"We are six billion single people" R. Bulatov Lonely writer Melvin, at first glance, hates everyone and is suspicious of everything. One day he is literally handed Verdella (a cute dog of a neighbor on the landing). Melvin becomes attached to him and tears even come to his eyes when he learns that it is time to part with the dog ... - it becomes clear that Melvin needed the mask only because he is afraid to become attached and then lose, and therefore he pushes everyone away from himself. But with Verdell's help, he realizes something very important - that this sense of affection, of love, is beautiful, and that even the fear of loss cannot numb those feelings. Everything in life that he used to cherish - solitude, order in everything, purity lose meaning for him. As he himself describes his condition: The bad thing is not even fatigue, oh my God, emptiness, drowsiness, everything around seems ugly, everything inside hurts. I won’t retell everything – just watch the movie, believe me you will not regret the time spent.
From acting, I especially want to mention Jack Nicholson - his play can not be called a game - the experiences, feelings, fears of his hero are very real. - He's always on top... I also liked the music for the film.
If the film can be called perfect in all respects (script, actors, soundtracks, camera work, etc.), I put 10 points and this masterpiece is no exception, so
10 out of 10
