The talented Serbian actor Slavko Stimac was born on October 15, 1960 in the village of Konski Brd, near the city of Gospic, Yugoslavia. His film debut took place at the age of 12. It was a small role of the shepherd Ranko in the film Vuk samotnjak (1972).
After graduating from the drama faculty of the Academy of Tetra, Film, Radio and TV in Belgrade, Slavko began acting actively. A series of works in many popular Yugoslav films of the 1970s and 1980s gave Stimach fame: he created many images of teenagers. However, the type of cute young man had a bad effect on his “adult” career – even when the actor was under thirty, he was still offered semi-childish roles.
Later in the fate of the actor were the paintings “Do You Remember Dolly Bell?” (1981), “On the Way to Katanga” (1987), sensationalized.
"Underground" (1995), the main role in the film “Life as a Miracle” (2004) Emir Kusturica, “Optimists” (2006), “Black Horses” (2007), “Tourne” (2008), “Coriolanus” (2010), “The Enemy” (2011) and many others. It is worth noting that the film "Underground" received the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1995 and became a candidate from Serbia for the Oscar (1995). In parallel with his film career, Slavko Stimac continued his work on the theater scene in Belgrade.
