Give up hope, everyone. . . I came across this movie by accident. Just one person mentioning the universe of Warhammer 40K and its inherent atmosphere of grimdark and hopelessness, gave an example of this film. Like, this is the whole essence of the Imperial Guard and the Imperium in general (now it does not matter whether you are in the sabja or not, this is just an introduction).
Intrigued, on the same day I found and watched this masterpiece.
The film struck with its atmosphere. Eternal cold, fog, dampness, and later snow only strengthen the already oppressive environment.
It's really great. I, spoiled by the special effects of the viewer, was amazed by every frame. Especially the scene with ' legionnaires'... to goosebumps. Very creepy sight. For some reason believe from the beginning to the end, there is no sense of exaggeration (as is often the case in a movie about red commissars-man-eating) reality. The actors are so used to the images that it seems that they have lived everything that happens in the picture, in fact.
I have seen very little Italian cinema (mostly Fellini, Celentano and Benigni), the more I was struck by this film. I had a similar feeling after watching the film ' When the fanfare is silent' but it is much stronger. The film is indeed (in my humble opinion) Great, and the more surprising is the fact that it is little known.
All fans of the film about PMV, as well as fans of Varhammer (yes, nerds...) is definitely required to watch.
