Can't decide
- How are you feeling?
I don’t know, it’s like I’m in a dream.
- You're not sleeping, baby.
Have I been told I can choose my own name?
- That's right.
- Anything?
- Have you thought of it yet?
- I can't decide. So I can't decide who Eric Wilson was or who Jack Burage became. The film perfectly shows the difficulty of returning to society, complicated by a lack of experience. The hero in a short time experiences all possible feelings: euphoria, joy, love, satisfaction, longing, doubt, disappointment, pride, fear, loneliness and despair. His feelings seem so bright and pure compared to those who are tempted to live a free life that you begin to believe that there is another person in front of you. Jack has a hard time parting with the past, but he tries, because this is the last remaining hope. And the people around them hate the memories, because they like it so much. How to confront injustice and misunderstanding you only know at the end.
