Despite the obvious defiance of her unit and a cynical superior who doesn’t make her job any easier, she is determined to turn her so-called weaknesses into strengths, solving the most complex cases with her common sense, her acute observation and her practical nature seasoned by a busy daily routine. Only Candice can catch a killer because she knows the chemical composition of a window-cleaning product or determine the hour of a murder from the cooking-time of kebabs… Candice is only naive on the outside, and nobody can resist her!

The French series that many praise is Candice Renoir (2013 - ...), now available for 10 seasons. Many people consider this series so-called female, but I saw that many men praise it. So, this is another detective series, the main character of which, as it often happens in this kind of series, is a very unusual woman for this type of work. At first, she was about 40, had four children, despite which she left her husband, accusing him of treason, and she returned to the police after a ten-year break, during which she moved with her husband from country to country and was engaged in raising children. She used to work in Paris, was a very successful police officer, so she was reinstated at work, but was sent to the city of Seth in the south of France, which is known to be a favorite city of Brassance, in which he bequeathed himself to be buried. In the precinct, she was initially met not very friendly - firstly, this place was counted on by the local employee Antoine, and secondly, her appearance and behavior did not inspire much sympathy in such an institution - she was a typical plump blonde, dressing in outfits characteristic of such blondes, but not for police officers. However, she gradually proved that despite all her extravagance, she still remained a good police officer and her non-standard methods are very successful in solving crimes. Throughout these many series, we observe her work, as well as her personal life and all kinds of problems that she often creates for herself, and the personal lives of her employees are not left out. The French are French, they are very emotional and sensual. Many things happen to them, work is closely intertwined with personal life. Well, what I can say about this series - if I had not now such a mood and condition caused by personal problems, I would hardly watch it, but now I watched. Actress Cecile Bois in the role of Candice, of course, is suitable for this image, but the image sometimes becomes openly anecdotal, and sometimes her actions cause rejection, of course, we are all imperfect. Sometimes, as I think, they still go overboard with her entourage, she is not the last fool, but all her attributes - her outfits and even pink binoculars in a woman over 40, look like an idiot, and she should understand this. It may be that way that the audience gets upset. In general, this is a frivolous detective with elements of anecdote and shocking, but you can see it. Interestingly, her children throughout the series play the same children, by the end become quite adults.

Perhaps their strikingly different personalities make the relationship between detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles so effective. Jane, the only female cop in Boston's homicide division, is tough, relentless and rarely lets her guard down, while the impeccably dressed Maura displays a sometimes icy temperament — she is, after all, more comfortable among the dead than the living. Together, the best friends have forged a quirky and supportive relationship; they drop the protective shield in each other's company, and combine their expertise to solve Boston's most complex cases. close
