In a remote Belarusian village lives film mechanic Taras Poltorabatko, and in a Roman hospital dies great Fellini. These two people, who have never met, share a passion for film. The villagers of Taras, who were literally crushed by change, are not up to the movies. They learn to survive. Taras was tired of the calls to go to the cinema, to touch art. When the news of the death of the great Federico reached them, the villagers went to the club and wept, watching the Nights of Cabiria.
