering that the film is based on comic books about a superhero requiring high-level special effects.
One of The Flash's biggest problems is its weak and poorly crafted script. The plot seems to have potential, but it is entangled in ridiculous logic and silly decisions of the characters. Viewers get confused instead of engaging and understandable storytelling. The young Flash, unfortunately, overplays and turns out to be unbearably annoying. Perhaps it was intended to create a certain character, but such a move simply begins to act on the nerves of the audience, which is not a good sign for the picture.
There are a huge number of cameos in the film, although some of them are short, and look like homage to the DC films of previous years, and some simply serve to remind that the film is definitely included in the DCEU and it should not be missed.
Also, the theme of the multiverse was poorly disclosed, adding which to one movie was clearly a bad idea. If competitors in the face of Marvel have not yet managed to fully reveal this in 5 or more projects, then DC has one two-hour film and even more so.
"The Flash" failed miserably at the box office, bringing WBD huge losses. Is it deserved? Definitely. The film is a total mess, referring to past DC films and unceremoniously destroying the highly conceptual cinematic universe of Zack Snyder.
The weak script, ridiculous scenes and bad CGI make this film a failed project that would have been better avoided. If you are looking for a quality entertainment movie, then “The Flash” is clearly not the best choice.
Overall, The Flash was an unfinished and disappointing project. Despite some bright moments and good acting, it cannot hide a pile of problems with the plot, characters and tone of the film. As a result, viewers have to turn off their brains and view The Flash as a ridiculous one-night stand. The film is entirely critical and leaves a sense of missed potential and poor cinematic implementation.
So came the solo Flash with Ezra Miller in the title role, which was so waiting for fans of the “Drump” series with Grant Gustin. Despite high expectations, the film was a failure both from the point of view of experts and fans, and there are many reasons for this.
First, those who watched the series “Flash” 2014-2023 I think from the first minutes twisted the plot of the film with a classic flashpoint, so the film as a whole seems long, instead of 2.5 hours you could do 2, so I want to move to the final.
Second, we’re all used to DC movies having their own peculiar “dark” atmosphere, as it was in the films about the dark knight with Christian Bale, the Justice League of Zack Snyder and even the movie Batman v Superman, but Ezra Miller with his chatter and unserious behavior spoiled the whole film. There are a lot of stupid jokes that don’t fit into DC’s ideology. In this film, Ezra Miller is just terrible and personally disgusting, I hope we don’t see him again as Flash and he will be replaced by a normal actor like Grant, although he is already too old for the role.
Thirdly, the cameo of superheroes was pumped up, the problem was that most of them were drawn thanks to CGI, and the whole film was painted especially the scene of the final fight with supergirl, the scene is generally still and looks bad, it seems that the footage from some high-resolution game rather than from a movie with a budget of $ 200 million. The directors of the film probably hoped that the cameo of the actors would shoot, but, unfortunately, it was terrible to watch, was it so difficult to call the actors, I think seeing them live, would be much more epic.
Perhaps the only one who adequately played his role in the film was Michael Keaton, who returned to the role of the dark knight, Batman in his performance turned out to be amazing, probably the scene of fights with his performance - the bright spot of the whole film.
The Flash is a beautiful superhero film, the likes of which has not been released since Avengers: Endgame. And it is not in the heartfelt for children of the 80s and 90s references. In this film you will not find a large number of blacks, representatives of various kinds of minorities and pompous pathos. And it's not that it's all bad, it's just that we're fed up with it. And a good adaptation of such a significant event as the transfer to the screens of one of the best DC comics, as well as the restart of the failed Snyder Cinematic Universe, could not look better on a limited budget. Of the claims that you could make, if you are not a fan of inclusivity, we could talk only about computer graphics. The film turned out to be really necessary - on the one hand, it perfectly talks about serious things from the category of bitterness of loss and attempts to correct what can not be corrected, and on the other hand - it presents it in such a humorous and easy manner, which was not characteristic of any previous film of the cinema universe.
The Flash is DC’s best film to date, after Nolan’s work. Just because he maintains the same line: if the Nolan Dark Knight was an ordinary man in the middle of a bacchanalia with which a superman can hardly fight, then the Flash in this film is a superman who struggles with difficulty with the most human - the bitterness of losing relatives. I don’t know how to make movies better, and I’m not going to be an avid film critic. But the underappreciation of The Flash only suggests that we have entered an era of film acceptance, where inclusivity is more important than context, the story of the character and the plot as a whole. If you share this trend, you will not like it. If not, take your tickets without embarrassment.
It would seem that it is time for DS to understand that it is not necessary to do as they do. There is no need to marinate a movie in production hell. You do not need to keep up with trends and redesign an existing product to please them. You do not need to constantly cut the already ready and reassemble it, like a Lego designer in the hope of the best result. It would seem. ..
