A powerful high-quality cartoon that has never broken the high standards of its genre. Beautiful, fascinating, funny, dramatic. Disclosed characters, a good connection with the original part. I can’t name a single extra scene or character – everything that appeared in the frame, everything went into action. I especially liked the image of the decanche – a harsh, superior, arrogant, and yet not lost the ability to be surprised by something and admit their wrongness. The scene with the scare of adults was simply chic and looked like it was cut out of a full-grown horror movie, which was especially pleased.
But on the downsides:
It is shown how two heroes meet here. But the original cartoon said they were familiar from kindergarten. Yes, I have already heard the authors explain that they deliberately went into this contradiction to add more dynamics, but I know how to sit on two chairs. It was possible to make the characters familiar in the garden, and then did not see each other for many years and were forced to meet again!
- Why isn't little round Mike scary and everyone else scary? They are all equally ridiculous and similar to creatures from the game Spore. But finding any of them under my bed is the last thing I would want as a kid.
- In the end, the decanche says that she can no longer help the heroes, despite their success. But their whole problem is her. The only thing she has to save them from is her own decision to kick them out. Well, they would say that now her tail is held by some commission or cops.
According to other reviews, I saw that many were waiting for a children's laughingstock and did not get it, the cartoon turned out to be more mature than the first part. I liked him as an adult, and how I would look at him as a child, I will never know.
