However, he himself is not capable of such risky actions, so he is forced to look for perpetrators. Until the kidnappers learned that the boy was in no hurry to return to his "golden cage". And that he has no friends other than his kidnappers. close

I've never played tennis, I don't like sports movies, but I'll be a dick if it doesn't make me cry and laugh. Why? Because this drama is not about sports, but about people in sports because sport, like war, simply puts everyone in their places and only the athlete depends on whether he remains a person. The plot may seem simple - former tennis star Nick Irons (Van Patten) retired from professional sports, refusing to go for meanness, drinks and loses his life to bookmaker and gangster usurer Robbins (Sheen). Determined to pass on his "business" son Joel (first on the screen Ben Jorgensen) fond of tennis, he hires Nick, confident that under the guidance of such an educator, the son will change his racket to racket. But Nick not only leads Joel to victory, but also cleanses himself of the dirt that has stuck during this time from the anger of resentment and beer. There is also a love line with Ray Dawn Chong organic without nonsense and showering. Specialists in the analysis of cinematography by bones may find something to complain about, but as a viewer, I put this picture on the shelf next to Arthur Hiller's The Babe. The film is dedicated to the memory of Vitas Gerulytes, a great champion and a great friend. close