But on the DS films, this feeling, there is a curse, and the Flash is another confirmation of this.
The first thing that catches your eye is the monstrous level of graphics. In a long-term blockbuster with a budget of $ 200 million! Honestly, my eyes almost began to flow from what an incomprehensible video sequence local craftsmen built on the computer. I do not know how such a disgrace could be released on screens. And - well, we all know that this tape is from the already dead, or rather killed movie universe, that it is an unwanted fruit of the past, which tried to degenerate and forget faster. But, damn it, does James Gunn not understand that such crooked crafts negatively affect the image of the entire DS movie universe? And after all, at its helm is now a man who just recently created a third 'b'. The Guardians of the Galaxy is a visual feast. But - no, in the "Flash" even a fraction of this did not bring. On the contrary, we tried to invent an outright fake, where almost a third of the film is full of the purest hacking of graphic artists, and the technology of deepface, such a feeling, became even worse than in the days of the mustache epic of Superman.
Then more. It would seem that the authors had a lot of time to think through the plot, to prescribe a clear story, to build links and denouements, especially since the chosen theme has already been chewed many times in comics. But no. Scenario before us another monster of Frankenstein, came out from under the pen of those who, it would seem, should have already been burned enough on all sorts of "Suicide Squads", "BPS" and the ever-memorable "Justice League". And yet with the Flash, they again managed to fly on the same rake. And yes, the box office failure of this film is not only fully explainable, but absolutely justified. I wouldn’t be surprised if after a while we see a fan howl about the release of the “director’s version”.
The question is whether this is possible, given the worthless stilted plot, trying to parasitize the ideas of the main competitors from Marvel with their triquel Spider-Man, slightly more than completely built on the pattern proposed by Sam Raimi, but not realized even a third of its potential. Honestly, I don't mind fan service at all. I like it when someone from the old guard is brought back to a movie like this or they show respect for previous movies in the universe. But you can not do it thoughtlessly and hope that the fans are already scavenging.
I am silent about the fact that such a number of references, designed to show the authors’ respect for the history of the franchise, somehow does not fight with the fact that these same authors are diligently trying to exclude everything related to Snydervors from the film. Was it really so difficult to invite Henry Cavill to the film instead of showing Superman as a silhouette? Was it so hard to get Barry back in the role of Billy Crudup? Why not finally put a reference to the main Flash of modernity from Sidab in the film, especially since Ezra Miller also appeared in this series? But - no, let's better make a disgusting quality computer model Nicholas Cage, who 100 years ago auditioned for the role of Soups. Fans will. Yeah.
And separately insulting for Ben Affleck, Jason Momow and, especially for Gal Gadot, which is the second film acts as a stupid fan service lining, the task of which is just to appear in the cinema for a few seconds, to implement some not the most adequate joke.
By the way, the "Flash" is literally full of them. Authors are constantly trying to laugh and play tricks, putting their characters in ridiculous circumstances, or putting some stupid nonsense into their mouths, which, apparently, is supposed to be funny, but de facto in most cases is simply inappropriate. Yes, in "Justice League" Flash played the role of a kind of local buffoon, but there he was in the second roles and this, although strained, but did not overshadow the rest of the story. In the same solo, the plot of which should be tragic and gloomy in general, an absolutely inappropriate amount of clowning deprives everything that is happening of at least some seriousness, and then meaning, after which the film becomes similar to the same Shazam. That's only in "Shazam" all this was laid originally and looks relative to the place, and in "Flash" ... the tail of the mare did not come.
And yes, that's the story. So here's the final chord of the so-called Snydervers. A film that was advertised as dotting the 'e'. A film that was supposed to close all the gestalts of the old cinematic universe, restart it, open the way for the multiverse and restart DS from James Gunn. Where? Where is all this? Hell, where's any of this? Is it a droplet?
But there is nothing like this in the Flash. Yes, we for some reason pushed the return of Batman from Michael Keaton, showed the multiverse with the help of several variants of different characters, such as the same Bats, Soups and the Flash... That's it. There is no explanation for how it should work. Ridiculous Batman murmuring about how the local timeline works... again, why would he even know anything about it? A preposterous introduction to Kara Zor-El's picture with Superman backdrinking. The villain's worthless return from Man of Steel. And the stupidest denouement of all this stuffed ideas in the final ... I wanted to write a twist, but it’s not even a twist.
That's it.
As a result, we got some ridiculous and worthless, absolutely toothless, parasitic on fan service, devoid of internal logic and at least some clear ideas, a completely mediocre filmmaker. Not a swan song from the old DS universe. It's not a Hamburg score final. The Shining Gate to Gunn's New Worlds. Nope.
The film "The Flash", is a strange degenerate sewn from patches of ideas and trends, riveted with the back left paw of frank poachers product generated by professional. unfit studio managers. Another ridiculous run on rakes performed by DS. It's a shame, honestly.
