A documentary about space exploration. It's split in two. Historical and predictive, about the future development of interstellar space.
In the beginning, a lot is told about Tsiolkovsky, how living in a remote province, a school teacher painted how it would be possible to move in emptiness and derived equations of cosmic velocities. It's cute and naive. The Queen is not mentioned in the film, he was then classified for obvious reasons.
The second part is much more interesting, because the film was released before Gagarin’s flight into space. For 1957, the scenes of space adventures are very expensive and high-quality. They say that Western science fiction was inspired by the films of Pavel Klushantsev and this tape in particular.
I was especially impressed by the eco-friendly ship, whose crew turned on the lights in the cockpit only while in the shadow of the Earth.
The film still deserves attention today, albeit for completely different reasons, which in 1957, most likely, no one thought about.
