Moritz J. Bleibtreu. He was born in 1971 in Munich. For three years he mastered acting in Paris, Rome and New York. At the age of 21, he played on the stage in the plays Romeo and Juliet (Hamburg House of Actors) and Richard III (Thalia Theatre). Two years later, Maurice once again proved his acting talent, starring in the crime-comedy film Thomas Ian “Knocking to Heaven” (1997). But the real glory was waiting for the actor after the release of “Run, Lola, Run” (1998) directed by Tom Tykwer, which became the most popular German film of the last decade of the outgoing century.
