From a Western with Clint Eastwood, you inevitably expect too much if your acquaintance with the genre began with Sergio Leone’s Dollar Trilogy. “Two Mules for Sister Sarah” is not the same movie. There is no such camera work, no spirit of epicity and that atmosphere. Even the soundtrack is not so expressive and memorable, although, it seems, also Morricone.
However, when the first disappointment passes, it becomes clear that the film is not bad at all. Clint Eastwood plays just as cool, with cool shootouts, dangerous adventures and humour all present.
