Daisy gets sick during the school year. Her dad is a writer and her mom is an actress rehearsing her lines for a new premiere. She's having an affair with the director. At the premiere of "Mommy" dad sees her and the director kissing. Dad and Daisy leave without waiting for Mom. At home, a scandal is inevitable, but it does not solve anything. Mom goes on tour, and Daisy and Dad go to the village. There she will befriend village children and forget about her incessant cough and sneeze. Soon she begins to miss her mother and asks her father to call her. He writes a telegram, but doesn't send it. The child finds a broken piece of paper and goes to the post office.
