On 17 October 2005, CBS gave other countries the chance to franchise The Amazing Race. The Asian cable TV network AXN Asia was among the first to acquire the rights to produce a version for its territories. The show is produced by Australian television production company ActiveTV, for AXN, in association with Buena Vista International Television-Asia Pacific. The host for the show is Singapore based Chinese-American actor Allan Wu.
The ultimate prize is US$100,000, whilst the American show gives away US$1,000,000. The general manager of SPE Networks-Asia which runs AXN, Ricky Ow explained the smaller prize, saying, "It is not really about the money but the adventure and opportunity to be in one of the world's greatest reality shows". close

Survivor Philippines is the Philippine version of the television series Survivor, which was originally based from the show, Expedition Robinson created in 1997 by Charlie Parsons. The series premiered on September 15, 2008 on GMA Network. The show is currently hosted by Richard Gutierrez. The first two seasons were hosted by Paolo Bediones. Like many of its counterparts, the show has a set number of contestants stranded on an isolated area for a pre-determined number of days until one remains and is given the title Pinoy Sole Survivor. Aside from the title, the winner also receives P3,000,000, the largest ever cash prize in the history of Philippine reality game shows.
The show's tagline is "Pautakan, Pagalingan, Patatagan", the Filipino translation of the US version's "Outwit, Outplay, Outlast". The show, in general, refers their fans as a "Katribo", which means "tribemate" in English. close

On March, 2010, a Chinese version of the show was announced by the Disney-ABC International Television Asia Pacific. The show was produced by Shanghai based international production company Fly Films; the company had previously produced Shanghai Rush in 2009, a showed heavily influenced by The Amazing Race. The first series was filmed in March/April 2010 and broadcast in August 2010 by International Channel of Shanghai. The host for the show is Singapore based Chinese-American actor Allan Wu, who was also the host of The Amazing Race Asia.
For the second season, it was announced that DragonTV would broadcast the Chinese-language version of the show. close

As long a the sun rises in the East, we will begin Stardom shows with rookies and youngsters. This show is no different, as Hiromi Mimura and Konami join the rookies and children in battle. I continue to be sad that Konami hasn't found a real place in Stardom yet, she is much better than this, but it is what it is. Hanan is the best child on the roster but all have shown flashes of ability and could turn into real stars if they continue wrestling the next few years. close
