The movie, for the most part, is protracted and dull, only the last 30 minutes somehow stretch the narrative.
But the main thing, regarding the essence of what is happening, is that all the heroism of the CIA agent, the whole cunning operation to save 6 diplomats, could have been avoided if the Americans themselves had not turned things up in Iran in the 1950-1980 years (therefore, the whole film did not leave the feeling that the characters of the picture are not at all sorry), which they are still doing.
In short, what they fought for was what they ran into.
And therefore, it is not clear why there to give three Oscars, but, since the award has long been a known political character, there is nothing to be surprised at.
And so, American duplicity and “American-style democracy” are perfectly demonstrated. It is worth seeing those who still harbor illusions about this.
