We released a rating of the most actual films and TV series on IMDb. https://kinonavigator.ru/catalog/films/imdb_actual_movies
https://kinonavigator.ru/catalog/serials/imdb_actual_series it is availble in the right column and in "Movies and TV Series" / "Actual" menu. This rating is calculated based on the dynamics of the number of votes on IMDb. At the same time, it includes both new films that are quickly gaining popularity, as well as old films that, for some reason, have seen a surge in interest. Sometimes you can understand why - say, interest in the old film "Road House" is fueled by the recent release of a remake. But I don’t know what the recent increased interest in the film The Lobster and the work of Guy Ritchie is connected with... And India (the main distortion of IMDB) got there a little too. I thought about filtering it on purpose, but it turned out that it was. in general, it’s not necessary - the vast majority of these Indian masterpieces are simply not in our catalog :) and what remains can be easily filtered by banning India. However, not everything in this ranking has a high IMDB rating. It was also possible to include it in the calculation, and raise films that not only quickly gain ratings, but are also rated well, but we have not yet done this.
