Censored zombies, took over the world Sooner or later, the end of the world will happen, television, the Internet, radio will disappear, people will no longer learn to write and read, but the topic of zombies will always be popular and in demand.
So in Hollywood it was understood, zombie themes there are rare, George "Our All" Romero is far from this area in Los Angeles, and without him, a zombie movie is not a zombie movie.
Of course, this is not quite the case, and Dani Boyle, and Zach Snyder, and Paul Andersen applied to this topic, and almost all of them zombies run like Olympic athletes with an enema of turpentine and three liters of Adrenaline in their blood.
Mark Forster, wishing to stay in the trend, made his zombies even stronger and faster, in general, after “Return of the Living Dead 2” and “Heat of Our Bodies”, the image of zombies here is the most distorted and spoiled – they run on walls, flocks sweep everything in their path (cars, small buildings, people and animals). In addition, censorship got to the movies about the living dead forbade to “decorate” the bodies of zombies with huge wounds, severed limbs, bloody makeup, here the crowd put only white lenses on the eyes and distinguish corpses from people is terribly difficult, besides zombies close-up show here only a couple of times.
Another strange thing here, the fact that the zombies here ignore some people at all, is also the end of the film. The goal of the main character is also not clear, he stupidly flies on a plane around the world and chats with people. He has already worked for the United Nations.
Separately, the appearance of the picture should be mentioned, since this is the strongest side of the film, behind the practical lack of meaning and the absence of canonical zombies, only the picture and epic nature of what is happening stand out. Recall 2004, when Zack Snyder remake Dawn of the Dead came out, this film is still considered the best modern zombie film, despite the fact that they are here too fast. Let’s remember the thousands of zombies that were there, a couple of scenes shot from a helicopter, if this film was shot with the technology used by Mark Forester, it would be the film of the year and would win the Oscar.
Here the picture is delightful, the scale and feeling of the apocalypse is felt from the first frames, the number of zombies here is in the millions, and what they do and not at all convey words. The coolest scene here when Brad Pete flew to the Jews, it's just super, and without watching the film, you will miss a lot of sensations and impressions. but the main problem of the film is that it is focused on... children, yes, the film was shot primarily for the children of Brad Pete and this is such a strict censorship.
In the end, just like Warm Our Bodies, zombies are convention. This picture is better perceived as a fantastic action movie and nothing more.
