Andy Wachowski (born Andrew Paul Wachowski) was born on December 29, 1967. His name is inseparable from Larry Wachowski’s older brother. Dropped out of the university brothers, “under-educated” are considered the main mystery of Hollywood. During the entire period of their work, they gave only a few interviews and flatly refuse to shoot for advertising. And they are known primarily as the creators of the famous “Matrix” – a new cultural phenomenon, according to critics, and the most profitable film in recent decades.
The brothers were born in Chicago (USA), in a wealthy family. They attended a school for gifted children, and then dropped out of university and began to paint houses and carpenters. Andy and Larry were considering a breakthrough in Hollywood. The Matrix is the third project. The first scripts for the films “Linked” and “hired killer” were a failure. Warner Brothers agreed to finance their third project and did not fail. Both brothers are extraordinary and unique personalities. A brilliant mind, excellent knowledge of almost everything: from mythology and religion to the latest achievements in science and technology.
They both love Japanese animated films, second-rate movies and comic books. They look original with each other: big, tall Andy Wachowski, a lover of beer and fiction, and sophisticated, quiet Larry, preferring fine restaurants and philosophical treatises. Since 2003, Larry has appeared in public as a woman and began to call himself Lana Wachowski. The brothers have been working together for more than thirty years, and when they have creative differences and crises, they seek advice from their mother, whom they both idolize.
The most famous films written by Andy Wachowski and his brother Larry are The Killers.
Speedy Rider "Invasion,"
"Communication" "V means vendetta,"
"Cloud Atlas" "The Matrix,"
"Matrix 2: Reboot" "The Matrix: Revolution." Both brothers currently live and work in Los Angeles.
