Beginning: The task of Kobol Engineering "All means are good in war." Following this principle, filmmakers come up with more and more sophisticated ways to promote their products. After all, the days when the audience purposefully went to look at the star have already passed. And the viewer has already realized that not every spectacular trailer and an abundance of no less spectacular TV videos can provide no less spectacular project. At this milestone began the fashion of short or full-length prequels, which are part of the blues and DVD discs. If such a trick began to exploit the creators of Assasin’s Creed, Dead Space and other games, then such a branch entered the cinema not long ago. So this project is nothing more than a mini advertising of products, which the creators willingly issued for a short prequel.
Funny, but perhaps the absence of the creators of the full-length blockbuster in the ranks of the creators of this tape and played with the project in a cruel joke. Because the job was pretty mediocre. As a child who grew up under the influence of Western culture as a child and for whom comic books have long won the title of literature, I can safely say that the storyboard is simply magnificent. Everything is like a really colorful and high-quality comic book. But I believe that such a project is alien to both the comic illustration and the short meter, which obviously loses all the saturation of the overall concept.
If there were more playable voiceovers for each character, the work would probably be better. In this case, you're just watching some kind of movie. From here, I personally don’t see any directing contribution from Ian Kirby. Except that he chose where and what picture to insert. It is funny, but other works of Yen sin the same flaw. Against this background, it is difficult to perceive this work in conjunction with the work of Christopher Nolan. If you consider it as an independent product, then you feel the ideological and dynamic that make you look at the work to the end, and not abandon this lost business after a few minutes.
That’s why I love Christopher Nolan’s work, because he’s one of the few people who tries to give a strong script even in a commercial blockbuster. Hence, it is not surprising that despite the whole veil of secrecy and a complex topic, he always answers all audience questions in his works. Not that Ridley Scott and his Prometheus, who didn’t even answer half the audience’s questions and at the same time created a lot more. Therefore, I personally believe that the need for this project disappears immediately. For in the film, the idea is revealed and the idea of showing what confronted the main characters with the character of Ken Watanabe is of little interest.
However, the work is saved by a really interesting idea raised by Nolan. That once again develops the plot in the framework of "realistic dream" and attempts to steal the necessary information from the consciousness of the subject. The plot is not well developed and dense. It’s a kind of primitivism.
It cannot be said that the great composer Hans Zimmer created fresh music for this work. Rather, the short film Ian Kirby willingly uses the best sounds that Hans gave out in the film. If the film is flawed, then Zimmer’s work has not become less posh. You can't ruin butter porridge, can you? The work is still impressively dynamic, spectacular and spectacular due to the luxurious combination of a symphony orchestra with electronics. A masterpiece.

It is quite raw and obvious that the work is fast-paced, against which the original film by Christopher Nolan appears in an even more ingenious form. However, if you are a fan of the original tape, then I think it is worth a look.
