Little Samantha tries to end this destructive relationship with her letter, calling for peace and harmony.
This position of a twelve-year-old child cannot go unnoticed, and a year later the leadership of the Union responded to the girl, she was invited on a friendly visit to the country. Samantha Smith travels to an alien, completely unfamiliar state, about which there are many rumors, as if about a strange and hostile planet. What will she see here? The film is based on some facts from the life of Samantha Smith, of course, the real picture is somewhat embellished by the director, skipped through the prism of his own worldview, but, nevertheless, the situation is conveyed quite accurately - both from the point of view of the audience and according to critics.
