The documentary Golden Globe. United Arab Emirates. Luxury in the Desert tells the story of a country that in a matter of decades managed to make a giant economic breakthrough.
After the richest deposits of oil were discovered in the desert in the 1960s, powerful skyscrapers quickly grew among the sands, and camel trails turned into landscaped freeways. Now the calling card of the Emirates have become grandiose projects for simply colossal sums: the artificial islands of Palm Islands, the fashionable district of Dubai Marina and, finally, the most luxurious hotel “Burj al Arab”. close

The romantic landscapes and ubiquitous aura of mystery of Scotland once inspired poets and artists of the Romantic era, and now fascinate tourists. We will begin our journey through this delightful country in Edinburgh, which is not accidentally called “Athens of the North”. Further, the road leads us through the Bay of Forth and the Battlefield of Bannockburn to the deserted Trossax and to the largest lake in Scotland - Loch Lomond. Desert heath fields, picturesque mountains and medieval castles rising on the rocks are typical paintings of the Highland. Ancient Celtic legends and songs about heroic warriors come to life during the Highland Game - unusual sports, during which local strongmen to the accompaniment of bagpipes compete in such disciplines as hammer twisting and tug of war. In the heart of Scotland we will get acquainted with its most important symbols: the Scottish cage, bagpipes, clan traditions and the game of golf. In addition, we will step by step follow the production of the national drink - whiskey. On the way to the north, we will have the opportunity to see magnificent medieval castles, with which intriguing legends are associated. The quintessence of Scottish romance is the harsh landscapes of the Hebrides archipelago, the ultimate goal of our journey. close

Prague is called the “Golden City”, “Mother of all cities”, “Magic City” – there is no shadow of exaggeration in these epithets. There are few such metropolises in the world, where so many priceless treasures of architecture of all epochs - from the Middle Ages to the present - would be preserved in such a small area. Prague was not spared by historical storms: the uprising of the Hussites against the viceroys of the emperor, which became the cause of the Thirty Years' War; the defeat of the Protestants at the White Mountain; the uprising in 1848; world wars; the invasion of troops of the Warsaw Pact countries ... Hundreds of towers, imperial palaces and cobbled streets, however, survived all the cataclysms, and with them survived the main thing - the unique atmosphere that you feel in all the picturesque corners of this city. During a walk in Prague, the most beautiful of them are waiting for us: Vyšehrad, Tynsky Church, Charles Bridge, Hradchany, Old Town Market, the Jewish quarter of Josefovo, Wenceslas Square - and much more. . close

Turkey... It is here that one of the world’s oldest civilizations begins. It is a region with an unusually rich and turbulent history, ruled by the Byzantine emperors and sultans of the Ottoman Empire. It is not surprising that these lands attract not only sun-hungry holidaymakers and water sports enthusiasts, but also those interested in the culture of ancient eras and the secrets of the past (for example, the mystical order of dervishes, temples in the rocks and underground cities in Cappadocia). Turkey is also a real paradise for experienced travelers who are eager to discover the wonders of nature (for example, the Anatolian plateau) and meet interesting people. A film dedicated to this amazing country will take us through the most interesting and unusual corners of Turkey - from Istanbul, Anatolia, the Aegean coast with its fashionable resorts to the eastern border. The most important stops on our route are: Istanbul, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Marmaris, Bodrum, Konya, Cappadocia, Nemrud-Dag, Antalya, Lake Van and Ishak Pasha Palace. close

London is the most popular city among tourists in Europe: annually it receives 30 million visitors. We will find here many beautiful galleries, museums, theaters and masterpieces of architecture. Among the latter, special attention should be paid to the majestic Buckingham Palace, the residence of the Queen of England, as well as Westminster Abbey - a valuable monument of national history. Coronations took place in this temple, where rulers, heroes and famous masters of art are buried. Above the Parliament building there is a tower with the famous Big Ben bell. Through the government district we will pass to Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Surcus. The heart of London is the City district with the monumental St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower Bridge connecting the banks of the Thames. In turn, the West End is a region of theaters and clubs. In Soho we will feel the atmosphere of the far East, and in Kensington we will feel the rural idyll. During a trip to London, you can not miss the Natural History Museum, Madame Tussauds Wax Gallery, Greenwich and Hyde Park. We will also take a look at the world-famous flower exhibition, the Shakespeare Theatre and the Sherlock Holmes House. Ride an amphibian with a duck beak and come face to face with a dinosaur - nothing is impossible in London. . . close

San Francisco - "City of Dreams" - is located at the point where the American continent meets the Pacific Ocean. We will admire it from the helicopter, and then look closer from the trailer of the legendary cable car. Finally, plunge into a delightful motley crowd in the heart of the city - in Union Square. Not far from the square is the most exotic area – Chinatown, which is home to the largest concentration of Chinese population outside of Asia. In the Financial District, all banks, oil companies, military concerns and insurance companies have located their representative offices on the West Coast. Haight-Ashbury has long been an ordinary residential area, but thanks to hippies, it will now always be associated with the hot "Summer of Love" of 1967. The former fishing port, and today the Fisherman Wharf entertainment district, is the starting point for excursions to the legendary Alcatraz prison, which today houses the museum. Passing the famous Golden Gate Bridge, we will go to the picturesque resort town of Sausalito. Napa Valley is a region of vineyards where the noblest California wines are produced. At the end of our trip, we will visit Silicon Valley – the cradle of the American revolution in computer technology – as well as the coast, in the mecca of windsurfing enthusiasts – Santa Cruz. close

Chile occupies a long but relatively narrow strip of land stretching along the South American continent. The huge spread of geographical latitudes makes this country a land of contrasts: both natural and cultural. On the 4,300-kilometer journey, we will discover the driest desert on our planet, the Atacama, and on the other hand, the edge of countless lakes. We will see the beautiful mountain peaks of the Andes, reaching an altitude of 7000 meters above sea level, bays, fabulous islands, ice fields, volcanoes, as well as wide sandy beaches, ideal for recreation. Thus, in just a few days, we can fully feel the influence of several climatic zones on the human body, although the widest area of Chile does not exceed 200 kilometers! Thanks to this heterogeneity, everyone will find something for themselves in Chile: beach holidays, hiking and cycling, climbing steep slopes or rallying in the desert, and lovers of wildlife and solving mysteries will get acquainted with the rituals of Native American cultures. close
