Do cats eat midges? Do you eat cats? I don’t know why, but I still decided to write a review for the cartoon, and this, in my opinion, is quite difficult to do, at least I have not yet succeeded.
Walt Disney cartoons are a separate part of cinema, which has long been integral to both ordinary people and moviegoers. This studio has released a lot of new stories and characters, and reworked a huge number of popular fairy tales, albeit in its inherent surrealism. “Alice in Wonderland” is a vivid example of a real giant from the “golden age” of the company, so it is absolutely not strange that this fairy tale is extremely well made.
You can always talk about the plot for a long time, but exceptions when it is not boring. Naturally, in the cartoon could not do without, apparently, the favorites of either filmmakers, or the American people, Trulal and Tralal. And the scene with talking flowers on the flowerbed appears in almost every film adaptation. However, for example, there is no scene in the house of the Duchess, which in my opinion is very funny and I think it would be good in this cartoon.
From what did not like, perhaps, I can remember a lot of unnecessary oddities that came up with the screenwriters of the picture, who watched – he will understand. But from what I liked - the scene of Alice falling in the rabbit hole, but probably the favorite will always be the episode about the house of the White Rabbit, although it is not quite from the book.
In general, the plot of the cartoon is impossible to describe, in my opinion, since it is simply an interweaving of ideas carefully pulled from different places by two works of Lewis Carroll. However, I want to note that the last fifteen minutes, the film for me sharply loses its gloss, the feeling that the creators have lost their fuse by that time, so the end of the cartoon seems to me somewhat crumpled.
For me, perhaps, the main plus is the brightness of literally all the characters, since many film adaptations pay attention for some reason only to the character of Alice. Here we also see the White Rabbit with its problems, and absolutely insane Hatter and March Hare, and charmingly charming Sonya, and the Lady of Hearts, although not quite a book version, you can not forget about the Cheshire Cat, which is simply striking in its optimism.
I want to say that I always liked the way of drawing characters in cartoons of this studio, despite all the inaccuracies and embellishments of reality. So personally, I can only say "thank you" for this aspect of the film.
Oliver Wallace's music leaves quite a variety of feelings. There are moments where it is not noticeable at all, and there are quite a lot of them. But the songs in “Alice” will definitely be remembered, although they are truly Disney.
Another point I would like to remember is probably the Russian voiceover. The complete duplication into Russian has indeed succeeded, it seems to me that the liveliness of the narrative remains. At the same time, the songs are close in meaning and now there is a chance to sing them. But, despite all the pluses, listening to the recent voiceover is a little strange, you can say even wild. A little vile voice Alexei Mikhalev still did his job, and became in my heart native.
It seems to me that this adaptation of the fairy tale can be safely called phantasmagoria, despite all the advantages of our version. So I think that this cartoon should be seen at least once, and at least a good, kind film, albeit not a new one.
