Purpose or method The big question is, can this world be made better? Who can do that? What is more important: the goal or the method? A question of philosophy, a question of morality. They say, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
Anime "Death Note" is a gorgeous work, perhaps the best of what I have seen. No wonder it was recognized as a “classic” in its kind. The plot is stunningly fascinating, the tactical moves of the heroes are worthy of Kasparov, the drawing is detailed, high-quality. Separately, I would like to note musical themes that are selected so accurately and clearly that they best complement the picture; create not only an atmosphere, but even a mood!
The main characters - El and Kira - are not so much characters as symbols of different worldviews. Their positions and actions are diametrically opposed; the analytical mindset of both allows them to fight as equals, emphasizing the “common principle”. Everyone knows that there is only one left in the end, but the relationship line of these best enemies gives a ray of hope for the future. One does not exist without the other, because darkness is inseparable from light.
Indifferent viewers cannot remain. Everyone will join one of the camps.
A worthy thing: about life, about choice, about purpose, about meaning, about an idea.
From myself I add: I highly recommend watching even those who are usually cold to anime. It is worth seeing, it is worth knowing, and most importantly – it is worth thinking about!
