1) Theme. The theme of the film is death and all associated with it, a rather risky choice. There are, of course, amazing comedies in the theme, for example, “Death at a funeral”, unfortunately, this is not the case. In the New Year's Eve;
2) Does it look like "Bachelors" I wondered after I started watching? And yes and no. The plot of history is close to this, the denouement will put everything in its place. Must be funny (and it was funny in "Bachelors"), the film just was, did not embellish the film, but did not make it worse;
(3) Two men lying in the same bed, in the frame only two heads and the conversation about who went to bed yesterday (the very beginning of the film, the episode is completely in the video) contains a joke (!), but so remove (no longer funny). There are many such moments in the film.
(4) Protracted dialogue. Of course, I understand that long stories are more qualitative in content and carry more semantic humor, but in the film, in my opinion, too much. Stories are punctuated with jokes (to attract interest in the narrative), but they are not catchy. As a result, it is difficult to force yourself to wait for the end of the humorous episode in the film.
(5) One character suggested, another did not hear him, the third took everything at face value, in the end everything is in error, only one character knows the truth, he is treated with his own speculations and lasts all 5 minutes (so it seems, because to follow, right, not interesting). It's not funny. So, of course, it happens in life and the number of people who believe in lies adds allegory, unfortunately, does not cause a smile, on the contrary, I want to say: “Yes, listen carefully, finally!”;
(6) Characters of the film (their collective images):
- cop - policeman - stupid, drinker, bribe-taker, cowardly, in general all negative sides;
- excellent - lives abroad, misses his homeland, a Jew, with money, wants to marry a prostitute;
- a prostitute - drinks, from Ukraine (emphasis appropriate), dreams of marrying an excellent student.
What characters, such a humor, at the level of anecdotes, did not catch.
7) Matt. Comedy club, of course, there is no patent for the use of mat, and it can be used by any citizen (and uses), mate is almost always funny, but you can not go out on it alone, again a comparison with anecdotes comes to mind;
(8) And, of course, vodka, which is the cheapest (seen by the bottle), can refer to Soviet times. And yes, if they watch this film abroad, all doubts about stereotypes will be dispelled - Russians drink, on occasion and without reason, well, as much as possible!
(9) Rabbit. The strangest character in the movie. It has an indirect relation to the plot, should add humor and make you smile when there is nothing to smile. He doesn't. I don’t know why it’s needed in the film.
To sum up, the film did not impress me. I consider it to be one of those examples of Russian cinema that has become obsolete. Such a film will not bring our cinema out of the peak.
