Il Divo – La spettacolare vita di Giulio Andreotti (2008) The film tells about the last years in politics of the famous Giulio Andreotti, who lasted for the role of Prime Minister for almost seven terms, then ran for president, did not pass, and soon he had to resign, because he was accused of links with the mafia. He was famous for his wit (not laughter, but wit) and excellent endurance. Il Divo called him journalist Mino Pecorelli, who was assassinated in 1979, like many of those involved in politics and all sorts of exposure. It was almost impossible to confirm his accusation - 26 times he was brought forward and 26 times acquitted. He was sentenced to 24 years in prison, but released a year later. He didn't make any money. Honestly, not being a person who is passionate about politics, I started watching the film, stopped it, climbed the Internet, read about it and about that time, and then watched the film with a completely different understanding (and if anyone decides to watch it, I advise you to do it in advance). Actor Tony Servillo, who played this role. Magnificent makeup and the art of transforming Servillo - we forget that the actor is quite tall, we see a stooped dwarf with large protruding ears and clever sad eyes. I will definitely not recommend this movie to everyone, but if anyone likes serious films, I recommend it if you haven’t watched it yet. Andreotti himself reacted quite angrily to the film, which Sorrentino thought was a good sign: Andreotti reacted angrily, and that's a good result because he's usually dispassionate before every event. The reaction reassures me and confirms the power of cinema compared to other critical instruments of reality.
