I liked the movie. Strong movie. I am very surprised by some critics who are attached to the words of Zoe, when she, exhausted, explains to Kolobova, specifically Kolobova, not to us, the audience, why she endures torture, but does not give up. Kolobov does not need loud words about his homeland. And Zoya talks about the tram, about the bun that her mother baked before the war, about her brother, about pre-war happiness. I think it's a great episode. But at the hour when the last grenade is already carried in your hand, and in a short moment it is necessary to recall at once about everything that is left in the distance, you remember not a big country, which you traveled and learned - you remember the Motherland, such as you saw it in childhood. A piece of land that fell to three birch trees, a distant road behind a line, a river with creaky transportation, a sandy shore with low willow... But these three birches cannot be given to anyone in life. This tram, this bun, this brother's future can't be given to anyone. Didn't you like the torture? Don’t forget what Zoe has experienced. The episodes are shown in such a way that you feel the pain that Zoe is suffering. Her face, her eyes. From these episodes, hatred flares up for the beastly fascist muzzles. To this polished Fritz, posing as belonging to the race of superhumans, but in fact - subhuman, inhuman, the same beast as all these beasts clapping their hands.
Strong movie.
