Little girls are sugar and spice...and everything vice
Perhaps their strikingly different personalities make the relationship between detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles so effective. Jane, the only female cop in Boston's homicide division, is tough, relentless and rarely lets her guard down, while the impeccably dressed Maura displays a sometimes icy temperament — she is, after all, more comfortable among the dead than the living. Together, the best friends have forged a quirky and supportive relationship; they drop the protective shield in each other's company, and combine their expertise to solve Boston's most complex cases.
Rizzoli and Isles is a great, interesting series. Great actresses Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander. And a very resounding memorable name that some weirdos came up with to change to the stupid word "partners." This name is zero, and it's not attractive. Very stupid, to put it mildly.

Kingu - the source of the film adaptation - did not read and consider the series solely as a series. The main characters are two women, friends and colleagues. That's a great idea, I thought. I saw it. There is no real friendship between them, all cardboard. The detective component is weak, too. The episodes with the maniac Surgeon and several others were interesting, but mostly all faceless and uninteresting. Removed even hints of topical themes to the series was “fun and family”. The Rizzoli family is responsible for the fun and family and it looks terribly tense. There is no science as such, especially anatomy. Good for Desperate Housewives fans. Those who like "Bones" will appreciate from average and below.
