Restaurant The German comedy “Spiritual Kitchen” is permeated with the spirit of European cinema, which gives both bright and at the same time easy to catch, a difference from American humor. Although, to confess, in the Hollywood version of the story about a small restaurant, where the tax office with the San Epidem Inspectorate looks every now and then - it would certainly turn out to be quite funny and funny. German humor is very different from both British and American, but is presented in the form of very diverse jokes relating to all aspects of the life of the protagonist, from health and love to business and friends.
Listing all the funny events happening with the main character does not make sense, it is better to see with your own eyes. The film does not load any mysterious intrigue, but this linearity and predictability give it ease of perception when watching, clearly expressed types of the main characters help to penetrate the whole story, when it is clear who is a friend and who is a villain to the last drop.
In a good contrast, the video throws from luxury into street life, demonstrating one against the background of another. A rich restaurant and a small cafe, a wonderful mansion and a small apartment, unsanitary and state-of-the-art facilities, businessmen and thieves - all alternate in the right doses and sometimes even interchangeable, depending on financial success and prosperity.
Not deprived of the whole story and romance, at once two love lines take place and each of them develops in a special way, winning the audience interest. Although there is no emphasis on romance in the film, paying more attention to other aspects of the action, and yet sometimes it is the values of love and mutual understanding between lovers that come out ahead of everything else.
Humor is heterogeneous and ranges from the classic “funny as his back hurts” to the level below the belt where in eroticism and vulgarity there are expressions in the spirit of “you just fucked the tax office!”, said after an orgy with aphrodisiacs. There is no focus on just one thing and this to some extent facilitates perception, because what is funny to one is not necessarily funny to another, and the scattering in the categories of humor, both verbal and comedy situations, helps the film to achieve the desired effect. And it should be noted that the very number of jokes here is growing, and if even by the middle of the film barely appear smiles, then the closer to the final, the more loudly heard in the hall laughter and the more often it repeats.
The film in principle can not boast of world-famous stars, except that the small presence of Udo Keir, whom art house fans know from the films of Lars von Trier “Dogville”, “Manderley” and “Dancing in the Dark”, and horror lovers probably remember in “Mother of Tears”, “Halloween Rob Zombie” and “Fear.com”. But despite the little-known actors, the characters came out accessible to understanding and especially bright. For these characters you worry, worry, wish a pleasant ending, so that in this film-restaurant at the end served a delicious dessert, not only the ticket bill and time spent watching. And the film manages to put everything in its place literally in minutes, so as not to leave the viewer disappointed. The comedy was a success, and it's as soulful as the kitchen itself. It’s the way they say it’s done with love.
