Moscow FM Oksana Bychkova, director of Peter FM, has released her second film, this time in Moscow. On this simple phrase, the review could end. Indeed, why unnecessary words, and so everything is clear: love in a big city with some participation of the city. This is to some extent true, although Moscow is not as peculiar a city as my hometown of St. Petersburg, and it tends to be less involved in people’s lives. Bychkova changed the age of the characters, now they are both over 30, but left love or at least a love spark between the characters.
No longer a very young translator, Masha agreed to translate the British puppeteer Tom, who never for a moment parted with his alter ego - a funny toy Diggy. He keeps talking to her. It is clear that it is very difficult for a serious person to translate such "dualei" and remain herself...
The assessment of this film depends entirely on the attitude of a person to Peter FM and beautiful romantic fairy tales, which unexpectedly turn out to be registered in Russian cities. Do they seem to be made up, almost sucked out of the finger?
Rather, yes, my image of Peter is completely different, Moscow is similar, but I do not live there, which means I perceive the city with the same eyes as Tom, that is, the view is eerily subjective and connected not so much with the city as with your own stories ... But why then I am almost sure that the action of the new Bychkova films will take place somewhere in the Russian province ... I will definitely go see this new movie.
