Colin Egglesfield was born on February 9, 1973 in Dearborn, Michigan. He was the second child of William and Kathleen Egglesfield. He has an older sister Kerry and a younger brother Sean. When Colin was ten years old, the family moved to Crete, a small town near Chicago. Colin grew up a quiet, modest boy, collected models of aircraft and dreamed of devoting his life to physics. But then he became interested in the film world, and since his sister was directly involved in this profession, he began to observe her career. After high school, Egglesfield entered the University of Iowa. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in medical sciences, Colin went to hitchhike across Europe.
While still studying at medical school, Egglesfield began working as a model to earn money for training. He won a beauty contest and worked with Beatrice Model in Milan and DNA Model Management in New York. In addition, he represented Versace, Calvin Klein, Armani and many other famous brands. In November 2005, People magazine included Colin in its list of the sexiest men in the world.
Colin’s film career began with participation in the series Law and Order: Special Building, Street, Gilmore Girls, Enchanted, Body Parts. Since 2005, Colin began playing the role of Dr. Madden in the salad All My Children, and since the fall of 2009 - one of the main roles of chef Auggie in the series Melrose Place.
