King Kong Peter Jackson has created a truly extraordinary remake. The story of “beauty and the monster” came to life. Although the story of the “blaze” of man and the “humanization” of the beast is not new, but it looks fresh.
The first thing that fascinates is the sound of the film. All sound effects are so real that it seems that you yourself are behind the screen along with the years.
The second is, of course, special effects. Few people can compare this to PJ. All his action scenes are so vivid and memorable. And it does not last any pathetic 2-3 minutes. Escape along the pass with giant dinosaurs from small predatory tyrannosaurs, the battle of Kong with huge T-saurs, survival among huge nasty insects, Kong in the big city, and, of course, the final scene with aircraft. All top quality. It’s just like a blockbuster.
Heroes, as they should be in blockbusters: brave, brave, selfless. You don't really believe them, but it's a fairy tale. Why do you want to spoil yourself?
Jack Black is perfectly matched for a brazen, boastful director. Plus him. I also want to mention Naomi Watts. This is one of those actresses that is not vomiting to look at in a film of this magnitude. I remembered a similar role in Mulholland Drive aspiring actress in a big movie. In the same film, she is unforgettable and elegant.
The formula of such a movie, it seems, is not complicated: a remake of once over the popular film, the addition of a share of his (by the way, PJ stuffed the film with “Chernobyshchina” ala “Godzilla”: all the creatures he has are simply huge in size and with huge teeth), high-quality expensive special effects, a good cast. But why do we not see such small masterpieces among such films so often?
By the way, I began my acquaintance with the work of PJ a long time ago with the passage of the game of the same name, in which the developers very well managed to convey the atmosphere of the film. That is, the player really penetrates into what is happening on his monitor. The same thing happened while watching the movie.
