The works collected specifically for this exhibition from almost all continents of the world cover the entire period of the mysterious and sometimes controversial painter.
About 50 portraits were presented at the exhibition, including portraits of his permanent model, wife Suzanne Leenhoff, and celebrities of the time - Antonin Proust, Emil Zola, Stefan Mallarme. In all the works presented at the exhibition, the artist can be traced an innovative and ahead of its time approach to painting portraits.
