Season two The second season was no worse than the first. It is also divided into two arches, and this time both shot on the manga, without a cut (although deviations from the original plot of the first season did not spoil at all).
In the first, the conflict between Bishamon and Yato goes into a “hot” phase due to the intrigues of some characters. The viewer will learn a lot about the goddess of war, including the background of her quarrel with the Homeless God (not a simple background at all). As a result, it turned out an instructive story about how good, in general, personalities (not to call the gods people) made enemies of misunderstanding and lies of others. This arch is worth criticizing for one feature: the characters here began to show a particularly nucleus martsyushny, especially for Yukine and Kazuma. It is clear that the “homeless god” is a “good” shonen, where only minor or negative characters die, and that is very rare, but still the characters are too coolly protected by the author’s arbitrariness, and this is striking.
In the second arch, the world of the “Homeless God” is revealed deeper: more celestials enter the arena, and the action covers both Heaven and Hell. In addition, the viewer will have to learn another terrible secret Yato. In many ways, this is a story about the god Ebisu - an ambiguous character, which seems at first glance a soulless businessman and an insidious adventurer. They and Yato will have to go through a severe test together, during which their relationship will change from enmity and distrust to true friendship (just like the characters of a Western ... or a samurai film).
“Homeless God” still “takes to life”, forcing to worry for the heroes. The happiness of the characters is shaky, because Hiyori and her otherworldly friends are fundamentally different beings from different “planes of being”, and it is so easy for them to lose each other. In addition, the supernatural world in which the gods and their sacred tools live is full of dangers and intrigues. After each lull there is a storm.
Separately, it should be noted bonus series, which are an excellent humorous addition to the main plot and will lift the mood of any fan of the series.
The second “homeless god” did not lower the bar of quality. It is a pity that three years have passed, and the third season has not yet been seen.
