It’s a very powerful film, despite some of the oddities that any movie made on a game inevitably brings with it. In them it is always felt, the characters not only participate in events, but "pass" them. Compared to other horror films, monsters are more than necessary, and they appear in the frame much earlier, already in the 13th minute, instead of frightening half the film with implicit hints of its presence. But all this is not a minus, it is a division into a special genre. By the way, the film is not particularly scary, instead of fear, there are at least two ideas, unexpectedly correct and moralizing. The first idea is that the root of evil is not in monsters, it is only the second round of evil, the origins of which were people with their fears, the elite complex, the thirst for power and excessive zeal for justice. The second idea is expressed in the direct text - "For a child, the mother is like God." Both are thoughts that are not harmful to take from the cinema into life, and this exceeds what we expect from a horror movie. In general, everything in the film is gorgeous: the design of monsters, great music, the type of characters, and especially the fact that the heroine in the end acts on the side of monsters, because they were not so bad. The only drawback for me, although probably subjective, is that at the end of the heroine did not come home for real. Because, of course, they died in a car accident at the beginning.
