No, I don't think the movie is bad because it's a zombie drama. Some people are used to the idea that if you're a zombie, it's got to be urinary, and he's not here, so they give bad grades. The thing is that there is nothing in this film, it is boring even by the standards of drama, absolutely nothing happens in it. In the beginning we are told that the girl is doomed, and in the end she naturally dies. What are we looking for? The film is made very simple and looks like it is not an American film, but some Czech, Polish or German, reminiscent of the films “Let Me In”, “White God”, “Tail” – all these are cheap leisurely arthouses. The attempt of filmmakers to shoot not a rabid action movie, but something so modest and everyday is commendable, I noticed and appreciated that the guys tried. But they failed. They kind of ask "What should be done with the deadly infected?" and give a cutely feeble-minded answer: "Send everyone home." Of course, toss it all down to national security, let the contagion spread in a chain reaction! In addition, a successful zombie drama is already there, called “Returned”, there the woman kept the infected husband on the antidote, and it gradually ended – there it was strong and touching. There's no way.
Well, about Schwarzenegger - when tough guys get old, they have a desire to star in some inexpensive quiet film depicting their old age beautifully. Clint Eastwood has a movie like Gran Torino, so Schwartz has his own.
